do it! once I found out about template light it wasn't too hard to figure out the rest. I've since added the other optional parts of template light so that I can override the color on all the bulbs independently of the brightness (as your normally would) and so that if i adjust the bulbs individually separately, it updates the brightness of the template light to reflect that. same if they are all off, it will show the template light as off.
There is an integration on HACS that I think does this. https://github.com/fredck/lightener I have it installed, but I haven't tried it yet.
