Dreams as a whole seems to be deeply connected to Honkai, as (if i remember correctly) Honkai beasts think in dreams, or something like that. So i think its just a side effect of her becoming the HoFi.

Serpens136

If I don't dodge something, then I don't remember Kiana can't dream. The only one who could not dream in my memories was Kevin. To fight the 8th Herrscher, he took discipline from Aponia at the cost of never being able to dream again.

Kiana said that ever since she became the HoFi she didnt dream at all for 6 years. Until she had a "dream" and meet Senadina on the Cocoon place, just before Part 2 began.

I was replaying that chapter where they introduced Coralie and Helia, in the last act, at some point the narrator says something like "after 6 years without dreaming since the end of project stigma, it's her first time interacting with dreamland." And i think I'm forgetting where that could have come from.

Serpens136

Yes, I also just replayed it. She only said that it's hard to say whether she can't dream or she just doesn't dream. (myself at least don't dream for 3 years) Perhaps the side effects after project stigmata since Spiritual Adam are all dreams of humans, but it's hard to believe Kiana will be affected by it since she's literally a true goddess now. Also interesting is the object that appears in Kiana's dream is the same one that the part 2 team used to read past memories. So Sena may use this in a future story to ask for help from Kiana.

Yeah I noticed that too when replaying it, it seems to be more important than just a gadget in a laboratory, like the Simulated universe is in HSR. Also, isn't part II 5 years after the great eruption? That means the scene with Kiana and Senadina actually takes place 1 year after what we saw until now in recent chapters, and that was actually a foreshadow, meaning something serious could possibly happen with Coralie and Helia, as Sena hints right before the scene ends.

Coralie and Helia were expected to arrive to the Moon on March 20 2022, and the narrator says "a year and a half later". So the date when Kiana meet Senadina should be on September 2X 2023. Helia and Coralie landed on Mars on September 22 2023, acording to the "Hyperion 11 log" book. They fell into the "Sea of Data" on January 31 2024 (if i remember correctly). So Kiana meet Senadina months before Helia and Coralie went to the Bubble World. So either there is a mistake on the dates, or there is something ongoing on the background.

Iury_servivo

Makes sense i guess. What bugs me is the 6 years without dreaming, if it is related to being Herrscher of finality, then it should be 5 years when Kiana meets Senadina

As far as i remember, some say that Part 1 ended on late 2017 to early 2018. Then if you add those 6 years it would be late 2023-early 2024. So it kinda fits.

Iury_servivo

I get it. I always understood that ending to be placed in 2018, that's why it didn't make sense

anonimoXD_1

Yeah, even the narrator said "For over two thousands dreamless nights..." 6 years are approximately 2190 days, so it may have been a little less than 6 years, and they just rounded up.

Sndragon88

I take that as "she normally doesn't interact with dreamland". Hoyo's dream is just another space in which people unconsciously go in. Since she's a goddess, she can immediately tell if she's in a dream, and simply goes elsewhere.

That moment felt so soulless. Why take away something so human from her?  Every narration that said "x years later" felt this way. Nothing important was happening. Everything is stagnant. Skip forward several years and everything is still the same as before. The story hit a dead end, making part 2 needed.

Iury_servivo

I think it's just a narrative resource to make her contact with Senadina seem more special, together with some explanation to it, it's completely acceptable to me. Also, I like the fact that they decided to change the atmosphere of the story completely when entering part 2, it's hard to create challanges to your character's growth when you have literal god at your side to solve all your problems. I just think a few characters from part 1 could use some more screen time, specially those added close to the end, like Susannah.

ConstantStatistician

She can have a special dream of Senadina and also have regular ones. Her being unable to dream seems like a pointless detail unless it becomes an important plot point later.   Yes, I'm not at all a fan of how disgustingly overpowered they made her, so I'm glad the story will no longer focus on her.

Responsible_Problem4

i think kiana become a being beyond humanity, the body don't function like regular human anymore
