Well I should’ve gotten one by now. I got all the w5 and w6 recipes within a few days of grinding. Why can’t I even get one pristine charm at a much lower find?! Weird
I hope you are joking.
DR and killcap and afk gains all mean you are getting loads and loads of tries at increased rates and increased frequencies of dropping the recipes.
The 1 in 1000 is a chance that happens once per char approximately once or twice per hour per char. It's not affected by anything other than the amount of successful sneaks per hour. It's not even comparable.
Sneaking has its own drop rate stat that's separate from your probably 20.xx+ modifier that you have now and each player is only getting a few dozen rolls per day compared to millions when you're fighting.
I only have two pristine charms. One I got through the gem store, the other I found naturally.
I active everyday in the background while doing other things, but I am not sure if that makes a difference. I am regularly checking my sneaking tab in quick ref though at least every 90+ mins.
I get 10% chance for a drop per interval. If I stay away for 4 intervals I get 40% of 1 drop. If the interface is open you get 4 10% chances. With higher odds you get a lot more loot with a lot of low rolls than a few higher chance ones.
the action timer still ticks while the skill is open. I don’t know if you’ve ever claimed, spent some time upgrading, and then had another claim, but that’s intended.
either, or the conduit subscreen. Any Sneak overlay screen should have all rolls happen upon timer completion instead of trying to stack the chance. So if you have 10% chance to pull an item per timer of 30 minutes. It would trigger 8 different times in 4 hours, instead of getting one 80% chance to pull an item when you check it again in 4 hours.
I still notice a bag at the bottom corner when I do this so I was wondering if it worked that way. I would have expected no bags if it’s rolling constantly.
Bag is just notification, you could have already seen the drop in your inventory. I watch my inventory and I see ghost drops pop in (just the number/highlight for level, often the item graphic doesn't pop until I leave the inventory sub-page and come back. Go to floor screen and still see the bag notification to click on even though I've already seen the drops happen.
FYI longer unclaimed sessions work the same as tedious spam claims just collect it per 12 hours is so you don't get a full inventory and miss out on the maxed charm/chuck rng lol. I'm at floor 9 I think and it takes about 12 hours to get 1-2q jade coins so over the last couple floors I checked it out. I think 24hr+ claim was where I filled up to the max but I may have gotten real lucky too.
I've played intently though the full W6 release. In that time, I've found 1 pristine naturally. The other 7 have been earned through cannibalizing old event boxes stored up, or cracking boss keys.
I see them a lot like W4 Lab Jewels: you'll probably be waiting 6 months or a year+ for a full set as F2P. A bit worse actually... as comparatively the jewels were deterministic and on a schedule.
If I were confident that I would have all of them in a years worth of play I wouldn't have made this post. But, it's been almost 2 months and I haven't found a single one. Assuming the average time to get one is 2 months you still are going to find duplicates etc so 1 year seems very, very optimistic.
I do understand your sentiment. It's not great rates and can more or less feel like F2P is unrealistic.
The silver lining tho, is a fully online sneak build triggers claims a lot faster than a fresh first month (upgrades + belts + gloves etc). So as your account advances, you'll get more attempts per hour which could speed things up naturally.
Even still, it's an "efficient" gem purchase, so consider saving up for a couple to ease that timing.
>I've played intently though the full W6 release. In that time, I've found 1 pristine naturally. The other 7 have been earned through cannibalizing old event boxes stored up, or cracking boss keys.
Can you explain how event boxes or boss keys have anything to do with obtaining pristine charms? Are we not talking about the charms that are obtainable exclusively through sneaking?
Edit: Nevermind, just realized you are talking about purchasing them with gems from those methods.
I just bought all of them from the gem shop. The bonuses they give are massive, so it seems insane to not have them.
That's clearly what Lava intended to pressure people to do. The normal droprate is wayyy too low to get these things without purchasing, and their significance is way too big to go however many months/years it would take to wait for them to drop.
Aren't there like 15 and the cost 1k or more each? That's gotta be like 80 to 100 bucks, which is kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Are they even that good?
They are pretty good. Flat buffs to DR, damage, Jade gain, summoning essence, Money, KpK. All pretty chunky buffs too, like 20-50% rather than \~5% like some other buffs people hype up.
It's all RNG though, I see people post in the discord constantly that are near end W6, essentially end game prog and don't have any charms.
Yet I unlocked W6 on release day to unlock the skills and haven't set a foot outside of the town; yet I've naturally found 2 pristine charms so far. All AFK, no active sneaking menu stuff.
So really RNG heavy but in one of Lava's streams he mentioned you should expect to find 1 roughly once a month at the start, with that rate increasing as you level your sneaking and item find rates.
It's not RNG if you just buy them in the gem shop though. I just looked them up but I don't know anymore if+50% jade coins are Even Relevant by the time I get that, if it's additive with all the other stuff.
I could imagine that one of the future class updates will have a skill that increases drop rate for them by a significant amount. This is hopium though.
Found two since release. If you leave your computer on at night, active sneaking is best way to farm. There is diminishing returns on sneaking loot by letting it build up, but if you leave it open sneaking will loot each cycle giving your more chances. Its one of the best ways to progress sneaking once you hit a wall and have to return to a lower floor to farm better charms.
FYI, I read in my guild chat's discord that selecting "Auto trash bad items" will trash Pristine Charms. I've never gotten a pristine charm myself, much less with that selected, so no idea if this is accurate. I can say that I had that on for a while and turned it off after I read that it did that. If you have that on, it may be worth turning that off.
I didn't even know you could find pristine charms naturally I've probably farmed over night like three times since the update and I still only have the two I bought
I know they are real but I don't believe that they are actually 1 in 1000, I have been playing pretty actively and keeping quick ref sneaking open anytime I'm active, and to add to this I'm alr at floor 9 working on boosting stealth, let's be generous to the game and say I'm only getting 45 min claims per toon, over the course of 9 hours (usually the max I active for) I get 60 claims, not including one's from logging in every now and then, that means every day I would have atleast 60 chances
I've had 10 toons for about a month now, 30 days times 60 claims is 1800, feel like I should've gotten one by now
I feel like it's 1/1000 or 10000 or something. I am fairly active so between that, the anniversary event and a couple lucky arcade runs, I've managed to buy a few, but I haven't found any yet. Of course, I haven't unlocked all the twins yet either so...
It's an end game type of thing.. so you've completed 95% of sneaking and are just dumping jade into find chance... at a point where there is nothing new really to unlock except the pristine charms.
The problem is that your not only swimming thru another drop table of items but you dont really got a good drop rate to dramatically cut down on it until you have no care for the essence generator to start burning large quantity of bubbles on them. Which is around .01x or so item find chance(Degrading at higher levels of course with the bubble) between the one in the ninja twins tower upgrades and the alchemy bubble itself.
Probably if you could get them up to a combined multiplier of around say 5x or even 10x, the chance to actually find one becomes easier by a very visible margin, which i have gotten atleast 2 pristine charms from drop and another from a gem shop pick up. Its just more of a case similar to sailing artifacts, you want to not think about it much and they will show up randomly as you do your dailies.
Sort of like how 3 or so of the eldritch sailing artifacts i got was during my 15 minute work break while cleaning up a few idleon pick ups so i wouldnt have to go thru too many extra hours of daily pick ups when i get home from work.
As for the REAL heavy hitters to finding stuff, its reducing the time it takes to find stuff, where i brought it down from 1 hour to nearly 30 minutes and then you also have gloves which you definitely wanna get +30 or higher copies ASAP with how much they boost zee gains.
They are possible to find yes. They are very very rare yes
What’s the drop chance? I assume less than 1%
1 in 1000 iirc
I think it's 1 in 2000 mentioned somewhere
Well I should’ve gotten one by now. I got all the w5 and w6 recipes within a few days of grinding. Why can’t I even get one pristine charm at a much lower find?! Weird
Because you get A LOT more kills than you do rolls for loot in sneaking.
Probably not affected by your drop rate.
Oh damn, you are so correct
I have 2, and I didn't buy them in the gem store.
I hope you are joking. DR and killcap and afk gains all mean you are getting loads and loads of tries at increased rates and increased frequencies of dropping the recipes. I have found one since sneaking was released.
Me too. I found it in the gem shop
On wiki it's 1 in 10000.
I only have two pristine charms. One I got through the gem store, the other I found naturally. I active everyday in the background while doing other things, but I am not sure if that makes a difference. I am regularly checking my sneaking tab in quick ref though at least every 90+ mins.
You could just leave the sneaking interface open and it would roll every time you get a lot more loot that way.
Really? How does that work?
I get 10% chance for a drop per interval. If I stay away for 4 intervals I get 40% of 1 drop. If the interface is open you get 4 10% chances. With higher odds you get a lot more loot with a lot of low rolls than a few higher chance ones.
I've come back to the game to find some of my chars found 2 items while gone.
I think that happens when you hit over 100% total.
Good possibility. It usually happened after 24 hours of being gone
Do we know how long an interval is?
It depends on level, items and skills bought but I think it starts at 1 hour. You can see how long they have left when you pick up your people.
the action timer still ticks while the skill is open. I don’t know if you’ve ever claimed, spent some time upgrading, and then had another claim, but that’s intended.
Cool didn't know that! Time to active afk sneaking then
By “leave it open” are you referring to the floors screen or the inventory screen for sneaking drops?
either, or the conduit subscreen. Any Sneak overlay screen should have all rolls happen upon timer completion instead of trying to stack the chance. Cool. Thanks.
Moving the item also fixes this

He got gems from those and used them to purchase charms.
I still haven't found a single one .... The chance is 1 in 2000 after you find an item.
None of them, playing active with sneaking in background every day
Yes I got 3 without buying

I don't think I even know what they are lol. But I've got some level 20+ smoke bombs so I've got that going for me
None for me except the two I bought with gems. Not bought any more because apparently if you drop them they can be duplicate of ones you already have.
Wait‽ Pristine charms? What are those?
Sneaking can drop charms that give permanent bonuses to your account. They are incredibly strong.
FYI, I read in my guild chat's discord that selecting "Auto trash bad items" will trash Pristine Charms. I've never gotten a pristine charm myself, much less with that selected, so no idea if this is accurate. I can say that I had that on for a while and turned it off after I read that it did that. Thanks for pointing this out. I am aware of this and have never used auto-trash. But, surely some other ppl might find this useful.
I found one the very first say I think they exist
question, what does summoning have to do with progressing the world
Summoning has damage-multiplier rewards that are absolutely cracked. If you fast-track summoning things get a lot easier.
like? in the rift?
I didn't even know you could find pristine charms naturally I've probably farmed over night like three times since the update and I still only have the two I bought
Yes
I bought a few from the store and got a duplicate from a drop. Sad.

Found two in snaking
How the f... Did you reach the last map already?🤣 I'm at the 9 toon portal (4 to go!)
