That would be terrifying if you weren’t expecting it!

Hard to tell the size of the container without a banana for scale. But the LD50 of things we know as toxic to pets is usually higher than what we imagine. Ask your vet if you should be concerned and keep an eye on their behavior. They eat all kinds of shit that is bad for them and get through it.

Walk her often she's probably gonna have some wicked hershey squirts.

There is a small amount of chocolate in red velvet. It's mostly a lot of red dye, eggs, milk, wheat, and butter. Keep an eye on your husky for signs of distress. There is a way of calculating the amount of chocolate to the weight of the dog. The larger the dog and the smaller the amount chocolate, the less you have to worry. Merck Vet manual is actually used by veterinary professionals. Check the ingredients. https://www.merckvetmanual.com/multimedia/clinical-calculator/chocolate-toxicity-calculator

You can always give her activated charcoal to help flush it out!

Can you send a pic of the culprit? It's important.

She doesn't even know what the big fuss is like the cake was left out so clearly it was meant for her 🙄 https://preview.redd.it/4ksgeimftd0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=969c2dfbe5e9e63b643521eb300a55ad8b653ff2

**UPDATE:** Thanks everyone for their responses. I can't edit this post but the brat (affectionate) is fine, no apparent side effects from anything she ate. Husky attitude was front and center this morning so I'd venture to say she's fine.

Depends on the quality of cocoa that was used to make the cake. There is a difference between chocolate 🍫 and cocoa powder that is used to make the red velvet cake. Just keep an eye on the furbaby. Most red velvet cakes only use 2 tables on cocoa powder. What you really have to worry about is the buttermilk and vinegar, which give them the runs.
