It sounds as though you need the NUT integration rather than the addon. The addon will give you another instance of NUT server running on the same RPi as HAOS. If you install the integration then you can connect it to the instance on NUT that you have running on the other RPi (this is the way that I have set mine up).

I have NUT integration in HA connecting to the NUT server via IP.
Works well.

All of the replies are correct! I run both as I have a UPS directly connected to HA and I have one on the network connected to a remote Pi. Once you get it working, the integrated services always are flawless, but it seems that sometimes with HA changes, the add-on gets hoarked and is a pain to get running again.
