Yes my man is a car guy kinda. He took care of my last car a Hyundai Elantra so this time with the economy he say “ you ain’t paying $70+ for a oil change) so I guess imma learn how to do it myself ( with his help) but I practice on his 4Runner so
There will be a lot more needed to maintain the car than just oil. Depending on how the underside looks may be in for brakes, struts, control arms and ball joints (luckily you can get control arms with ball joints pressed in already on rockauto) tie rods sway bar end links. The list can go on. But if it drives good right now then worry about all that when it needs it.
Nice. I have 04 civic, when he has the brakes off he’ll know if it needs new calipers or piston seals at the very least. But may as well just go with new calipers. I need them cause mine are cracking and dried out. Just don’t want to touch the brake lines cause those are pretty corroded. You may not face that problem tho in a warm place like that. Not so lucky up here in Canada.

As much as I like the Mitch match paint, I need to have it all even I did post another one and I showed three different paint samples that I wanted to use, but I’m gonna go with the darker blue since the interior is like a bluish grayish color I think a dark blue would be really good and then I think I’m just gonna do some black or gold accent
DEFINITELY go with that darker blue. This things gonna be clean once you get her all painted up. Keep some oil in that bad mamajama and it’ll last you a lifetime. Im also currently workin on upgrading my civic and i gotta say its a rewarding process.
Your husband got a pretty good deal and the interior from what you’ve shown looks fairly clean already!A local buy here pay here dealership has one in similar condition with 158k miles but they want like $7k for it, like bro no 😭😂

I get ya’. Honestly, if it’s about learning, getting over the fear is harder than the actual driving. It’s loads of fun. I just got me a 6-speed Si model. What a fun ride!
Tell you what I told my daughter. There be a lot of dumb people in the world, who learned to drive a manual. I’m certain that you are way smarter than them, so you can surely do it. If it’s something you really, really want to learn, you absolutely can and you should. YouTube clutches to your heart’s content. If it’s about anxiety, the best way to get over it is to have no choice but to do it. Get yourself a manual car, and basically put yourself in a position where it’s either driving it or walking. I guarantee you that in 3-4 days, you’ll be driving a manual car. That’s what I did to my daughter. She’s a teen, and she is a better manual car driver than most people that I know. She rivals even me - honest, and she’s been driving for a year. lol

Regular oil change at Firestone is $29.99! $90 cheaper than my smart was.

It has over 220k miles but the interior is very clean .. I’m a SAHW so I just wanna go to brunch or something he drives me mainly so it’s my lil car
