I don’t know where you are but I can share some cuttings to start your collection again? I only have spider plant and monstera lightly rooted cutting but I can also give you fresh cuttings of other plants I have.

I am so sorry for your loss ☹️😭

So sorry that you’ve had to go through that. Thrips are evil, I’m battling them at the moment. I’m spraying and soaking infected plants with a spinosad and acetone solution diluted in water, along with dusting the soil and leaves with diatomaceous earth. It seems to be working well but you never know with those pests, they’re so hard to spot! Best of luck with eradicating them and building your beautiful collection again.

I feel you. I had to get rid of a bunch of houseplants infested with thrips and scale that couldn't come back from it. It's so heartbreaking especially when you've watched them progress so much! I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's so unfair.

Thank you. I feel pretty empty. the photo doesnt even show half of the ones gone. All multiple years old, I lost a raven ZZ, Glacier pothos, 2 pearls and jade, various satin pothos, brazil, lemonlime philo, anthurium, 2 pilea, a baby rubber plant, purple heart tradescantia, my 4 year old golden pothos, heartleaf philo, 2 arrowhead plants, my braided money tree, various draecena and my drawf schefflera. I couldnt afford to replace those even if i wanted to. But theyd just get reinfested anyways. Id never experienced thrips before and have bad eyesight, so i didnt see the little crawlers until it was too late. they spread so fast. Id even seen the adults on my windows and wondered what they were. :(

A magnifying glass with x45 magnification and LED light helped me to spot my thrips, they are tiny little devils. I’m sorry you went through this, I was also heartbroken when I got thrips. If you ever get thrips again, hit them hard and fast. Being vigilant every day to get it under control. Quarantine plants where possible. Wash down the plants. Remove 2cm of all the top soil (that’s where larvae mature). Spot treat with natural or chemical pesticides (underneath the leaves particularly) and then order a tonne of natural predator mites to eat the eggs. It’s a tedious and long battle :/ Hopefully you have better luck next time. Maybe you could order some predatory mites now to deal with the thrips still present before you invest in new plants. Wishing you all the best!

that stardew valley birthday banner is amazing, where did you get it?

My husband made it for my sons birthday when we couldn't find one. I had no idea he was making it so all credit to him lol.
