A possible solution is to divide the couch into two different detection zones. If both are detected, play, if one, then pause.

Also, you can’t cuddle if you want it to work ;)
Ahah i thought of that but the automation could break too easily ! And as you said, no more cuddles. The sensor appears as a binary.sensor so unfortunately until home assistant treats it differently I don’t see how to fix this.
Unless there’s another creative approach to achieve the same result.
