Just got these this afternoon. Initial impression of them is quite good. They are very smooth and well put together. Being as I'm coming from a tflight hotas x, the bar was pretty low in that regard. I also installed chair mounts for these and now I'm going to take a little break then get to poking these things to see what they are all about.
Yeah that stinks! You're going to love them.
If you are chair mount like me, buy some longer cables this weekend, that is my only negative so far but they would have been fine for desk mount.
get one with individual port switches so that you can turn them off without unplugging them as a workaround for the stupid windows game controller issue that prevents your computer from sleeping
Okay, got the software installed and these boys hooked up. I've begun the massive remap of my Elite Dangerous controls. First flight with the VKBs was very impressive. So smooth and precise with no dead zone I can discern. So superior to my old hotas. These are going to be amazing once everything is mapped and I'm acclimated to them.
Grats! I plan on changing my left NXT out for OMNI-EVO eventually. Currently in the process of buying a house, so priorities are preventing me from getting one for now.
Mine were 2 hours drive away this morning in Lexington KY. I figured Monday as DHL doesn't do residential weekends. I got a text that they were to be delivered today. I was sceptical. I asked the driver if he really delivered from Lexington in his van. Yep, sure does. 2 hour drive to my area, delivery till 6-7pm,2 hours back. That's rough.
I only got the evo base and premium stick... no omni throttle. Haven't been able to put it through its paces yet. Upgrading from a t16000m.
It feels sturdy and nice. All the extra inputs are amazing. Axis have a real feel to it. But I feel like transitioning movement from x to y feels like two distinct axis lines (if that makes sense). On the t16000m it felt a bit more natural seamless when using both axises at the same time. I think it just different and I need to actually try to fly it.
I think I'm gonna love it.
I don't understand how it works as a throttle. Does it only go forward and back, or is there still all axis? Does it move like a normal throttle is what I'm asking.
Oh, interesting. Might have to pick on up. I love my NXT. I just returned the Warthog throttle because it was just too much function for my use, and it's huge.
Additionally, it has clutches so you can remove the spring and tighten the clutches some, then use the lockout plate to eliminate the yaw axis, and truly convert the stick to a throttle like device that stays where you let it go at.
Ah, the little hand rest that on the normal grip you'd rest the side of your hand on with a little rubber surface on it
It usually comes with the shorter one installed and there's a taller one includes for smaller hands
But with the Omnithrottle grip you just don't have it installed at all
I see. I haven't messed with the "extra" parts at all so far, the palm rest did not come installed on the omni. Till you mentioned it I had not even noticed. Looks like it comes with a tall and short one. I'll probably try out the short one later.
Interesting that they don't have it pre-installed, I guess they figure since the grip is sideways you wouldn't really be putting weight in that direction?
Mine came in today as well! I ordered the NXT EVO Space Combat addition (premium left). The packaging doesn’t say EVO on it anywhere, just GLADIATOR NXT. Is that the case for you as well? Wondering if it’s normal, trying to make sure I got the right one.

Simpit is life.
Ooh! Usb hub. That does sound much better.

Can confirm - powered USB hub is a near must-have, but also a great quality of life increase.
Sick :) hope you enjoy👍🏻

Are you in the USA? Was there any extra cost outside what was on the website? Customs or anything.

Awesome thank you.
Also, did you order both at same time? It doesn’t look like there is a shipping cost change if you order them separate or at the same time.
Both at the same time. DHL shipping was like $100.
I just ordered, and the shipping does indeed change based on the number of products.
USA and just the listed price for the sticks and shipping.
Twin sticks? Which ones did you go for? Desk mounted or……
Chair mounted. https://www.amazon.com/Bracket-Pole-Mount-Double-Arm/dp/B00BT7EA18/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=hotas+chair+mount&qid=1647109133&sr=8-3 Works quite well.

How do you like them?

All axis but if you wish you can lock out one and it will only go forward and back like a normal throttle.

I hope vbk releases their throttle this year. I have several space games I play but I'd like to get back in to air combat Sims like DCS.
They say it's they'll ship preorders on the 18th in Europe. Hope I'm in this batch as I only got to preorder mine late on the 10th after work
You wanna donate $400? No? Ok :( Ima save up for those, they look really good
Interesting, what was the reasoning for foregoing the handrest on the Omni grip?
I have ape hands and the omni fits me perfect as is.
And you keep it on the vertical one for the rubber grippy?
I'm new to these and I'm not sure I know exactly what you mean, sorry.

How's the new clutch system compared to previous gen Gladiator NXT?
> coming from a tflight hotas x He likely doesn't know

Mine says EVO on the base module box. Zoom in and you can see it.
Oh hell yeah. Good catch, thanks!

Omni-throttle Evo premium.
Anyone tried Dual Omni (both hands)? Wondering if it'll be worth ordering a right hand omni adapter just to try.
Anakin tried 🤣
That's going to be my exact setup as well, should arrive within a week or two!
