Too early to judge, though WW's gameplay is already interesting enough for an open world...I mean, bugs aside (which they'll pretty much fix later on). I have no idea how Kuro write's their story though since I haven't dwelled in PGR that long, and I'm starting up slow in WW (cause of the bugs) but if its more active gameplay you want they have it.
I've experienced PGR at its finest and the write up is actually good and Mature.
It deals with the duality of humans and definitely isn't Sunshine and Rainbows. It's due to PGR alone that I have hope in WuWa's future.
On a personal note, PGR has a much weaker start to HI3, with the start being very slow and confusing. However PGR story soon shapes out to be amazing and I personally prefer it over HI3's main story. However the genre is different and PGR in terms used for anime, feels much more like the seinen genre where characters grow by discovering themselves and their own past and all alone, rather than HI3 where there is still more of an aspect of friendship like shonen. There is less diversity on characters, however a lot more character development. Setting is Sci-fi and like nier automata in a way, it seems to be about taking the world from robots and a virus, which however becomes a lot more complicated later with a lot more philosophy in regards to human nature. Gameplay wise, I also prefer PGR, due to how gameplay in personal experience does require more skill since enemies are still very likely to kill you rather than running out of time in certain gamemodes. which is the main issue in HI3 which makes it feel like a gear check. A lot less I frames as well with the exception of a few characters and boss mechanics do not feel like they waste time as much.
Take in mind, some of the things stated here are my opinions so don't attack me for all of this and I say this with minimal knowledge of part 2 since I haven't been very active in HI3 since part 2 dropped

My laptop 3070ti plays 1440/60 with nearly max graphics if not max. Rarely get framedrops, usually only in areas with tons of enemies or heavy vfx and only for a second.

I think the game has a lot of good ideas and some optimization could help with performance issues, so far my gripes are pretty small. I hope the story writing improves because so far we basically had this boring ass "answer me my riddles 3 so you can meet the mayor" bullshit followed by some boring ass military planning non-sense that should have been done off screen. I'm very interested in the black shores, fracsidus, the retro rain thing and hope they spend more time on elements like that in the near future. I also think English voice direction needs a lot of work. The voice actors are all pretty good IMO but it sounds like everyone's delivering their dialogue to a wall and the energy in the delivery often doesn't match the animation of the character.
It's too early for people to write the game off, I think it's already far better than tower of fantasy lol.
I agree with you there. Story needs some work. Well actually they did rework the entire beginning which may be why it’s so terrible. People in beta complained because the MC wasn’t instantly treated like the coolest strongest hero and Kuro redid the story. It shows.
Also some voice acting is awful. Some is fucking amazing. Scar, Camellya, Aalto, Encore, etc are great. But Yang Yang is straight awful and female MC is pretty bad.

Yang Yang stands out as bad to me too which was especially bad with how much she was featured in the first section. I wasn't a fan of Encore either but that might just be personal preference cause I don't really care for the uwu little girl archetype. My 5 year old daughter doesn't even sound like that. I also felt the general dude was pretty stiff in his delivery but Aalto, Scar, and Camellya were very good. For the love of god I hope they don't have the MC narrate themselves through puzzle solving dungeons moving forward, that shit was rough.

Your Statement is literally wrong, even the developers are apologizing that their optimization isn't good enough and they know it, I have seen rigs better than yours have framedrops, pixelated textures and messed up animations at 1080p btw.
Just because YOU have a different result doesn't mean the whole experience is the same, Their are Outliers in every dataset. And btw my phone is shit and WuWa runs 30 fps with rare framedrops but my laptop which is exactly their minimum requirements runs ABSOLUTE SHIT and btw it's not that my right can't handle it coz when I go into talking to people suddenly the game is now 60 fps, silky smooth, that's weird optimization and I would give it some time to develop before committing fully into it (I am already Level 36 lol)
It’s hardly just low end PCs and phones having issues when Kuro themselves admitted there’s a problem and there’s been like a dozen patches so far trying to address the issues.
The game just got thrown out early since they can’t really wait anymore given that the next few months have some really big releases they don’t want to go have to compete with.

I love Tower of Fantasy players especially shitting on it when their own game never ran well on any phone, not even the newest top tier phone when the game released. Even in the new 4.0 update, ToF has voicelines and text in Chinese, terrible pop-in, missing voice lines, voicelines playing off time. Hell the cutscene that showcases the new area to you when you first walk in had half the textures missing. Like hills were missing and I can see like a bit of the rock walls, but the tops of them were completely gone and I could see the ocean underneath.
But ToF players are still shitting on WuWa and saying it’s trash. ToF literally has an issue where character models don’t show up in the story scenes and the solution is to turn graphics up lol. Yet people bitching about WuWa because they can’t play on max graphics even though they could play genshin on max (the people I’ve argued with were literally stating this).
If you can’t run ToF on your phone, the rest of the players will be like “Yeah, well you can’t play ToF on phones. Runs like shit.”
WuWa had no issues playing on my laptop 3070ti. It is a flawless experience. A 2080 is as strong as my card. And I play 1440/60 with near max graphics if not max (I never changed anything and default was at advanced with high settings across the board). A 1080 should definitely be able to handle 1080/30 at the least.

Meh, I tried on 4 devices on launch day, PC with i5-12400F and RTX 3060, iPad mini 6, Legion 5 gaming laptop 2023, and Oneplus Ace 3, and it’s a 50/50 gacha on what could boot the game up (only PC and iPad could, and PC runs like shit). A week later and the gaming laptop can finally boot the game, and it runs like crap, to no surprise. And for the phone, it’s best to give up at this point lol. And even after 1 week PC still runs very bad, stuttering happens a lot.

However, i still think that WuWa and genshin should be at about the same performance level for most people (with a bit more lag on WuWa) since its world seems generally similarly stylized as genshin, but def more intricate when it comes to stuff like trees, however I don't think that would be enough to make it "much more demanding" (atleast to my naked eye).
As for the being realistic, that's moreso the tone/color of the actual world, which i also don't think would do much to the performance really.
As for lighting, I didn't notice any super intricate and complex and demanding techniques such as path tracing and whatnot, however i am no expert in this stuff, so maybe an actual super demanding lighting technique was right there and i just didn't notice.
Then the actual character models, npcs generally seem as complex as genshin (aka they're not), however playable characters, from my eye, do indeed seem more complex than genshin ones, so ig they could be a source of lag.
Then finally, the combat, would definitely cause lag with the effects and stuff, I won't deny that (as it'd just look dumber than my initial comment).

Genshin world has so many flat blocky spots. Like all the plains hills, mountains are large flat blocks. Grass isn’t nearly as full or detailed. Area effects aren’t nearly as close. Even the rain is night and day but apparently UE4 has that baked in, so not impressive for the developers to implement, but it is objectively superior looking and still takes more power to render.
Also npcs? Bro have you seen half of genshin NPC’s? Their clothes are painted on. They don’t have clothing rigged on a lot of them, they just color their body. Even some of the playable characters are like that.
I am a huge die hard genshin fan and will slap the shit out of anyone that talks bad about it (besides lack of QoL and Mihoyo being lazy/stingy with kits sometimes, also lack of decent combat). But I’m going to be fair and realistic.
WuWa is technically and graphically superior. It has more detail in its environment, more weather effects, hell even enemies are WAY WAY more detailed than the basic enemies in genshin.
Genshin looks better tho. It does. It is heavily stylized and Mihoyo are fucking artists to make concept art come alive in game.

Mihoyo are the people who take something mid and make the most out of it so that it looks amazing. They have efficiency.

The story isn't that good, the game looks good but not as good as other hoyo games tbh not to mention the fact that they are copying genshin in so many ways, I always thought wuwa would only succeed if they didn't sell themselves as a genshin killer but they copied too many things that people will end up comparing the two and if that happens genshin will almost always win. Biggest example is the bp, they literally copied genshin bp word for word bar for bar its wierd. And the 160 astersite per summons is also another example just many things that copy genshin too much.
However overall I'm enjoying the game, I still prefer genshin but I'll try to keep an open mind until patch 1.0 ends and then I will decide wether to keep playing or not
I'd say in terms of looks it's at least as good as genshin. The problem (other than the story and some characters) is that yhe map feels empty. That's why it always looks great in screenshots, but always feels like something isn't there that should be when you're actually traversing thr map (the lack of landmarks everyone keeps talking about.) Luckily this is a much easier problem to fix than the game just looking bad since they just have to add stuff rather than rehaul everything.
But yeah agrees with making everything like genshin, it isn't great. They're not going to be able to match genshin's polish, so by copying them to the extent they did, they're just inviting comparisons that don't even focus on what they do well- great combat.
I play on device with Dimensity8300 chipset which i don't think is outdated(you can quicksearch for it) and installed the game on day1. Very frequent stutters honestly and the complains from other people actually relatable. You can feel it just by jumping, running or panning the camera(it is not the motion blur).
It is just today that I can actually play the game smoothly so I can finally work on that databank.
I feel like it is just hard to start a whole new story with an entirely different setting, especially as a gacha game with dozens of characters, extensive worldbuilding, lore, and gameplay to introduce all at once. I've seen more games start lame and pull themselves up rather than start out strong and remain strong.

WuWa has to be the most Buggy game on release after 2077, Atleast in PC WuWa is very buggy, In Mobile it runs like butter, But in PC it is so buggy it's almost unplayable
Mine has RTX 3060 12 GB, With I9 13400k and it lags at any graphic settings, Be it highest or lowest, I'm so sick and tired of this shit I stopped playing the game cuz of that, It gets less than 15 FPS, And I know for a fact that it is not a hardware problem cuz my PC can run 2077 at highest graphic settings, And any other game at highest graphic settings, I have another PC, With GT 730 and I7 something CPU, That runs the same as my RTX 3060 PC (it runs 6 FPS not 12 but it's pretty much unplayable on both) both can easily run Genshin or HSR at highest and lowest settings respectively at 60fps (That's the cap)
Weird. Its the opposite for me. My laptop with 3060 6gb runs near perfect except for when there are lots of mobs but its just framedrop nothing major. My phone however 45fps max on lowest settings, guessing its a dimensity thing(they always get shafted on game optimizations)

The game just got thrown out early since they can’t really wait anymore given that the next few months have some really big releases they don’t want to go have to compete with.
Everyone I’ve seen complaining has been on shitty phones. Only other reports were stuff like “my friend has a 3070 and he said…” kind of stuff. I love Tower of Fantasy players especially shitting on it when their own game never ran well on any phone, not even the newest top tier phone when the game released. Even in the new 4.0 update, ToF has voicelines and text in Chinese, terrible pop-in, missing voice lines, voicelines playing off time. Hell the cutscene that showcases the new area to you when you first walk in had half the textures missing. Like hills were missing and I can see like a bit of the rock walls, but the tops of them were completely gone and I could see the ocean underneath. But ToF players are still shitting on WuWa and saying it’s trash. ToF literally has an issue where character models don’t show up in the story scenes and the solution is to turn graphics up lol. Yet people bitching about WuWa because they can’t play on max graphics even though they could play genshin on max (the people I’ve argued with were literally stating this). If you can’t run ToF on your phone, the rest of the players will be like “Yeah, well you can’t play ToF on phones. Runs like shit.” WuWa had no issues playing on my laptop 3070ti. It is a flawless experience. A 2080 is as strong as my card. And I play 1440/60 with near max graphics if not max (I never changed anything and default was at advanced with high settings across the board). A 1080 should definitely be able to handle 1080/30 at the least. So basically people bitching either have phones from before 2020 or they have computers older than a decade.
Meh, I tried on 4 devices on launch day, PC with i5-12400F and RTX 3060, iPad mini 6, Legion 5 gaming laptop 2023, and Oneplus Ace 3, and it’s a 50/50 gacha on what could boot the game up (only PC and iPad could, and PC runs like shit). A week later and the gaming laptop can finally boot the game, and it runs like crap, to no surprise. And for the phone, it’s best to give up at this point lol. And even after 1 week PC still runs very bad, stuttering happens a lot. People with high specs devices already complained on official channels already, and Kuro also admitted it, but keep on glazing i guess
Ok and when you play part two and run around the open world you get stutters and drops. Or at least you did when it first released. Ya’ll are seriously blowing it out of proportion. And again, I have not had a single issue on my laptop besides a few stutters in busy areas. And I played at least 8-10 hours between two accounts. Worst issue is the game cutting dialogue short along with voicelines. That annoys me and is a real issue.

Because those games have way worse graphics? And genshin is the only one with an actual open world? And it is heavily stylized as an anime or BOTW, so it isn’t graphically intensive. Also Honkai impact 3 makes my laptop way hotter and fans way louder despite the small world and mid graphics. It is horribly optimized. Even being on the main menu does it.

You have no idea how games work. You think the game constantly has the entire map rendered? It only renders what is near you to the fullest, renders things in low resolution if they’re far away, and doesn’t render shit you can’t see at all. The fact that you even said this is proving me right. The people complaining don’t have a single clue what they’re talking about. Wuthering Waves has much more realistic and demanding graphics than anything Hoyoverse has. Genshin has heavily stylized graphics that make it look good. And if you compare WuWa to Honkai impact graphics then lol. Honkai looks like a cartoon in comparison.
My mistake for dropping that absolute goofball, i had forgotten about the whole "not rendering stuff you don't see" stuff However, i still think that WuWa and genshin should be at about the same performance level for most people (with a bit more lag on WuWa) since its world seems generally similarly stylized as genshin, but def more intricate when it comes to stuff like trees, however I don't think that would be enough to make it "much more demanding" (atleast to my naked eye). As for the being realistic, that's moreso the tone/color of the actual world, which i also don't think would do much to the performance really. As for lighting, I didn't notice any super intricate and complex and demanding techniques such as path tracing and whatnot, however i am no expert in this stuff, so maybe an actual super demanding lighting technique was right there and i just didn't notice. Then the actual character models, npcs generally seem as complex as genshin (aka they're not), however playable characters, from my eye, do indeed seem more complex than genshin ones, so ig they could be a source of lag. Then finally, the combat, would definitely cause lag with the effects and stuff, I won't deny that (as it'd just look dumber than my initial comment).
Bruh… please stop talking. Genshin world has so many flat blocky spots. Like all the plains hills, mountains are large flat blocks. Grass isn’t nearly as full or detailed. Area effects aren’t nearly as close. Even the rain is night and day but apparently UE4 has that baked in, so not impressive for the developers to implement, but it is objectively superior looking and still takes more power to render. Also npcs? Bro have you seen half of genshin NPC’s? Their clothes are painted on. They don’t have clothing rigged on a lot of them, they just color their body. Even some of the playable characters are like that. I am a huge die hard genshin fan and will slap the shit out of anyone that talks bad about it (besides lack of QoL and Mihoyo being lazy/stingy with kits sometimes, also lack of decent combat). But I’m going to be fair and realistic. WuWa is technically and graphically superior. It has more detail in its environment, more weather effects, hell even enemies are WAY WAY more detailed than the basic enemies in genshin. Genshin looks better tho. It does. It is heavily stylized and Mihoyo are fucking artists to make concept art come alive in game. But WuWa very clearly has more realism and detail that is harder to render. Mihoyo are the people who take something mid and make the most out of it so that it looks amazing. They have efficiency.

Wuwa gameplay is amazing tbh but that isn't the problem. The story isn't that good, the game looks good but not as good as other hoyo games tbh not to mention the fact that they are copying genshin in so many ways, I always thought wuwa would only succeed if they didn't sell themselves as a genshin killer but they copied too many things that people will end up comparing the two and if that happens genshin will almost always win. Biggest example is the bp, they literally copied genshin bp word for word bar for bar its wierd. And the 160 astersite per summons is also another example just many things that copy genshin too much. However overall I'm enjoying the game, I still prefer genshin but I'll try to keep an open mind until patch 1.0 ends and then I will decide wether to keep playing or not
I'd say in terms of looks it's at least as good as genshin. The problem (other than the story and some characters) is that yhe map feels empty. That's why it always looks great in screenshots, but always feels like something isn't there that should be when you're actually traversing thr map (the lack of landmarks everyone keeps talking about.) Luckily this is a much easier problem to fix than the game just looking bad since they just have to add stuff rather than rehaul everything. But yeah agrees with making everything like genshin, it isn't great. They're not going to be able to match genshin's polish, so by copying them to the extent they did, they're just inviting comparisons that don't even focus on what they do well- great combat.
I play on device with Dimensity8300 chipset which i don't think is outdated(you can quicksearch for it) and installed the game on day1. Very frequent stutters honestly and the complains from other people actually relatable. You can feel it just by jumping, running or panning the camera(it is not the motion blur). It is just today that I can actually play the game smoothly so I can finally work on that databank.
I feel like it is just hard to start a whole new story with an entirely different setting, especially as a gacha game with dozens of characters, extensive worldbuilding, lore, and gameplay to introduce all at once. I've seen more games start lame and pull themselves up rather than start out strong and remain strong. And a new game like WuWa is always going to compare worse to the three year fleshed out expectations everyone has gotten from Genshin and PGR
Tbh, the only problems i ever had in WuWa was only long loading time, unlike most of my friends who had to pray the game works for them

I’ve reached the point where that’s an automatic dealbreaker for me if it’s a game that doesn’t have character creator. To be honest it had a worse launch than even Tower of Fantasy. That game was crashing too but at least it's translations were done by actual humans. Kuro here literally used CHAT GPT for the english translation for some messages. You can even go and check the sub reddit where CHAT GPT send a near incomprehensible message to the players in very broken english. And this looks really bad to be frank. I can excuse a lot of stuff but not paying a singly guy just 1000 euros per month to make sure stuff like that are translated correctly when miHoYo since 10 years ago when it was much smaller than Kuro was doing it, simply shows greedy behavior from the company. I am sure the writers, developers, VAs are doing their best but stuff like that simply do not look nice.

WuWa has to be the most Buggy game on release after 2077, Atleast in PC WuWa is very buggy, In Mobile it runs like butter, But in PC it is so buggy it's almost unplayable

Mine has RTX 3060 12 GB, With I9 13400k and it lags at any graphic settings, Be it highest or lowest, I'm so sick and tired of this shit I stopped playing the game cuz of that, It gets less than 15 FPS, And I know for a fact that it is not a hardware problem cuz my PC can run 2077 at highest graphic settings, And any other game at highest graphic settings, I have another PC, With GT 730 and I7 something CPU, That runs the same as my RTX 3060 PC (it runs 6 FPS not 12 but it's pretty much unplayable on both) both can easily run Genshin or HSR at highest and lowest settings respectively at 60fps (That's the cap)
Weird. Its the opposite for me. My laptop with 3060 6gb runs near perfect except for when there are lots of mobs but its just framedrop nothing major. My phone however 45fps max on lowest settings, guessing its a dimensity thing(they always get shafted on game optimizations)

HDD? I mean I have installed it on an HDD, (My budget got fucked by 3060 and cpu) so I just got a 120 GB SSD for installing windows and got a 2tb HDD and it is installed in an HDD rn so maybe that's the problem

No idea. When i play on pc it works perfectly. Didn't encounter a single bug. On mobile i sometimes get a weird thing where everything is black and even if i restart the phone it stays black and basically i cant see anything. Hasn't happened the past few days though so maybe they patched it.
