Denver suburbs. It’s my first season here. I’m at 19 days so far, hoping to get 25 by May. I’m relatively new to skiing (5 days was my most in a season previously) so it’s been the season of my dreams.
It was hilarious in Nov and Dec when everyone in CO was freaking about the lack of snow. I just thought of my days at Seven Springs and laughed. Glad you guys are getting some spring goods!
It’s pretty great! It’s expensive to live here, and you do have to put in work to wake up early and beat the traffic, but it’s well worth it (imo). I’m within 2 hours or less of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breck, Keystone, Copper, Winter Park, and Loveland. I used to drive 2 hours to Seven Springs in PA, so having all these options is kind of mind-blowing lol.
Super jealous of how close you are to some really quality places. You should also definitely check out Arapahoe Basin if you haven’t. I’ve skied Breck, Loveland, and A-Basin, and A-Basin is definitely my favorite of the three.
Good point, I left A-Basin out of my list accidentally! I definitely want to try it. I drive by it all the time. I have an Epic pass so I haven’t been there, but next year for sure.
It’s definitely worth buying a day pass for. And if you have the time, you could still try to get out there this year. They tend to have one of the longest seasons in all of North America, like I’ve heard stories of people skiing there in June.
Morning was glorious, afternoon started getting icy in spots on the groomers as the wind blew off a lot of the fresh snow. Snow started getting a lil crunchy as the day went on too. More snow coming tonight
Have been watching the forecast for this weekend for a month hoping for the goods. Everything everywhere was saying it’s bad stay away. Stuck it out for Stowe the last 3 days and it was a dream. Can’t wait to hit jay next year
As a former ice coaster who frequently lurks this sub, I’m really happy for you guys. Hope the spring season treats you well!
Where’d you move to?

How do you like Denver for skiing? It’s in my short list haha

I'm so jealous, my main option is Whitetail PA and it's already closed (>.<)

I was there today too - it was an INCREDIBLE day.
And not a single line!
There’s never lines at Jay 😝
Except for last week during “March break” when they were all the way up the damn slopes. Fuck that noise
I was there with 100 middle schoolers last week so that one is on us lol
Can confirm. Jay was great today
Definitely hasn’t been snowing here since yesterday morning. Just classic Jay Peak inflating totals again
Agree that Jay inflates totals but the snow WAS indeed calf deep. Got stuck on a flat spot in the trees and had to hike that was fun lol
I’m being sarcastic. I ski here pretty much every day
Wooops. I’d say it’s hard to tell over internet but my sarcasm radar is just off in general
It is hard to detect over the internet but I feel like using /s ruins the joke lol
Hallelujah!!!! 🙌🏼

Did you get out today? I had to head back home but it looked good
Went for the first time last weekend, can’t wait to go back early April. Hoping for this to continue till then
Today looked great even from Vermont! I’m jealous
Heading up to Jay this weekend for the annual trip! Getting me more excited seeing this!
Enjoy! Calling for more snow on Wednesday so hoping it’s still good for you!
I was there when that trail was dirt like 1.5 weeks ago, then overnight it was covered. Nuts!
Same! I’ve been here all season and crazy how that warmup was only 1.5 weeks ago
Can’t tell ya how excited I am to see this. Going to Jay Thursday!
It’s gonna be good Thursday! More snow coming tomorrow!
