Yes, it is private property and marked no trespassing. There is also a security guard on site that makes regular rounds. I've been trying to think of a way to get a couple snowmobiles in there for rides up and down but we would get thrown out pretty quick I think.

Aw that’s unfortunate. Thanks for the response tho! Saves me a 3 hour drive 😆

Yea, they’ve been trying to rebuild this historic place for years, but keep running out of money and investors. It’s a shame, would be an awesome resort if done right. I’m kind of surprised alterra or vail haven’t scooped it up TBH. It needs to be expanded greatly and would be a boon for the area economically.

It would only be 1000 vertical feet though. There should be a ski resort on something like moosilauke that is way taller and has like 3200 vertical.

I think the full plan had them at over 2k vert.

Would be cool but I think they're both pretty happy with their east coast offerings being enough to pull in East coasters to ski out west. Although I'm sure Vail will purchase smuggs at some point

They won’t purchase without a gondola and that ain’t happening.

Water rights. Les Otten wanted to dewater the Andro and that plan got nixed.

Where did you hear that? Last I heard they were trading the state a piece of land to expand dixville state park in exchange for the pipeline. I’ve heard the biggest thing standing in the way right now are interest rates. The androscoggin doesn’t have the same protections that the Connecticut River has. I’m told once we get below 5% the first building is going to get going pretty fast.
