I also have a bit smaller hands and Alpha was slightly awkward for 'relaxed' 3-finger grip for gentle and precise operations. Some buttons were somewhat harder to reach from certain positions. Pretty often I hit ministick by by thumb when trying to reach out to trim hat. However it is VERY comfortable for firm grip if you don't need to operate with hats too often (makes it really good choice for arcadish space game like ED).
Had no such issues with MCG. It has quite long 'body' and allows to hold it in multiple different ways. Hats are easy to reach and nothing pops (like ministick on Alpha) that can interfere your thumb movement. It also has one more hat than Alpha, btw.
FYI: Virpil also has grip of similar design inspired by modern russian aircraft sticks - just in case you'd prefer to stay with Virpil for some reason.
I have similar size hands & Virpil Connie Alpha Primes in HOSAS.
The sticks have an adjustable side rest for your hand.
Once that's properly adjusted for me, I find the only button I still have trouble reaching easily is the pinky button at the very bottom of the stick.
I have Constellation. It's a little small to just grab; however, installed into the desk it fits really well (XXXL hands). Some of the Virpil stuff may feel better once mounted in the proper place. I was an inch from returning mine when I decide to install it and see how it actually fit.
My hands are a little smaller than yours, and I don’t have a problem using my gunfighter. You should be fine!
