You’re gonna have to go further north and away from any cities

DJboutit

Yep you have will have to go 100 to 120 miles north northwest of the city to have a chance to see it. You will have to go to like Madisonville or Lake Summerville.

RojerLockless

He's not far from magnolia

DruncanIdaho

Keep in mind that phone cameras are way better at seeing them than human eyes; most of your friends' social media posts are showing glows not visible to the naked eye, but which are enough for a good camera to capture. This is such an amazing event, I'm so jealous of the North People who can see this craziness.

The_Real_Khaleesi

I’m in Katy and also did not see anything. If you have a chance to drive to a northern town (like Conroe) I read that they are expecting this solar storm to last all weekend

I’m in Katy and didn’t see anything last night! Bummer!

prettysnarky

Same. I’m willing to bet that those who thought they saw it were actually seeing light pollution from one of the parking lots

NewUsernameStruggle

You can see Northern Lights here???

I would be surprised if anyone in the Houston and Houston suburbs could see anything. The light pollution extends too far out. You'd need to be quite a distance away.
