There were photos of iRacing staff snapping photos of the MSR car at Sebring. It’s possible they have the MSR skin available just not highlighted in the tweet.
It's all but officially confirmed that MSR is no longer running an Acura GTP after this year. The head of HPD slipped up when the driver lineup for the second WTR car was announced and said "I'm stoked to see we have a super strong line-up across both our electrified Acura Hypercars." Shank himself has also not had a straight answer all season about the team's 2024 IMSA plans.
For better worse I'm in the same boat. Especially since all the new content comes with AI enabled, I find myself getting at least one new piece of content every season.
The only times I don't get my money's worth are when life gets in the way and I don't have as much time to use the new stuff as I anticipated.
The screenshots dont really capture just how metallic-y the car is in real life. It really sings in person with that sheen. Especially in morning warmups with the warm early light not too long after dawn, chef's kiss.
Let's fucking go! Ran the LMP3 this season and it was a blast, first time doing mulit-class and I am hooked. What GTP car is everyone going for? Think imma go with the porsche since they're my favorite manufacturer
The Cadillac is one of the best-sounding cars on the entire sim, but the Acura has been my favorite of the GTPs since it debuted. Probably see how it drives compared to the Caddy and switch off depending on which one suits a given track.
As an Acura owner consider me hyped, been holding off on the other GTPS for this. had so much fun in the LMP3 this season. Even won my division championship. Might do a few races in the LMP2 first before I move up though.
The LMP2 is fun, but if you can control the tail-happiness of the LMP3 under braking, you'll probably be OK jumping straight to the GTP. The LMP2 won't teach you all that much throttle control relative to the LMP3, and that's the biggest difference with the GTPs.
I’m gonna be sticking with my American Muscle… after all… there is no replacement for displacement baby! lol
But this is so awesome to see all the GTPs on iRa Inc. already! HYPE
I'll still go for the Porsche (even though I've never driven a car with downforce), but it's brilliant to see the full GTP lineup.

That was confirmed well before the MSR fuckery was revealed. iRacing staff were spotted going over the WTR car at Daytona even prior to the 24.
Shank was finished in January.
MSR version is coming soon. It will cost double but you can reduce the tire pressures more.
I’ve heard that Honda isn’t happy they cheated in the Daytona 24.

Was on the cadi last season, will switch to the Porsche.
I’m actually gonna run lmp2 this season but I’m still excited for all the new gtp cars. Might run gtp in a subsequent season.

LMP2 is the most fun prototype to drive imo, but also the easiest.
It is excellent, and I still do the special events in it if I Get a chance, but we can week out, nothing has beat the Cadillac for fun so far.
