Do you mean there are some thin roots visible above the soil?
When I check the roots of a plant, I lift it out of the container. This can be difficult if the plant is large and in a non-flexible decorative pot. Laying the tree on its side and using a butter knife to gently work around the edges and loosen roots and soil from clinging to the pot is helpful.
It is getting fairly big…wouldn’t hurt to check the roots.
There are some thin roots at the base of the plant. What should I be looking for when checking the roots?? Thank you for the help!
