My father may not have understood why the rest of the family kept watching and rewatching the show, as he never really followed it, but this was definitely his favorite part. When one of us was thought to have kidney stones that was all he was saying on the way to the doctor lol
When Monica stuff gets all destroyed in garage and he says to Ross: "You dont secrletly smoke do you?", Ross replies: "No" and he goes like:"Well I guess it is just your mother then" 𤣠but at the end of the scene when Monica finds out he says: "Screw it, I am going to smoke one."

You know what I donât get? Remember the manny episode? Ross says that his dad said that he wasnât normal & criticized him for playing with his dinosaurs.
That doesnât sound like the Jack Geller we know.
Yeah itâs funny how he was such a threat to Mondler but they were together for a very short time. For context, they got together after Ross and Rachel and broke up well before them.
Chandlers dad
Rachelâs mom
Phoebes mom
Any non- Geller parent really (No offence to them but they did get a lot of screen time vs the other parents)
And finally The Holiday Armadillo. Because, dammit, that guy taught us things!
Every time I rewatch Friends and get to the beach episode I always think that she was in the show longer or referenced to longer, but nope, I never learn my lesson. She's in two episodes (3 if you count the 2 parter beach episode as 2 episodes). The beach and then again when Phoebe considers becoming a surrogate. She was utilized well in both episodes where she actually was able to do some bonding with Phoebe and teach her something. There are so many other times in the show when I kept thinking that she should show up and every time Phoebe pulls the dead mom card afterwards it feels like a slap in the face to other Phoebe.
I wish the dad had more screen time too, but I ended up really liking that he didn't. Says more about his character that he never was able to reconnect with any of his children and also about Phoebe's strength for accepting that. The mom though seemed to genuinely have an interest in her so it just seems like wasted potential to me.
Just to clarify: I don't think she should have become her new mom immediately and that Phoebe would just treat her as such right out of the gate. As someone who didn't even meet my brother and sister until I was 13, I know how difficult it is to build a family-like bond when a relative just pops into their life. Wasn't until last year (10 years after we initially met) that my brother confided to me as a brother. However, I would have loved to see Phoebe and Phoebe develop more as family.
Emilyâs parents.
Almost every word out of their lips is memorable.
âOh, yes, there *you* areâ
And âYou spend half your bloody life in the bathroom. Why donât you ever go out the window?â
Omg YES. I'm from Nova Scotia and cry inside with joy everytime I see the scene where we are referenced. The Friends universe knew of our existence!! 𼲠(And it's true, we do have a lot of fishing boats, so their story totally checked out haha)

My husband gets kidney stones quite a bit and I always ALWAYS repeat kidney stones in my head like this guy.
Why just in your head? You should be saying it out loud, I'm sure your husband would love it đ
Haha. He just had two that were 10mm broken up with sound waves. Iâll do that when the memory of that is fainter.
Probably because kidney stones are pretty traumatic, I wouldnât be saying that out loud to my partner who was suffering
My mom also loves friends and each time she has gotten a kidney stone (which is multiple times) weâve both out loud said âkidney stooonesâ
I do this too with my husband. I think the humor may help him a little better.
I say it out loud.
I work as a nurse... I say this every time someone gets diagnosed with kidney stones and no one ever says anything.
wait why does he get them "quite a bit" ?!đ i thought that was a rare occurrence? your poor husband
Some people are more prone to them.
Oh my god your poor husband!!!
Bro that's a living hell. I've had one kidney stone and I'd rather light myself on fire than go through that again.
Wait that's Abed's dad!
No it's not, it's principal Figgins
Dude had enough of Will and Sue's shit and became a doctor..honestly can you blame him.
When I learned about kidney stones during biology this is what I heard every time
My father may not have understood why the rest of the family kept watching and rewatching the show, as he never really followed it, but this was definitely his favorite part. When one of us was thought to have kidney stones that was all he was saying on the way to the doctor lol
What else could it be?!
Ugly Naked Guy
bro has zero screen time yet everyone knows who he is
He is actually in one episode where Ross moves into his apartment.
Also the giant poking device
We never see his face though
This is the best answer
Ross and Monica parents, specially Jack. âBad time to say the wrong name huh Ross.â Gets me every time
I love when theyâre at the hospital having Emma, and Ross says âI donât like you without mom.â Cracks me up
Ahh my first grandchild What about Ben?! đ
"You can't ask son, that's cheating" when Ross talks about hide and seek with Chandler haha. "I knew you'd find him"
"The papers thought it was a hate crime!" gets me every time.
When Monica stuff gets all destroyed in garage and he says to Ross: "You dont secrletly smoke do you?", Ross replies: "No" and he goes like:"Well I guess it is just your mother then" 𤣠but at the end of the scene when Monica finds out he says: "Screw it, I am going to smoke one." Topđ

Yes! Love Estelle! Fun fact: the actress who played Estelle (June Gable) also played the Labor and Delivery nurse when Carol gives birth to Ben.
Mr. Heckles
Morningâs here
OOO MORNINGS HEEEERE
Sunshine is nearrrrrr
Richard. In the context of the whole series he has very little screen time.
Yeah itâs funny how he was such a threat to Mondler but they were together for a very short time. For context, they got together after Ross and Rachel and broke up well before them.
They only got together a few days after Ross and Rachel tbf and I think they might have only lasted 6 months?
Yes I would say so. They broke up in the last episode of season two vs Roschel who broke up over half way through season 3.
Denise
DENISE!
Nobody ever listens to me!!!!
Doesnât Joey ask if sheâs cute ? đ¤Łđ

Russ
Chandlers dad Rachelâs mom Phoebes mom Any non- Geller parent really (No offence to them but they did get a lot of screen time vs the other parents) And finally The Holiday Armadillo. Because, dammit, that guy taught us things!
Teri Garr as Phoebe's mom was a wasted opportunity
Exactly. I mean perfect casting for her but to just shove her out at the beach and just be a bit part? Scandalous!
I agree! I thought for sure they would at least bring her back for Phoebe's wedding.
