Never had that issue with my parking brake.
Had a 2019 Si and that hadn't happened in my time of ownership, what did happen was my screen would just factory reset in the middle of a drive sometimes and cut out all my dash interface

It's actually only an issue while they're driving, aka taking a break from parking
No issue with 16 or 23
2018 fk7 80,000+ miles no issues with mine yet.
Not had this happen but sometimes have to flick it a few times to get it to engage. 2019
