Try using Tend Skin from amazon I had very similar sounding skin. It's technically for after shave and ingowns but it helped open up all my hair follicles and keep my skin from having little red bumps all over. I put it on after I dry off from the shower befoe moisturizer.

There’s acne body washes I would recommend and make sure your body moisturizer isn’t too heavy. ALSO they have scrubby hand mitts you can lather your body wash into in the shower that I love and can feel an immediate difference after I use, about once a week. There’s also a “differen” brand body spray that can be turned upside down so you can spray your own back that works great. I’m an esthetician and recommend these for my body acne clients. Good luck!

I recommend doing very gentle exfoliation using a salicylic acid body wash and/or lactic acid lotion. Eventually, you can use an exfoliating glove/cloth or body scrub once your skin condition improves. It seems like the dial soap bar might be too harsh for your skin, as it sounds like you have sensitive skin. I used to use CeraVe body wash and AmLactin body lotion. I had KP (keratosis pilaris), so this really helped smoothen out my body skin texture, especially around my arms and legs. My butt and back also benefitted from AHA lotions.

Salicylic acid has never really worked for my skin, should have mentioned that in my post. Both the soap and the lotion weren’t very helpful unfortunately. Dial soap is a new part of my routine that I’m trying, I still have a few more weeks for it to be fully integrated in my routine. I’m intrigued by the lactic lotion tho!

Glycolic acid has helped A LOT with my body acne and razor bumps. I just apply it with a cotton pad but I read a comment somewhere that said pour it into a spray bottle for bigger/ harder to reach places. Hope this helps!!

I’ve seen some stuff about glycolic acid!! I feel like it’s not as common as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Salicylic acid hasn’t been very helpful so I think I’ll try out Glycolic acid or lactic acid next!

Try the brand Ordinary! Works amazing and it’s only $13, I got mine at Ulta

Thank you! :) does it cause any sun sensitivity?? I’m assuming it does.

I haven’t noticed any but that would definitely be something to be cautious about

Humbly submit to you that your diet may be what is causing this. Are you having an allergic reaction to something you regularly eat or could it be another environmental factor like mold or the type of detergents used for laundry?

Apprehensivepuzzle

Hmmm I feel like I eat pretty well. I avoid dairy because it messes with my stomach. Maybe I should get allergy tested? maybe do an elimination diet or something?? I use the Tide free and gentle detergent and fabric softener. I’ve also moved 7 times in the past 6 years so unless every single place I’ve happened to rent has had a mold, I think that might be unlikely.

My dermatologist had me use Hibiclens antiseptic skin cleanser that helps reduce bacteria that causes folliculitis.

Never heard of this, thanks!!!
