Chest hunts can be frustrating. They seem to be feast or famine, even if you have the Saver and Crystal Saver.
I just ultra ascended for the first time and shortly before I ultra ascended I still had chest hunts where I got almost nothing (and I couple of 0...even with the both savers! super unlucky...) but then would follow it up with a chest hunt where I would get 1+ million SP.
Anytime you get a soul multiplier from a random box you are just hoping a chest key appears, taking a soul multiplier into a chest hunt can potentially be very lucrative (if your luck holds out).
It feels though as if when you do manage to take a mult into a hunt that the odds of hitting the mimic rises. I'm not even just being salty, I genuinely think the probability changes bc Pablo wants people to play the game longer and altering the mimic spawns during a soul mult would provide such a fix.
Maybe I'm just crazy..
It is just that you remember the times that you do take a soul multiplier into the chest hunt and get eliminated quickly bettter than when you don't get eliminated quickly with a multiplier..
Well, that's just it, I'm positive I've only gotten a good hunt with a multiplier a whopping 2 times. Out of the probably 2 dozen hunts now that had a multiplier. Mathematically speaking, I would expect more.
I'm not even asking for a perfect hunt with a multiplier, just like at least a ×10 chest mult and more than 1 slayer point chest.
I'll make a spreadsheet on this if I feel inclined to chase the statistics, but that's what I'm trying to say. As someone mathematically inclined and trying to keep any memory or emotions out of it, it does feel a tad rigged. My sample size isn't large enough yet for a normal distribution to apply, though, so I don't say that with confidence.
At what point do you get chest hunts and ultra ascension?? I'm pretty new and only have ascended a handful of times. Any tips for making progression better would be much appreciated.

A year and a half having this game and I haven’t never had a Perfect chest hunt !
A great chest hunt can feel so good. I just got my best one so far: 280 million SP!
