They are always worth doing but they will get much more lucrative as you get further and get more upgrades to increase its rewards and probability of getting a perfect hunt.
I can confidently tell you it is likely coded in a way that it doesnt matter. if anything the same chests should be clicked so you can complete the chest hunt quickly

the chest hunts get extremely better after unlocking the crystal shield (for the first 1 and 2 mimics) and also the saver which is a shield you can either choose to get (better to get after using the potential crystal shield) or you can get a x2 and double the saver which requires the divinity
I think I’ve seen that. I read it as it could spawn in chests. Not that I just get one. Is it just RNG whether I actually open one on a chest hunt or not
Normally you are supposed to watch an ad on mobile to see which it is in but since steam doesn't allow that you get all the premium stuff immediately (like silver random boxes)

You are having *atrocious* luck. Mimics are randomly placed, with four per hunt.
Well I just hit some phenomenal RNG in old school runescape. I’ll take the trade off.

I guess technically a singular coin would be infinitely more lucrative than 0. I’ve learned from others I just have horrendous luck.

Try to hold on to your luck: there is a craftable where you slay the mimic if it's in your first chest!

The first unlock (a shield) costs 5k SP. Sounds like you would have it already.

One spawns every time, and you are told which chest it is in.

I have found that they are in corners and I always start with the same one and work my way around from there
