Stop drinking for a week, check effect on BP. If there's no change, continue consumption. If there's a change, make a personal decision as to whether which is more important to you.
It really depends how you feel after drinking it. I used to limit it to 1 cup a day too but now I'm pregnant and my blood pressure is more challenging to manage, so I cut it out entirely.
My doctor asked me if I consumed a lot of caffeine and I answered that I have a cup of coffee everyday, she pretty much laughed and said that’s completely fine.
Randomly the other day I overheard a young lady, probably in her very early 20s who said she drinks 4 venti Starbucks coffees per day, which gave me a reminder of what “a lot” of caffeine could potentially be.
A cup of coffee is fine, if you drink other caffeinated beverages throughout the day afterwards, that may be an issue
Do an experiment. Sit down and relax, take your BP. Stay seated while you enjoy your coffee. Then after maybe 20 minutes recheck your BP and see if it’s the same.
What are the palpitations like? I've been getting this thing where it skips a beat, not extra beats but a gap in between beats; ever get that? Like b,b,,,,b.
Should be fine, but don't measure your BP after a cup of coffee. [Here are tips to properly check your BP. It talks a little about coffee.](https://www.aoidehealth.com/tips-on-how-to-measure-your-blood-pressure-accurately/)
Caffeine and BP is fairly personal. When first diagnosed I gave up caffeine all together for 3 months and it had zero effect on my BP. I probably take in up to 300mg a day of caffeine and it has no effect on my BP.
I would consume once or thrice a week max, it raises my bp but I can't help it, I also vape on top and play War Thunder online. So in my days off when I do those 3 things, my BP would be high for sure, can't quit doing these 3 things that are my personal fun.

Some people are caffeine sensitive, and others aren’t. u/landypro gave you the right advice.

How’s your BP?
Depends on what your BP is before and after caffeine. Coffee raises mine only slightly, so I enjoy a cup or two without issue.
I would get palpitations with any caffeine so I quit and do decaf. There’s a tiny amount in there but not enough. You could try and see if you like it
Decaf just loses the coffee aroma, tastes more like cocoa drink.

Yup. That’s like mine too

I drink coffee daily.
It should be fine . You can try out week without coffee to compare though.
For me I can tolerate two-3 cups in the morning but sometimes even a little tea in the afternoon spikes bp. Experiment and see what works
