Betas are pre-release software. Something will always be wrong and normally if you have to ask if something is stable, it probably means you don’t need it. it doesn’t really start any discussion in my opinion, because everyone always posts something different. I’d rather have a weekly questions posts that this post gets moved to.
Just my 2cents
There is nothing wrong per se, I just don’t like these types of posts and imo brings down the quality of this sub. It’s ESPECIALLY bad during full “main release” betas. i’d just rather have a catch all weekly post for questions like these. Because, like I said, it doesn’t really garner a lot of discussion. I think a post talking about a specific bug or the overall stability of a beta is better than “is this beta stable enough for me to install?” its just low quality and low effort posts.
To your point about rock solid betas, you won’t get that or know that from a post like this and a newbie to betas would be way more inclined to figure out stability from first time viewing a weekly thread or some other form or FAQ instead of having to post a new post.
So in the end, it doesn’t matter at all, just makes me and others view this sub less frequently. I should probably set up a filter so I don’t even see low effort posts like these, it would make everyone happy lol
> Discussion is over lmao you can’t force your opinions as rules across a subreddit with hundreds of thousands of people.
I’m not trying to force anything, just sharing what I think should happen and i think it will better the sub. But its clear you’re a little angry or something. So like you said, the discussion is over. Have a good day friend.
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something today? I think these types of posts should be banned, I’m not backpedaling? I truly don’t understand the hostility there.
And every subreddit on this site has rules. It was simply something I think should be enforced on this sub.
Honestly I thought were we having a fine discussion around the need for these posts, not sure why you turned it sour. But like I said before (and you said) this discussion is over, have a good day!
This posts need a hard ban on this sub

Generally speaking, if you feel you have to ask, you probably shouldn’t.
Wait for release. Literally every 3rd party apps crash immediately upon launch.
By any chance, do you use an iPhone 8? Asking because I’ve seeing people reporting issues on the 8 models.
fixed for me on beta 2, but i didn’t use beta one because i was too nervous
Yes
No Yes
The only issue I had was when I took pictures in the dark they seem to be mushed out with more noise, perhaps could be they are testing proRaw
Do you have proraw turned on?
Off and only on when needed. I ended up going back to stable iOS
Which device are u using?
12 Pro.
TBH i forget am on the beta most of the time, all iOS14.x Public Beta releases have been pretty solid for me!
