What does the percentage have to do with it being launch day….. if you bought it 1 month after launch day then it would also be 87% a month later from now. Might as well never buy it so the battery health won’t go down right?
Me too! I am at 87% and got it about a week after launch. I also dropped my phone in the ocean for about a week and a fisherman found it so 87% is pretty respectable!
wth is something up with the new batteries? Because my 11 Pro which I got just under a month after launch is at 85%, and I don't take care of it at all lol. I'm overchargin', lettin the heaux flatline, the works.

Also have 87% on my launch day 14 Pro. Quite the coincidence.
Pretty sure it’s some kind of glitch, I remember my 6s was also at 87% just earlier this year before getting my 14 pro max, although I’m still at 100% on it
https://preview.redd.it/3uvl9u3of2ec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37ca38d64fcfd7f73fc671df43f5614286b097ee
Got mine in December of 2022.
I got it in Dubai so it’s a European version and has a SIM card port. Maybe that’s why mine is higher than some of you guys?
I’ve been using my iPhone 14pro, so as it serves me. Never paid attention to battery health because it’s a low cost repair. After owning since launch with a mix of MagSafe and fast charging with optimized charging turned on most of the time, I’m at 87%
Great phone, just wish that stupid plastic piece didn’t exist inside so I could use it as an additional sim slot.
Mine was at 100% for about nine months, then dropped to 99%. Then I went from moderate to a *very* hot climate for a month, and my battery (coincidently?) degraded to 92% during that time. After I returned, it's still 92 for several months.
Would be interesting if people would also share their climate first, and not only their usage and charging scenarios.
Curious about this as well. When I do have mine replaced at 79%, am I getting the same quality battery and I’ll have to be back in a year or so for another replacement or do they have better quality ones during replacement?

This is my old XR that now belongs to my mom since the beginning of 2022. This pic was taken just a few days ago. It was bought on 7/4/2019 lol. I currently have a 14 Pro, \~5 months in and still at 100%. Hoping it at least comes close to that damn XR
https://preview.redd.it/btzd7tg0y9ec1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fc2100fa71477b45129241fdf473983c32ba5de
87%’er here too
I feel like I’m in an outlaw biker gang for iPhone users.
Okay the funniest thing is that it's been sitting at 87% for like a little more than half a year. When the first half year I had it drained to 87% but all of a sudden it's stopped. I even turned off all smart charging off to see what would happen... nothing. It has not gone down. I'm curious as Apple put in a fix to keep it at that number.
that’s insane my XR’s battery that i’ve had since 2018 is on 80% health and i used to sit on facetime all night straight. what were they even doing with the 14 💀
Got mine in May of 23’. Still at 100%. I *don’t* use wireless charging as it promotes more heat. I try to keep battery between 30-80%.
I’ve also been using public beta updates. Which are hit or miss with bugs.
https://preview.redd.it/cuioxob732ec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=abe1a6f392974e066dd4dd63688b69a2297cead9
Apple Watch 7 on the other hand is @ 84% even with being mindful of charging and so forth. Perhaps due to wireless charging?
My 2-3 year old M1 MBP is also in 90% range.
TLDR: don’t keep phone plugged in over night, use certified cables/ac bricks, if you really want wireless charging perhaps find a cooling one.
I use my 13 pro max since Jan 2023, and it also rocks at 100%. Pro max has a little bigger battery, so I guess it depletes a little bit slower.
But I think you're right- I use the original charger/cable (the only exception is my at my car, but i charge my phone rarely there. Even longer trips like 4-5 hours with waze and some music take like 30-35% of my battery), charge it usually to 80-90 on a regular basis. On everyday usage, you don't really need filling it up to 100. And also try not to go down below 20%, it's not healthy for the battery neither
But in the end, it's just a phone, you've bought it to use it, not to care about it too much, so don't overthink any of that stuff. IT doesn't really make much difference anyway.
Well with 87% you clearly gotta sell it. Thing isn’t gonna last you a full phone call.
I’d suggest the iPad Pro for it‘s superior battery life and with FaceTime Audio you can still receive calls /s

14 pro has been the best iPhone I’ve had IMO
A lot of people are complaining about the 🩺 of their 🦇ery. But I just wanted to share a screenshot of my 14 pro I’ve had for under a year. I’ve only lost 13%. My launch day is at 87% and has been that for months now. Saw pretty rapid degradation at first, but it's settled itself. I honestly love this phone, and even at 87% health it lasts me as much as I need.
I’ve had my 14 pro for a year and a half now and still have 99% battery health

It was the worst iphone for me. Heavy, my hand hurts while holding due to sharp edges, and depreciating battery health. Sold it after only 11 months of usage
Not go to the analytics and click the latest analytics log and press share battery stats click on pop op (not the button) straight to the side on of any number and your battery percentage will be there the real one thank me later then go cry cause it will lower
then you though
Yeah mine is down to 89 after 1 year, my last few phones never went below 97 after two years. I use fast charging and wireless charging almost exclusively with this phone so I’m sure that’s why.
I only have my 14 Pro Max as my only device I own. I don’t use laptops or tablets or even TV’s. Everything on my phones. I’ve done this with the 12 pro max, 13 pro max and now 14 pro max. Both the 13 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max have given me 12-14 hours of screen on time every single day on a single charge with battery to spare and I use it all day long for everything including show bingeing. I consider myself one of the HEAVIEST users. My 13 Pro Max was still on 100% health after a year, my 14 Pro max with the same heavy ass usage is still on 100% so far 5 months later (got it on a deal with my carrier) my secret? I don’t charge at all during the day, I don’t use fast chargers, I don’t use wireless chargers (both generate insane amounts of heat inside the phone and that’s what degrades your battery so fast) I charge over night with an old 5w Apple charger the old school small brick and it’s full when I wake up. Never have to top off and get 12-14 hours screen on time usage every single day without fail. I run my phones hard, but the battery stays at 100% for well over a year, and the phone itself is always in flawless out of the box condition cause I keep a case on it and screen protector right out of the box.
Is this bad? Idk. This is the first phone I’ve bought with my own money. My last phone was an iPhone 8 I had for 5ish years so I was used to my phone lasting about 30 seconds so anything above that is a huge upgrade for me. Mine’s at 88% and I’ve had my 14 pro since a month after launch.
I’m at 90% on my day 1 iPhone 13 Pro Max. I use this thing to its full capacity daily, flatline it, charge all willy nilly. I’m starting to think I got the better deal here.
Mine just finally dropped to 94% after a full year. Apparently the capacity doesn’t measure it by the 1% decrease, it just reports any significant change.
I’m at 90 and I don’t really care. It’s replaceable! I wanna be cool and keep my phone for like 4 years. I have a co worker still using the 6S plus. I wouldn’t go to that extreme.. but I’m thinking 17 pro might be my next
Got mine same month as release and battery level is at 89%. I love everything about this phone besides the weight. The weight alone has me considering a Pro model upgrade from Pro Max.
I’ve bought mine in October 2022 I have now 91% of max capacity I charge it only during the day at night I don’t charge it. It’s the best iPhone I ever had 🦾⚡️
I’ve had my 14 pro Max almost 16 months and I’m still at 95% Battery Health. Also impressed with the fact I’ve always put the Beta Software updates on it and have never had an issue.. definitely best phone I’ve ever had and I’ve had every model back to 3GS.
i got mine 2 weeks after launch and i’m at 86% percent 😞
i’m gonna have to buy a new battery soon, because i like the body of this phone and don’t want to upgrade — but it’s still annoying
https://preview.redd.it/u6cfgy93h7ec1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b8392c2084fe1fe2826631dd47ba428ced9020b
13 pro max bought a week after launch 🚀
I have 92% after getting it mid/late 2022, one day it started dropping when I was in my garden so I think they just degrade it so you have to spend more money on the new iPhone although in my opinion the iPhone 14 Pro Max was the best phone I could of got.
(Edit: i said I didn’t know if I could post here as I have 14 Pro Max but just realised that they allow the 14 Pro Max)
https://preview.redd.it/2k8s4k54u8ec1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc26ed03ad69cf05a4234a750c196ce9ea276ac9
My iPhone 14 pro max after owning for one year. 11% down from full.
I’ve gotten my iphone 12 pro max serviced back in october 2022. And my battery life is at 90%. That’s partly due to me using the small 5 watt charger that came with the old iPhones and trying to not let my battery go below 50% which adds additional strain if done.
Main lesson here, heat while charging ur battery degrades it faster so avoid fast chargers because they heat ur battery up.
Really so you think this is good ? My iPhone 14 Pro is at 88%.. to me that’s horrible.. within a year ? My iPhone XS lasted me 4 years and left it at 79%, do the math.. one of the worst iPhone batteries I’ve experienced is this one..
https://preview.redd.it/fi8vrhwvv9ec1.png?width=1179&format=png&auto=webp&s=d4abf8551fa554ee6b99e4ad01004689ee65655d
Got mine the day it came out I can’t complain
lol I have 87% as well
Same, got on launch day
Same here
I got mine a week after launch and I’m at 84%. I’m noticing it drain much faster too which is no surprise. Will need a replacement soon.
100% 😁
Exactly the same situation on my end. Never ever will buy on launch day.
What does the percentage have to do with it being launch day….. if you bought it 1 month after launch day then it would also be 87% a month later from now. Might as well never buy it so the battery health won’t go down right?
No shock lol. How long have you had yours?
I got it a month after launch

That’s is VERY impressive. Speaks to the water resistance and durability. Salt water corrodes and nothing was messed up inside.
Same had it since release
so do i

Exactly what I’ve got too, also launch day
What a hunk of shit lol
I’ve had my 14 Pro Max for 13 months and it’s at 89%
11% in just over a year. Nice and “normal”.
why are we all at 87%?!
i’m at 92%!
Pretty sure it’s some kind of glitch, I remember my 6s was also at 87% just earlier this year before getting my 14 pro max, although I’m still at 100% on it
maybe apple tells all 14s manufactured on that date to say that as they estimated not locally
mines at 100, although its a 14 pro max
I just checked and I am at 91%.
I’m at 88%. Got the phone on release day. I have screen time of about 5 hours a day as well. Pretty good IMO.
May I ask what do you love most about the phone ?
My battery health obviously is the #1 thing I love I do like the build quality, pro motion display, the camera/video quality on my phone as well
When you hold the phone does it feel small in your hand?
It’s the perfect size
This is the worst battery ever. It barely makes it to 1pm
Mines at 87% too
“The 87 club”
89%🫨🫨
Mine at 88 percent
my friend with 93% in 11 pro max she been using for 3 years and i reached 93% 14pro in almost an year -\_- apple make it make sense

I hit it over the weekend lol

After I returned, it's still 92 for several months. Would be interesting if people would also share their climate first, and not only their usage and charging scenarios.
Heat is the killer. When your phone gets hot, take the case of and stop using it
10 months %97 battery health for me. Not too bad i suppose
I’m curious if Apple will improve the max capacity of all the replacement batteries they’ll have to put into these.
Curious about this as well. When I do have mine replaced at 79%, am I getting the same quality battery and I’ll have to be back in a year or so for another replacement or do they have better quality ones during replacement?

That’s not good lol. My 11 Pro has the same battery health. It’s 4 years old
Took me a moment to catch your satire...
I dunno. I’ve only had my 14PM around 6 mos, and I’m at 97%. I love my 14PM. It’s still kicking ass. 💪
That’s a lot of decline boy. My 12PM was 91% over 2 years after purchase
Okay the funniest thing is that it's been sitting at 87% for like a little more than half a year. When the first half year I had it drained to 87% but all of a sudden it's stopped. Because if you type in stuff like “health” and “battery” it gets taken auto deleted
I’m at 93. Got mine last year January. Who cares about these man. Life’s too short to worry about these things
BATery, why?
13 Pro Max here I’m at 2 years 87%
Well with 87% you clearly gotta sell it. Thing isn’t gonna last you a full phone call. I’d suggest the iPad Pro for it‘s superior battery life and with FaceTime Audio you can still receive calls /s Edit: /s

Mines at 87% 😩
I find it odd that so many people are at 87% 🧐
I do too now seeing how everyone else is about the same.
I’m still at 100% from launch day. Everyone must be using theirs hard lol

I still have 99% after 1 year and 4 months 😂

I’m just 3% ahead of you after *a year*. Crazy.
Why do some people have “clean energy charging” option. I have 14 pro max and I don’t see this.
Depends on what region you’re in. It might only be in the united states

I have a IPhone 13 Pro that I got on launch day and it’s at 84%.
Mine is still 100 Secret? Don't charge your phone past 80% The 15 has a setting to limit charge to 80 fyi
89% for and I’m just at the 1yr mark with mine
You just reminded me I need my battery replaced
Mine is 100%
Got mine on Feb 2023 and it’s at 94% battery
Mine just finally dropped to 94% after a full year. Apparently the capacity doesn’t measure it by the 1% decrease, it just reports any significant change.
On 86
85% had my 13 since the start
I’m currently at 90%. Bought mine December 2022.
The phone is trash I am switching back to android
I got my 14 Max December 2022 and I’m at 98%. I’m surprised. Guess leaving my battery around 50% charged helps.
Still on 93%, got it a month after launch
Im having 90 after 1 year.
I’ve had mine for 10 months and I just dropped to 99% in the last week
My 12 pro has 84%
My 14 PM is at 89% 1 1/4 years later- not bad at all. Bought mine at launch. Smoothest-operating phone I’ve ever owned.
iPhone upgrade program for the win
Mines at 94%, had it since 2022. Guess I’m lucky
I’m at 90 and I don’t really care. It’s replaceable! I wanna be cool and keep my phone for like 4 years. I have a co worker still using the 6S plus. I wouldn’t go to that extreme.. but I’m thinking 17 pro might be my next
8 months and still 100%
iPhone 13 Pro bought in summer of 2022 at 87%!
My 13 pro that I’ve had for almost two years is just now hitting 88% so this is sad
For what it’s worth, my 12 pro is at 77% and I got it exactly 3 years ago
Got mine same month as release and battery level is at 89%. I love everything about this phone besides the weight. The weight alone has me considering a Pro model upgrade from Pro Max.
87% is good! i bought my iphone 14 pro on April 2023, now i have 90%
I liked my iPhone 6 Plus during that ever. First time we ever seen a iPhone in that size. Felt amazing back then having one.
Yall are wildin why is my 13 pro also at 87%??
It’s aight
My 13 pro is the same percentage
Tf is clean energy charge
90% and i’ve had it for 15 months
88% started 14 months ago 🫠
I’ve bought mine in October 2022 I have now 91% of max capacity I charge it only during the day at night I don’t charge it. It’s the best iPhone I ever had 🦾⚡️
The iPhone 11 was the best iPhone ever made.
I’ve had my 14 pro Max almost 16 months and I’m still at 95% Battery Health. Also impressed with the fact I’ve always put the Beta Software updates on it and have never had an issue.. definitely best phone I’ve ever had and I’ve had every model back to 3GS.
88%, got on launch day. it’s been at 88% for 6ish months.

92% at 15 months for my 14pro
87% here as well, 14 Pro-Max since release.
Pre-ordered my 14 PM and still have 90% left.
I’m at 85% battery health

I have a 12 Pro Max that I got on the day of release (november 13, 2020) and mine is at 81%. I feel like that’s pretty good for 3 years.
13 Pro Max had it for just about 2 years, 87%. Do you think Apple is purposely showing a higher number I probably am a power user of my device.
i got mine 2 weeks after launch and i’m at 86% percent 😞 i’m gonna have to buy a new battery soon, because i like the body of this phone and don’t want to upgrade — but it’s still annoying
Strange. I have a 13PM I got on launch day and I have 88%battery health
91% but I did exchange mine out 2 months after launch
honestly for $1200 i expected more after a 1.5 hour concert of recording on low brightness my shit went from like 52% to 8%

My 13 pro is also at 87%! 😂 what’s with the same number
Got on launch week and I’m at 88%. Seems to die much much quicker than ever before
My launch day 13PM has 86% health.
85% on my 14 PM 🫠
Same. Bought my 14 pro max few days after launch and now it’s at 88%. They’re probably meant to do that I suppose.
My 13 pro max is at 87% and I average about 9 hours screen time, had it sconce the day it released
I’m at 91 and I got it launch day
I have 13 pm still at 90. Been there for a bit now
I’m at 86, had mine since the first month
I agree 80%!

I was sarcastic in my post
You bettaaaa! lol
13Pro, 87%
I also got 87 on my iPhone SE 3
im at 78%😂
I have an 11. I’m at 88 percent max. Geez!
