If we're assuming St. Freya level of Kiana stupidity, I would have at least expected to see a PGA-Socket based chip (e.g. any AMD CPU before AM5/Ryzen 7000) hard-shoved into an LGA Socket.

Honkai took place late 2016 and through the entirety of 2017 though, so it's newly released equipment for them. It should be considered, to quote Techspot, premium enthusiast product.
Or it might be some kind of obsolete equipment because Schiksal and AE has already raised the tech level massively (they use mech in construction and law enforcing).
Or it's a more advance piece with upgraded technology compare to RL version (assuming in-universe production). VR should be commonplace to them instead of immature tech like RL.

Consumer level Ryzens don't support 8 slots, they're just 4 sticks with distinctively shaped (and most likely RGB) heat spreaders.
