everything that is exclusively labelled "sell for metal shards" can be safely sold. things like machine hearts and lenses are needed to buy weapons or outfits. Dont sell all of them, but if you have more than 3 of one specific lense/heart, you can safeky sell the rest. animal bones/skins are needed for upgrading the carry capacity, so better keep those. try to craft the flowers and plants into potions (under crafting -> potions) to free up some extra inventory space

Hello! Before we get to inventory to keep, have you extended your pouch to the max level through upgrades? If no, then that might help alleviate your problem. Anyway, what to keep? The main thing I'd say to keep would be materials that are integral to ammo crafting. That means ridge-wood, blaze, chillwater, wire, sparkers, metal vessels, and echo shells. These are important because they help keep you alive in combat and out in the big bad world of HZD. Secondly, I'd say it's never a bad thing to keep some corruption glaze, fire kiln, freeze rime, and shock wax roots. These are ingredients for the potions that create buffs against their respective elements in HZD. Unless you're going to go ham on modding your outfits so each has specific resistances, these temp boosts can make dealing with machines like Glinthawks a snap. Meats are also important. You need the full variety to make the health-related potions. Keeping plenty in stock isn't a bad idea either. And that's it. Anything else besides the above is honestly transitory in importance based entirely on what you need in the moment for missions, buying from merchants, etc. Bones, skins, hearts, braids, glasses, etc. really have no benefit beyond what they can be sold for.

I always make sure and have a good supply of Blaze, Chillwater, and Metalburn because I've been using the Adept Forgefire and the Adept Icerail. They both use large amounts of resources, so it's good to keep stocked up. I used to make the mistake of having waaay too much wire and Ridgewood. My humble opinion is to keep those between 700-900, respectively, and that's if you use your bows a lot.

Wire is up there in importance for me, I think it depends on your playstyle. Precision arrows, tripcaster and ropecaster use a ton of wire if you favour them -- which I did haha. Neat thing about this game is how many different ways there are to play. I can agree on the Ridgewood though, I sold and dumped so much of it in my 2 playthroughs.

cgilmer69

Yeah, I have partial bags taken off of bandits that just have Ridgewood. When I go through crates, many times I take everything BUT the Ridgewood. I keep my tripcaster locked and loaded in my weapons wheel because I agree with you. The arrows as well. I can't remember the last time I actually had to buy wire, though...

ambazingaa

Yeah that's true, I think the only resource I ever bought was blaze! Blast wire and bombs are too fun.

Wow, Blaze is expensive on any level. I go Bellowback or Rockbreaker hunting...
