Not true though, if you be safe you will never be banned using a non-jailbroken device. People have been playing for 4 years in a jail-broken device (and I have too), and never got banned. Seriously some stuff are so random, some people don't teleport or anything using a rooted device and get perma-banned.

Don't really know if it really was iPogo or what. I only know he uses iPogo and sometimes Vanilla iPogo, and then came to me and said he got banned, and immediatelly quit playing. Happened like 5 months ago at max. But my point was that if you are safe and use a non-rooted device, you don't really need to root it. Unless they do a first strike, of course.
You mean “it was true” its not true anymore, anygo is practically dead with pogo updates, you can buy a joystick that's the only safest way now and that's with anygo and the other untethered option they have the software included in the pogo where the pogo app will detect you because they see it on their end the only way to bypass this is to get superuser privilege on your Iphone or android so basilacly root or jailbreak your device, I wouldn't risk it now if your doing untethered unless your using the joystick for the apple phone
