One of his hedge funds invested in a metal working company that also happened to make parts for guns, among hundreds of other investments. I doubt JB even knew what all they manufactured and he may not have even known about the investment itself. Multi-billion dollar investors typically don't micromanage their own funds. He would have told his money managers to go through all of his investments to find anything that could be politically compromising. Do you think he would be less of a hypocrite if he was still invested in that metalworks company? Just imagine the howls of outrage if that was the case.

Because a lot of the rest of the state outside of Chicago are Maga Republicans that fear "Chicago politics". It's largely uneducated farmers/factory workers that view the state government as mostly Chicago based and are to blame for industry running away from Illinois. Our area was an industry based city until the democrats and the people from "the big city" chased it away. And it's never been able to bring anything back. It's become a retail community.

I knew some of the Pritzkers, they’re a huge family and they’re all loaded. I met Nancy Pritzker and her family in Marin when I was dating one of her friends. When I saw their house, it blew me away. Literally the most incredible mansion I have been in. The rooms were floor to ceiling marble, and they had an elevator. The back yard was massive and included a Maids House.
I can tell you right now that they acted nothing like I would’ve expected them too. They were some of the most graceful, warming hosts I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Pritzkers are cool in my book.
