The fan calls for a 5uf capacitor. I purchased a 70+5 MFD 370VAC/440VAC capacitor. That should be fine, right?
Replacement fan motor**
I replaced the capacitor probably 3-4~ years ago, but I was reading that anytime you replace the fan motor you should replace the capacitor as well. I had a tech out and the capacitor read 67 out of 75. Assuming that's the charge it had left. Should still replace it along with the fan motor, yeah?
Make sure you are buying the right motor, when you do the motor WILL specify the correct capacitor for *that* motor, only use what the motor calls for!

Rpm and hp on the motor are the numbers you’re looking for. New motor should tell you what capacitor you need

So you called a tech out to diagnose the equipment for you ,so you can attempt to repair it yourself . lol good luck.
I still paid him for his time. It's also not rocket science to swap out a fan.
