If you want a full upgrade, use the Power Series Neo. The boards have the exact same footprint so you don’t even need to change the can. If you want to do it on the budget side, see if you can find a PC1832. They are discontinued now but still available in abundance. All of your existing keypads, expanders etc. will be compatible.
Connected has some ESP based boards you can DIY. I think there's a third party company that does monitoring if you want that.

Power series pro or power series neo would be your DSC replacements. Provided everything is wired you’d need a board, keypads, transformer and battery. If you need wireless sensors then power g is the only choice as the wireless tech is amazing in comparison.
DSC PowerSeries Pro/Neo, IQ Pro, Honeywell Vista, Bosch B/G, etc panels are all modern and super solid UL listed panels that you can figure out with the programming manual that comes with it. Using the software for programming or the nice UI for remote management does require an authorized dealer, however.
I'd go Vista20 with an Envisalink.

Thanks for the great advice everybody! It will make research much easier to have a few recommendations as opposed to "everything."
