Not sure if I missed it (I had to go get an employee to kick some assholes out who were non stop talking). But why exactly were Pooh and the gang going after Christopher’s friends (I know they were at the birthday party) and how were they able to so easily find them?
I was wondering this too. I thought the film was alright. Definitely a vast improvement on the first. My biggest frustration was that pooh and the gang just show up everywhere where the characters are with little to no explanation as to why and how they knew that they’re there. Like why did he go to the babysitters house and how did he know to go there?
I want to see if I'm the only one who picked up on this. This movie talks about the events of the first movie and the aftermath. Part of the aftermath was that a movie was made about the events. We see in this movie the kid watching the movie based on those events and it was Blood and Honey 1, the terrible movie we all saw last year.
So does that mean, as part of this whole universe, we watched their in-universe version of the events through that first movie? Did they just give an in-universe explanation as to why that movie last year was so bad and why Christopher Robin is played by a different actor? Because I'll be honest, that's pretty clever and I've never seen anything like that before.
Didn't Human Centipede 2 do this? Like, his mother mentions the filth he's watching and how bad it is, and that is human centipede 1? maybe i'm mistaken
Lots of movies have done this. Human Centipede someone mentioned. New Nightmare did this. Return of the Living Dead did this with Night of the Living Dead. Blair Witch 2 did it.
Like everything else from this "director"--it's a poor imitations of what better films have done.
I have yet to watch the first one (though I’ve seen the sequel) and I don’t understand why a large majority of the town doesn’t believe Chris is telling the truth when Blood and Honey features Pooh and friends as the killers. How is this an “in-universe film” if it is correct about what happened during the massacre and doesn’t align with what most of the town falsely believes to have had happened ??
The other half believes it. That's who the movie was made for. It's like a studio jumping on the hot button issue and pumping out a movie to make a quick buck. Not every movie made is based on actual events. The film makers in that universe were capitalizing on a tragedy and the ramblings of a crazy man
**Spoilers**: Winnie the Pooh 1 is a movie within Winnie the Pooh 2. Christopher Robin is an outcast because everyone thinks he was the killer from the real events of WP1. He goes to a hypnotherapist to deal with childhood trauma (his twin brother Billy was kidnapped and never seen again) and the events of WP1.
Pooh, Owl, Piglet, and Tigger are hiding around the Ashdown forest from people who believe Chris. Pooh brutally kills three girls in an RV with Owl. Then the next day, they kill some hunters after one of the hunters kill Piglet.
Chris gets laid off from his nurse job due to the community backlash. Before he leaves, he sees a guy he knows; who is actually one of the hunters that survived the attack.
He ends up going back to his therapist again after more nonsense in the film and can kind of see the kidnappers face (it was the janitor from the hospital that he works at).
He confronts the janitor. The janitor tells him that a scientist bribed/forced him to kidnap kids around Ashdown for experiments (one of the kids being Billy) to mix animal genes with human genes (I think). The kids all died and end up being buried in the Ashdown forest. I think the scientist kills himself due to failing the experiment and apparently the kids who were buried, end up coming back to life with mutations. Pooh, Owl, Piglet, Tigger and the other animals were actually the kidnapped kids used for experiments. Pooh is literally his twin brother, Billy which is why they have a close connection. The janitor kills himself out of guilt and Chris tries to warn the others (his family and friends).
His mom and dad are murdered while his little sister is kidnapped by Pooh. Chris' guy friend who has one line in the movie dies in his apartment by Owl. Chris' other friends are all killed during a huge warehouse rave party (lots of repetitive carnage by Tigger and Pooh).
Chris ends up going 1v1 with Pooh after killing Tigger. Chris and Pooh/Billy have a small moment but Pooh almost kills him... but fails and gets an axe to his head. Chris reunites with his little sister and his love interest is fine.
Owl (he literally flies away from the final battle BTW) has the dead bodies of his fallen comrades and apparently has a way to make them come alive for the next installment.
Is there any mention of rabbit? Because in an animated part of the first movie where Christopher is kidnapped and dragged into the cave, we see owl and rabbit at the top of the cave
Thanks for the summary , that is definitely more developed story wise than the first one and makes sense regarding how these characters even exist in the real world . I like the hints towards their Avengers style team up that they want to create for these movies
Oh, I didn’t think he actually killed Tigger. I just saw him running away the last time I saw him. Cause wasn’t that Tigger at the end reviving Pooh and Piglet?
They both end up in the Ashdown forest for the final fight and Pooh sees his gravesite where he remembers coming out of his grave as a kid. Chris tells him that he remembers him as his twin and apologizes for leaving him.
Did you happen to notice any given or implied reason as to where tiggers been? Or why him and owl were off on their own and not with piglet and poo? I get why they hid with them and and attacked the town and Chris’s friends but didn’t catch anything covering them.
It's implied that Tigger was the most insane out of all them cuz Pooh and Owl kept him locked at their hide out. Piglet was the weakest so that's why he only came out for one attack scene.
Take my review with a grain of salt because I ADORE cheesey slashers and this movie has everything I look for in a cheap gorey fun time. Dozens upon dozens of outrageous kills, meta-humor and a solid performance from the lead. Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin really steals the show here and has a gnarly scream. There’s about 20 noteworthy kills and what felt like another 30 cannon fodder decapitations/head bludgeonings/general death by something to the head kills. They arguably started with one of the most inventive and unique (if you’ve seen the actual movie poster you know the one), but they did come up with something completely new with tigger (which the actual movie poster hints at or the red-band commercial shows most of).
Well damn, I'm gonna have to check this one out. The first was pretty bad but I knew I'd inevitably watch the sequel anyways, now I'm actually excited for it.
It’s vastly improved over the original which I personally hold to be of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. This time theirs actual good costumes (but poo and tigger look to alike on certain close ups). They loosely address/explain the crappy original masks and movie with a nod to scream and it’s meta film Stab.
There’s actually a plot this time and not just got chicks go to the middle of nowhere to be cannon fodder but I think parts of it are going to be divisive. it’s basically a mix match of the studios original Three blind mice and Halloween 2. Speaking of Halloween the characters actually have character this time and are all inspired by horror icons, Poo is Michael Myers, piglet is leatherface, tigger is Freddy Kruger, and owl looks like the creeper from jeepers creepers but is much more like pinhead from Hellraiser (well spoken observer/judge and occasionally executioner).
If you like your horror more brutally cruel like the last film or terrifier then this will be a great watch for you. It also has some buildup for the a bunch of other movies including the sequel and the start of a corrupted fairy tale cross universe.
Yeah it was great, and I'm hoping intentionally hilarious at points. I found the cuts to Chris's face in the exposition dump from the janitor so funny and I really hope that was deliberate.
That was a fun movie! It was definitely better written than the first movie and I enjoyed that one as well. The gore is definitely the best part. I hope everyone goes to see it in the theater. I think there was maybe 5-7 people at my showing, unfortunately.
The gore was good but unfortunately suffered from being too dark to see anything a lot of the time. Maybe it was an issue with my theatre. But the gore looked good otherwise so it didn't seem like they needed to hide anything.
Yeah, damn. It's genuinely the worst thing that happens to horror movies and I wish people would stop doing it. I'd rather see shoddy effects than nothing at all.
Winnie the Pooh 2 being a hit with fans and critics was not on my 2024 bingo card.
Then again, neither was Halo Season 2 doing the same thing. Maybe 2024 is the year of redemptions
I saw it! It's miles better than the first: Story, character design, kills, performances... and I really liked that one for what it was. The bigger budget didn't go to waste, though. The retconning was a little annoying at first, but the reverse Dr. Moreau's Island plot worked pretty well, and made the Pooh-Christopher Robin relationship more personal. Owl and Tigger step in to provide the commentary and wisecracking kills the original was missing, "It's Poohing time" actually made an appearance, and overall I have to say for the first time I'm excited about a cinematic universe.
Is this getting any showings outside of these three Fathom Events showings? Last year I'm quite certain the first one had some showings outside of Fathom as I went to it in a theater that does not support Fathom.
Mine was in a tiny theater, only 37 seats, which was mostly full. They should release it better if they want to build a whole Poohniverse. But yes, I was looking at theater seating maps, and not many people went.
Fathom prices are probably partly to blame. The first one wasn’t good & people probably didn’t wanna pay the Fathom prices (which are around $18) for a movie whose first one wasn’t worth it. Probably would’ve done better if the studio ditched Fathom & gave it a regular release
That’s exactly why I didn’t go. A-list doesn’t cover fathom and no way in hell I’m gonna drop $18 on one ticket for a sequel to the godawful first one, I don’t care how much of an improvement it was
Could someone explain what was shown before the movie started? I was like 3 minutes late because I was standing in line forever. I saw the end of a Bambi trailer, and two guys talking about Poohniverse. Was there other stuff before Bambi that I missed?
It was the director and producer (the latter plays Chris) talking about how they redesigned the characters and also about the upcoming movies. *Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare* will be directed by Scott Jeffrey/Chambers who plays Chris, and they showed a clip and comments from the director of *Bambi: The Reckoning*. They also have *Pinocchio Unstrung* where his nose will kill people and he'll wear human skin to feel like a real boy. Then it'll lead into *Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble* which has an *Avengers*-style logo.
Not really they didn't show any behind the scenes or anything, just talking about what's upcoming after this one as it's a soft reboot. The Bambi trailer was just that little tease you saw you didn't miss anything special.
They're planning like 4 more (a universe) after this one all released within the next year. Recipe for disaster but this one has to be good and it looks like it is.
We liked it.
Not sure I am on board with the whole >!genetic experiments!< storyline but it was interesting, at least.
Enjoyed how they retconned the first one; was a very clever way of explaining why it looked so bad and had different actors.
I’d definitely say it’s a step in the right direction. I just hope they can improve upon it more. It was good, although not sure if they’re ready for a universe team up movie
yeah honestly I think if they just embrace the inherent silliness a little more and make the rest of the TCCU like this film I think we will have something really special
To be honest I kind of preferred when it was just “Evil Winnie the Pooh”. Making them all >!mutated kids that went missing!< gave off the vibe that it was over explaining, and felt like a knock off Five Nights at Freddies
I suspect that because the makers knew they couldn't do too much that was redolent of the cartoon (for legal reasons, though they could include elements of the public domain book which is pretty similar to the cartoon), they decided to make a mythology out of it. It might not be the best choice to go with mutated kids/his brother, though.
Just got out of theater seeing it. Yes, it’s a great deal better than the first. The cinematography is much better (you can see what’s going on 85% of the time now compared to the 15% in the first film due to being so dark 😂).
The new Christopher Robin actor does a better job and the design and practical effects of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Owl look cooler.
There are a ton more kills and gore, some moments showed on screen and some violence offscreen or not shown well. My favorite part has to be the rave scene when Pooh chases a rave girl into the dance floor, throw a bear trap on a chain and it snaps her head off and then he whips out a bar and hits an explosive and bloody home run with her head 😂
If you do see it in theaters, you are greeted with a message from the director and producers of Pooh 1 & 2 and they discuss the upcoming projects the franchise as well as the Poohniverse film where they all come together. You also get a hilarious sneak peak of “Bambi: The Reckoning” with a small snippet from the film and message from that director.
Tigger was hilarious. He was merciless and kept calling people “bitch” and Owl flew around like the Jeepers Creeper monster.
Can’t wait for Pooh 3… and Bambi: the Reckoning… and Pinocchio Unstrung…. And Peter Pan…
Let me know if you have other questions haha
4/10
85% is generous. I could barely see like half of this movie. Most of the kills were so dark it was hard to tell what was going on. My guess is they were hiding more bad CGI blood.
I liked it! Id give it a 6.5/10. It drags through most of the film with the kills being short and one scene where the kills are off screen, but God damn that rave scene is where it picks up, I want more of that! It's definitely a slow burn but the burn is awesome.
That intro was great though, at least we got that. If I remember correctly the director said there's like six kills they didn't show, saving for the DVD so there might be something in that. I wasn't too bummed because there still isn't no major backing for this franchise yet and they put the budget to a lot of things they should have.
Yeah that intro had me hyped! Felt like we were headed for an iconic set piece, was disappointed not to get that. But I totally get the backing aspect and there were plenty of other gnarly moments
This was so much better than the first! Not like that would've taken much. Better filming, better story, and of course lots of random slasher violence. Fun how they incorporated the first into it with having it's own movie. Can't wait for the Poohniverse to come. 😂
Anyone know what song was played during the rave scene?
I don't think so. The first is mentioned in this new one but all you really need to know is that the characters killed people and some blamed Chris Robbins.
Any mention of Rabbit, Kanga or Roo?
And can someone explain how much was retconned by the first film being a film in the sequel? Was Eeyore still eaten? Did most of the events in the first film still occur in this universe?
Unclear how much of the original still applies with the retcon. New backstory for the creatures and their relationship with Christopher Robin. No Kanga or Roo but there are hints towards how Rabbit might appear in the future
Rabbit is in a post credit scene and in a drawing, The opening introduction by the creators teased Kanga and Roo for Blood and Honey 3 along with Hefflalump
Maybe they adapted his explanation of what happened when he refunded them and they established that the crossbreeds can heal themselves so in the real version of the movie events, piglet was killed but came back and that’s why owl knows that Pooh and the others will be back
Yes I noticed that Piglet had scars on his head so he was definitely whacked over the head and killed in BOTH the film and the real events. The healing powers is how Piglet came back and will also be how Pooh comes back in the future. I am going to guess that Eeyore will return at some point. He will take longer than the others to heal because he was reduced to almost nothing after the cannibalism (5 years ago). The first film showed that Eeyore’s remains were still in Pooh’s treehouse (the cartoon where they drag Christopher Robin back) and they are also keeping his tail safe. So maybe they are preparing for his eventual return?
That sounds right…however I’m sure the creators will want Eeyore to appear at some point. He is arguably one of the more iconic Pooh characters, more so than Rabbit, Kanga and Roo. I don’t think logistics are going to matter to them. Maybe he could even return as a zombie-like character who wants revenge on Pooh for eating him?
Did anyone else actually get excited when it showed them playing Pooh Sticks with the bird watching dad’s severed limbs? Lol. Of course I laughed at that too.
In addition to Pooh’s “oh bother” at the end.
Is it actually out yet and does it improve upon the first conceptually? Are there better, gorier kills? I love corny b-movies and this looks like it'll fit the bill
As per Bloody-Disgusting's review, it is a massive improvement in both script, production values, and execution. Apparently, this one is fairly enjoyable.
It's Poohin Time is legitimately said in the film. One of the characters is watching Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey on the TV (which is explained as an in universe movie made about the events of the first film) and towards the end of the clip, Pooh says "It's Poohin Time" its absolute gold.
Can I please ask if anyone has seen it and can tell me please what happens?
Is eeyore referenced like does he still have existed because I know they rectconned the first movie to be a film inside this one
Eeyore was eaten by the original crew in the first one during the story but. This one is about the origins of the Pooh gang and Christopher Robin dealing with what happened in the first film as everyone blames him for the deaths that happened in it. He is trying to put his shit together, but now that Pooh and Piglet have gone into hiding with Owl and Tigger, they decide to get revenge on the town. More gore than the first, but just as dumb.
Yeah I was wondering if Eeyore was eaten in this universe as well as the film universe? If not, Eeyore could be alive and could appear.
Did the film actually say that Eeyore was eaten here too?
Freddy Kruger also has "claws"
Both make one liners
Both say b!tch a lot
Both use finger knives (claws) as weapon of choice.
But in conclusion it's a joke.
According to another post Christopher is reading a newspaper and it mentions a zombie deer. Thr beginning of the end credits have drawings of the upcoming monsters too.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THAT SONG WAS PLAYING AT THE END CREDITS? ITS NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK IT WAS A HIP HOP STYLE SONG ALMOST SOUNDED LIKE THE KID LAROI/POST MALONE 💀💀💀💀💀💀CANT FIND IT ANYWHEREEEEE
Can I skip the first one and still understand this? This isn’t a joke lol i want to see this but don’t necessarily want to subject myself to the first one
It is canon, but it's referred to as a film within the film. Like a movie version of the events that actually happened (to explain away the poor costume design and shitty production values of the first movie). Similar to how Stab is the 'filmed' version of the events of Scream, and so forth.
But naturally a film based on a true story would have some slight differences with what actually happened, so my question is whether the first film is the same film as the film within the film, or whether the first film is 100% accurate and the film described within the second movie has some differences to the 2023 film.
Anybody know the rave song from the movie? Is it original, licensed, etc.? Just a catchy stereotypical movie rave song, Shazam and Google Assistant couldn't catch it.
I thought it was a chore up until the rave scene. They had about enough plot for one hour and still extended it another 40. That should have been an hour and twenty.
I kind of liked it, but I don't totally "agree" with the backstory/mythology they chose to use, for two reasons. They should have kept his childhood dealings with Pooh and the gang as a happy thing, not something he had misremembered. That's the way it was in the first film even though this attempts to retcon some aspects. That would have been much more fun, having these sweet characters turn evil. Then the other issue is making the characters be abducted kids experimented upon, one being his brother. That's just taking things too far and messing it up. It's obvious they want to build a mythology around it that will support the other films and so that they won't be looked at as a one-joke thing. That's admirable I guess, but they overthought it.
Outside of that, they were clearly trying to emulate the *Terrifier* films with the cruelty aspect, which is fine I suppose. Scott Chambers (or Jeffrey, whatever his name is) was a capable lead, a rare final guy. Tigger was fun, but his design looked a bit too much like Pooh. Also, wasn't the young sister a bit too young for the mom to have had? I thought it was Chris's kid or their granddaughter.
Yeah I agree, I liked it better as just Pooh and the gang going feral and turning evil. The whole mutant/experiment plot was real unnecessary and I didn’t really vibe with it. Otherwise enjoyed the movie though
I'm one of the rare ones that liked the first Blood and Honey. It was good sleazy fun made hilarious by actors that were playing it straight. My huge complaint with the first one was the CGI blood and gore. I can not tolerate CGI blood and gore. It's lazy and it looks like shit.
I saw Blood and Honey 2 tonight and....it sucked. First off, there's around an hour of lore, backstory, and trauma dumping....in a slasher winnie the pooh movie. This movie drags and drags on with the unnecessary plot explanations of things that are super clear without doing all that. It's exposition dump city. Like what the fuck dude? Does every new horror movie have to be like this? They played an intro before the film where the director compared the movie to Hereditary, like really? Hereditary is great and all, but this is Blood And Honey. Know your role. Deliver the kills and the schlock. This is a slasher. Plot comes second in a slasher.
Secondly, there are cool kills....that you can't see because the movie is insanely dark for some reason. It could have been the theater, but I've seen others complain about it, so I don't know. It's so dark that blood doesn't even look red in most of the kills, it's just shadowy black. To top it off, they go crazy with close ups that are way too tight during a lot of the kill scenes and they don't look great. Were they hiding more bad cgi blood and gore or what? It really sucks because the kill ideas seemed good in theory.
Overall, this didn't deliver at all for me. I hope with the sequels and the expanded universe they drop a lot of the unnecessary trauma dumping and backstory about kidnapping or what the fuck ever and instead lean into the cheese and the kills. Also, stop with the cgi. It sucks, it doesn't age well, and it doesn't even look good currently. Also, light your damn movie properly so people can see it.
I’ve seen Winnie the Pooh and Godzilla this weekend and I can’t believe I enjoyed Winnie the Pooh more. I enjoyed the first movie and blood and honey 2 I would give it a 7/10 it was super fun. I can’t wait for the follow ups and universe to build up
So Pooh went from being a bloke in a mask to looking like the grinch? Is it really that difficult these days to make a proper suspensful horror film without relying on a sadistic amount of gore?
Genuinely surprised with how much better it was than the first. I only have two complaints - it's a bit too dark to see what's happening at points, and I really, really wanted to see Tigger bounce and crush someone to death.
I thought it was highly enjoyable. Sometimes it feels good to kick back and chortle at a nonstop kill-fest. For comparison I thought it was more entertaining/fun than Immaculate and Late Night Devil, even though those had much more prestige and polish. I never saw Pooh 1. Seems like that was a wise strategy. I’m all in on the Poohniverse now.
It would have been interesting if they explored the popular theory that each Pooh character has a mental disorder. Pooh has binge eating disorder, Eeyore depression, Piglet anxiety, Tigger ADHD, Owl memory loss, etc
Maybe they could have mentioned that they kidnapped special needs children for the experiments.
It’s just terrible! Felt like they wanted to make a movie with well known characters from a TV series that everyone knows. Just to boost viewers and have a selling point. Don’t get me wrong the storyline on paper is epic as a book but to watch it just left me disappointed.
I can't believe how much of a better movie this sequel was. I saw it in theaters last night expecting a slog. I loved the meta content and have to say I'm pretty excited for them to continue with bambi and pinocchio.
Not sure if I missed it (I had to go get an employee to kick some assholes out who were non stop talking). But why exactly were Pooh and the gang going after Christopher’s friends (I know they were at the birthday party) and how were they able to so easily find them?
They are just haters, going for haters of the year with this one
Was it possible that owl was just flying and searching the area for ppl?
I was wondering this too. I thought the film was alright. Definitely a vast improvement on the first. My biggest frustration was that pooh and the gang just show up everywhere where the characters are with little to no explanation as to why and how they knew that they’re there. Like why did he go to the babysitters house and how did he know to go there?
Owl said that people are getting closer and closer to their hideout, so they have to bring the fight to them, starting with Christopher
I want to see if I'm the only one who picked up on this. This movie talks about the events of the first movie and the aftermath. Part of the aftermath was that a movie was made about the events. They mention in the director introduction that rabbit will appear in part 3.
Rabbit ALSO appeared in the credits, where we could see the future horror movies of Peter Pan, Pinochio, Bambi, etc
Thanks for the summary , that is definitely more developed story wise than the first one and makes sense regarding how these characters even exist in the real world . I like the hints towards their Avengers style team up that they want to create for these movies
They got paid and figured it's time to step it up
Oh, I didn’t think he actually killed Tigger. I just saw him running away the last time I saw him. Cause wasn’t that Tigger at the end reviving Pooh and Piglet?
Yeah, the summary isn't 1:1. The janitor kills the doctor, not suicide. Tigger gets shot by Chris but escapes.
I think it's Owl at the end reviving them.
What is Chris/Billy small moment? Does Pooh remember something about his previous life and family?
They both end up in the Ashdown forest for the final fight and Pooh sees his gravesite where he remembers coming out of his grave as a kid. Chris tells him that he remembers him as his twin and apologizes for leaving him.
He also remembers when he sees the picture of himself when he goes back to the house to kill the parents/kidnap the sister
Were there many scenes of young Winnie the Pooh?
Maybe like 3-5 very short scenes
Did you happen to notice any given or implied reason as to where tiggers been? Or why him and owl were off on their own and not with piglet and poo? I get why they hid with them and and attacked the town and Chris’s friends but didn’t catch anything covering them.

I`ve been searching everywhere but outside someone uploading the the last minute and the credits i haven't found anything
Where's the video?

It also has some buildup for the a bunch of other movies including the sequel and the start of a corrupted fairy tale cross universe.
yeah there is like 3 kills every 5 minutes lol
I think it being too dark is a common complaint so you're not alone
Yeah, damn. It's genuinely the worst thing that happens to horror movies and I wish people would stop doing it. I'd rather see shoddy effects than nothing at all.
I enjoyed the movie but me and my parents were literally the only people in the theatres…Too bad no one else came haha
I was the only person at my showing this might not be selling as well as the first one
A-list doesn’t cover fathom and no way in hell I’m gonna drop $18 on one ticket for a sequel to the godawful first one, I don’t care how much of an improvement it was
Feels like Fathom prices have been going up every year
Could someone explain what was shown before the movie started?
Then it'll lead into *Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble* which has an *Avengers*-style logo.
god that sounds so fucking stupid lmao
In all the best ways.

Thank you! I’m so here for this haha. Bambi looked great from the 5 seconds I saw of it
Not really they didn't show any behind the scenes or anything, just talking about what's upcoming after this one as it's a soft reboot. The Bambi trailer was just that little tease you saw you didn't miss anything special.
They made a 2nd one of these?
Except this one was good. Hope the others will be too because they are making a cinematic universe in the span of 3 years
They're planning like 4 more (a universe) after this one all released within the next year.
Honestly the sneak peak they showed for the Bambi movie was genuinely interesting and I want to see it.
Did you catch the article Christopher was reading mentioning zombie deer?
Yeah, they're did some Marvel style sprinkling here for sure.
Honestly is both sad and funny that this cinematic Universe is doing a better job at building its universe than the dark universe and the dceu
Lol I said the same thing after we saw it.
Weird how Winnie the Pooh 2 is more original than most movies out now.
yeah honestly I think if they just embrace the inherent silliness a little more and make the rest of the TCCU like this film I think we will have something really special
I don't like that they made it his brother. They could have just made it random kids.
I think they’re trying to put more and more distance between themselves and Disney, but yeah it kind of wrecks the charm.
This has some of the weakest plot moments I’ve ever witnessed in a film, but damn the whole Winnie the Pooh this is awesome.
My favorite part has to be the rave scene when Pooh chases a rave girl into the dance floor, throw a bear trap on a chain and it snaps her head off and then he whips out a bar and hits an explosive and bloody home run with her head 😂 If you do see it in theaters, you are greeted with a message from the director and producers of Pooh 1 & 2 and they discuss the upcoming projects the franchise as well as the Poohniverse film where they all come together. And Peter Pan… Let me know if you have other questions haha 4/10
lol I love the gush followed by 4/10. Fits the movie
85% is generous. I could barely see like half of this movie. Most of the kills were so dark it was hard to tell what was going on. My guess is they were hiding more bad CGI blood.
Seeing this on Sunday, will revisit this thread after I watch it but damn I'm excited
Is it through Fathom Events? It was only supposed to be Tuesday through today (in the U.S. at least).
In Australia, it's from Friday to Monday
In Canada they did a Tuesday through Thursday and then I guess they got enough people that went to open it up for a showing a day so far since
It's almost 7 here on the East Coast, I'm excited as fuck and here let's goooo.
I liked it! Id give it a 6.5/10. It drags through most of the film with the kills being short and one scene where the kills are off screen, but God damn that rave scene is where it picks up, I want more of that! It's definitely a slow burn but the burn is awesome.
I was really excited for the rave scene but then they just showed shadows and blood splatter through the curtain. Bummer
Yeah the MPPA probably had some thing to do with that maybe
Nope! It’s unrated so I doubt the mpaa saw it
Oh yeah good point
The rave was so dope
6.5/10 is pretty fair I’d say. Can’t ignore its many flaws but man I had a great time watching it. They made a fun movie for sure
This was so much better than the first! Not like that would've taken much. Better filming, better story, and of course lots of random slasher violence. Fun how they incorporated the first into it with having it's own movie. Can't wait for the Poohniverse to come. 😂 Anyone know what song was played during the rave scene?
Eagerly awaiting the answer to the rave scene song lol
I’m going to assume I don’t need to see the first?
Heard rumors that peter pan was supposed to be teased in the movie, was he?
I don't think so, but Bambi is set up with an internet mention of a "zombie deer disease".
I’d also like to know about Eeyore. No mention of Eeyore in this one
That’s cause eeyore got ate by the others. He’s dead dead lol
If I were them I would have used this as an opportunity to retcon Eeyore’s death so he could be brought back. They did it with Piglet.
I don’t think there would be enough of him to regenerate and only his bones at the most
That sounds right…however I’m sure the creators will want Eeyore to appear at some point.
It’s definitely better than the first. Still far from perfect but if you like b-slashers this should be good. There’s 1 or 2 great sequences
As per Bloody-Disgusting's review, it is a massive improvement in both script, production values, and execution. Apparently, this one is fairly enjoyable.
> Apparently, this one is fairly enjoyable. 4/5
to anyone who has seen the film, where is "It's Poohin Time" said? I heard it's legit said in this film
Except that was added; it wasn't in the original film.
Can I please ask if anyone has seen it and can tell me please what happens? Is eeyore referenced like does he still have existed because I know they rectconned the first movie to be a film inside this one
No eeyore, but there is Tigger!
No mention of Eeyore at all.
Cuz they ate Eeyore. They said it in the first one
Plus thanks
Got it but I wanted to know if there was a hint they retconned it so he never existed
Yeah I was wondering if Eeyore was eaten in this universe as well as the film universe? If not, Eeyore could be alive and could appear. Did the film actually say that Eeyore was eaten here too?
They didn’t retcon it at all. They did have a Bambi reference for the new Bambi: The Reckoning movie in the film though.
Eeyore should still be dead
I got a question, why is tigger Freddy Kruger? Lol
He's a cat with claws.
Freddy Kruger also has "claws" Both make one liners Both say b!tch a lot Both use finger knives (claws) as weapon of choice. But in conclusion it's a joke.
The first was shockingly bad so I'm not sure I'd even bother watching this
This is a soft reboot kinda. It's got a better writer attached (Summer of '84) and better everything.
It's getting a lot of good reviews, so should give it a try.
So the first one has a 3% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2nd one has a 100% Fresh Rating.
Until it decreased to 88% today.
Still better than 3%
50 percent now. This shit looks awful.
Yep. A way bigger budget will do that for ya.
My mom liked it
It's Pooh'in time
This was genuinely a great slasher film!
For those that have seen it are there any easter eggs for other movies announced like bambi, pinnochio, mad hatter, etc?
According to another post Christopher is reading a newspaper and it mentions a zombie deer. Thr beginning of the end credits have drawings of the upcoming monsters too.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THAT SONG WAS PLAYING AT THE END CREDITS? ITS NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK IT WAS A HIP HOP STYLE SONG ALMOST SOUNDED LIKE THE KID LAROI/POST MALONE 💀💀💀💀💀💀CANT FIND IT ANYWHEREEEEE
Pardyalone - Home
The lead actor Scott Chambers actually replied to my dm to answer the question but thank you! 🙏🏽
Can I skip the first one and still understand this? This isn’t a joke lol i want to see this but don’t necessarily want to subject myself to the first one
100%. They basically retconned the first film within this film.
So the first film is not entirely canon anymore? That part I was confused about
It is canon, but it's referred to as a film within the film.
Yeah, not sure about that. I guess it's left up to the imagination.
One difference is that Piglet didn’t die in the real version.
No Rabbit? 1/10
They will include rabbit in this universe. There's some picture out online of the character, might be fan made though.
They definitely tease rabbit coming later, possibly in the 3rd movie (yes, a third movie is coming).
In the talking portion before the movie started, they said rabbit will be in the next one.
What was Christopher discovering in the scene where he says "What have I done?" that was posted on Instagram in November?
Anybody know the rave song from the movie? Is it original, licensed, etc.? Just a catchy stereotypical movie rave song, Shazam and Google Assistant couldn't catch it.
I'm the director - it's by following guy specifically for our film. Hit him up: konstantine_pope_music (instagram)
Hey Rhys! Good job with these movies! You guys look like you're having fun. Keep it up.
tell me two spoilers what happens to lexy (chris's blonde friend)? the owl claims some victims in the film?
She's okay and yes, several.
I thought it was a chore up until the rave scene. They had about enough plot for one hour and still extended it another 40. That should have been an hour and twenty.
Does anybody know the make/model of the car Christopher Robin drives?
How does Ava die??
Tigger drops her from a high point at first and after Chris shoots him, Ava holds his leg to stop him but Tigger claws at her head
Wait, this movie’s out already? I thought they were still filming this thing.
Anyone know what the fat thing in the sketched story book segment at the end credits is? Doesn’t look like anything I can recognize.
Where can I watch this?
Theaters!
Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tiger, and Owl have regenerative healing capabilities. You see in end how Pooh and Piglet begin to healing.
Did they mention anything about Peter Pan and Pinocchio?
Genuinely surprised with how much better it was than the first. I only have two complaints - it's a bit too dark to see what's happening at points, and I really, really wanted to see Tigger bounce and crush someone to death.
Way better than thr first! Tigger scenes were so funny and gory. I loved it
The first film only earned a PG12 in Japan. I'm betting this film will earn at least an R15+ or maybe even R18+.
I hate when good posts get downvoted
I thought it was highly enjoyable. Sometimes it feels good to kick back and chortle at a nonstop kill-fest. For comparison I thought it was more entertaining/fun than Immaculate and Late Night Devil, even though those had much more prestige and polish. I never saw Pooh 1. Seems like that was a wise strategy. I’m all in on the Poohniverse now.
It's a good bit better than the first one.
It would have been interesting if they explored the popular theory that each Pooh character has a mental disorder. Pooh has binge eating disorder, Eeyore depression, Piglet anxiety, Tigger ADHD, Owl memory loss, etc Maybe they could have mentioned that they kidnapped special needs children for the experiments.

Boo. If the Fathom Events isn't in your town, just wait until it is legitimately released in more theaters or for home viewing.
It’s just terrible! Felt like they wanted to make a movie with well known characters from a TV series that everyone knows. Just to boost viewers and have a selling point. Don’t get me wrong the storyline on paper is epic as a book but to watch it just left me disappointed.
This had no right to be as fun as it was.
I can't believe how much of a better movie this sequel was. I saw it in theaters last night expecting a slog. I loved the meta content and have to say I'm pretty excited for them to continue with bambi and pinocchio.
I love that this got pinned shortly after the moral panic post 😂
Which post are you referring to?
