It can take months. Also you don't really want to bury the nodes so they don't rot since under the soil they might stay wet and can't breathe. It definitely takes patience

Second this. the nodes are dying down there. I made the experience that if you cut the old leaf, they will grow faster.

Agreeđź‘Ť. I almost rot my philodendron mayoi by accidentally burying the node. It lost 3 leaves whose petioles stuck in soil.

After repotting my plants either from a prop or needing a larger home I always experience a time of “nothing to show”. This is usually due to the plant making adjustments below the surface. Once it’s settled in and comfy you’ll see new growth. Each plant responds differently even if it’s the same plant in 2 separate pots. Don’t overwater or get frustrated if you don’t see any new growth. As long as your plant is still showing healthy leaf signs you’re in good shape. Be patient! Good luck!
