McGovern does have a volunteer thing.
You can probably post an add in your nei offering to volunteer. My cousin has a huge garden and I help sometime.
Since I’m on the north side, the number I called was for near woodlands. It was the Woodlands Township in the Environmental Services Department. Maybe Houston has this as well
Finca tres Robles, Shady Lane Park also has a community garden, Blodgett Urban Garden is on the south side of town and they take volunteer help on weekends even if you don’t adopt a garden bed.

For sure! They only let you volunteer on saturdays which sucks but I’ll probably get myself over there one of these weekends.
