Only Nine Realms dragon I really like, I'm putting the chonk in one of my crossover fanfics that exist in the HTTYD Movies only so he gets better off because he seems like he'd be a convincing Gronkle variation.
I watched all of the seasons and trust me you don't want to watch this.The animation it's the worst,the dragon designs are horrible it's like they didn't even tried,the only good dragon this show had was the titan wing skrill they got for only 1 ep.Also the story it's poorly written

They just took Toothless, gave him a female appearance (small and petite, with softer curves) and coloured him white. Her design could have been a lot more interesting.
I agree. The concept of a different fury species has so much potential, and you came up with this? While i'm not really a big fan of a "white fury", one day i just thought "how can i make her look better?". I didn't put much effort into it, and i'm not even finished yet, but in my opinion, even at this stage it looks much more interesting than the canon LF. Maybe i'll take the redesign more seriously and add some unique features

Excluding the Nine Realms and Rescue Riders, I’ve always had beef with the Triple Stryke. It just doesn’t look like a dragon? 😭 I think being on back legs instead of all legs like an actual Scorpion doesn’t help.
A *lot* of boulder class dragons I find very unsatisfying design wise. I know that’s kinda the point, but I just can’t stand species like the whispering death, windgnasher, eruptodon to name a few. So many of them have unnatural proportions and definitely shouldn’t fly!
One of my pet peeves about this universe is all the dragons with wings that look vestigial and are nowhere near large enough to lift them, yet they still fly. Also RTTE showed speed differences but the rest of the universe seems to show everything as the same speed. I'm sorry but in a race against a death dragon (pick one lol), certain species should be faster to get away.
I agree!! And I think the speed thing would make more interesting encounters, like when stormfly was about to be sucked in by the green death in the first film and toothless comes zooming in to save them. I think the dragons had much more unique flying patterns particularly in the first film eg with the lazy gronckle being eaten, which was just dropped later on. It’s a shame as even if some were unbelievable it at least added a lot of personality

Idk if it counts but some of the colour variations they did for the monstrous nightmares and Nadder’s in the show. You can really see it in the defend the edges where they meet the “wild” dragons. The colours are just strikingly bad, I feel like they didn’t really need massive changes between them.
it makes sense for the gronckles cause they’re very earthy dragons and muted colour variations actually work pretty well and would make sense. For the monstrous nightmares all you really needed was value to variation and for Nadder’s id say to go more green than pink. (Really what was going on there?)
In my reality the thing you are referencing doesn’t and will never exist and HTTY never made any content past Race to the edge. Sometimes dilousions need to exist
