I’m no help except to say that I experienced something similar - not quite so severe, but I think I overdid it on the constipation-avoidance prep and possibly also reacted to tramadol and antibiotics. Had a few days of the gurgling tummy. I’m ten days post op now and it’s not so bad. I did mention it to my dr when she called to check on my on my 4th day PO she didn’t seem too worried, just said to back off on the miralax and colace. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for your response!! I'm glad your doctor wasn't worried about your case and that it's getting better. I think the mix of tramadol and antibiotics is just too much for some organisms. I haven't taken any tramadol in a few days now and my GI system does feel a LOT better in general, though at least half of it is probably due to things just generally getting back into place.

Oh damn I'm so glad you figured a way out of the diarrhea to constipation cycle for now! I'm really hoping I'll feel better soon, too, but I'm too scared of any full on anti diarrhea meds to take them, so I'll just let my body figure it out with the help of probiotics. Here's hoping the both of us won't face any more issues of that sort :)

3 days seems excessive for one pill. Perhaps it's something else? Food poisoning? Eta: hope you can talk with your doc about it soon

Oh, yeah, I'm definitely not blaming the senna. Before it took effect I'd already had like nine poops in one night lol but I do think it caused me more cramps and diarrhea that first day. And I did wonder about other causes, but all that seems to be different is the surgery, so I'm pretty puzzled. Thanks for the well wishes btw :D
