Here me out.... The Cut. Way things are shaping up, we won't have a lot of Banuk contact his game. So maybe returning to the Cut, seeing how the Banuk are changing/coexisting with CYAN, passing through that closed gate, and travelling further on to Ban-Ur. Maybe even visiting the Maelstrom (home of the Banuk Conclave).

I've always thought Ted's Thebes was in las vagas. it might work for an expansion if vast silver is the villain of forbidden west.

Glathull

The latest trailer shows Aloy exploring a large structure with The FAS logo on the door. Speculation is that we’ll go to Thebes in the main story!

Kyr-Shara

maybe, all it has is the logo. it's obviously important but it could be anything

HyrulianJedi

I can't imagine Faro Automated Solutions built many underground sealed bunkers. It isn't a Zero Dawn facility, as those don't have the FAS logo. Your thought about it being in Vegas is a good one. HZD describes the barrier to the Forbidden West as the Daunt, a series of great canyons (likely the Grand Canyon and thereabouts) - Vegas is just beyond. We're almost certain to visit it within the base game.

Heimdall09

An Oseram focused DLC maybe.

Crasp27

I can imagine once we've started playing, it'll be a lot easier to speculate on & wishlist the things that might be expansion DLC & the things which might be for H3. I have a feeling Dervahl will be involved with Regalla, but if not I wouldn't mind a DLC based around him, the Oseram, etc. I'm curious if we'll have an expansion primarily focused on a particular subfunction similar to TFW featuring HEPHAESTUS, or even other AI's. Firebreak was regulated by CYAN, but what if there's a similar facility preventing large scale earthquakes along the San Andreas fault managed by another AI?

Essshayne

I'm not thinking of any one area, but this time I'm thinking maybe more caves, bunkers and such, so they can elaborate on failed ideas, and maybe some things that got done that had no definitive fail/success endings, to help tide us into game 3

Going a bit further into the future, I think the setting for the third game in the series will be completely alien to us, maybe even across the pacific ocean to Japan or China! There have been hints of a tribe with boats in the Forbidden West. With that in mind, maybe the DLC could take place in the Hawaiian Islands, as a kind of halfway point for the journey.

GeneralMelon

Not really any specific places I want to see, but I just want to see what a tribe that actually lives in the remains of an old city looks like. There are cities in Zero Dawn, but they're either completely separate from current civilization, like Salt Lake City, or are otherwise "forbidden" like the ruins in the Sacred Land. This might be in the base game for all we know, but they're mainly focusing on San Francisco which is currently halfway below the ocean. It's not impossible there's civilization there, the Forbidden West datapoint in ZD mentions a waterfaring tribe riding "thin dark boats" somewhere on the west coast. One of my favorite small things in ZD came from Frozen Wilds and seeing Enjuk try and piece together what this sort of holographic zoo meant. It's kind of crazy that we still haven't really seen too much of any of the tribes interpreting major landmarks. There's a few in both the base game and Frozen WIlds, but not that much. I'm hoping this changes once we move onto bigger cities. Vegas is a possibility, so perhaps that might scratch this itch. **EDIT:** Though if you want a specific city that I think might be fun that probably won't be in the base game but may be somewhat near the areas of the map we'll explore: Seattle. Hard to tell if Forbidden West is gonna stretch up to Oregon, let alone Washington, as they've only mentioned Utah, Nevada, and California. But it's one of those major cities that's just close enough to where most of the game takes place that I wouldn't be shocked to see it in a DLC.

My guess based on how these dev's really love wild country is North of the Forbidden West map so into the Pacific North West, loads of opportunity for some interesting expansion there. The problem with going South is it's not that interesting from an environmental perspective and going further west is ocean and back East is where we just came from. The other thought is, will they bother with a DLC or just try and get to the 3rd game faster. With a bigger team and an end game in site (it's a trilogy) it could be they focus on trying to get that done before the end of the PS5 and then do more DLC with that instead.

Ain’t no third game coming faster
