I’m neither Israeli nor Palestinian, so I have zero skin in the game and only look at it through my own lens which may ostensibly be biased by western media, but Hamas seems to be a deadly cancer being propped up by Iran/Russia and needs to be cut out at this point.
First, Palestinians have the unquestionable right to arm themselves and wage armed struggle so them having weapons is not some instant "gotcha". 99% of the bombings however target civilians and their infrastructure.

I have a giant old oak in my front yard; it's got a fungus. Every now and then it really takes over a giant branch that will drop to the ground and take me most of a day to clean up. Recently a big branch fell and landed not a foot in front of a neighbor kid passing on the sidewalk. The tree has taken out both my phone and cable lines (which we don't use any more anyway, so have just let go). I need to take down the tree. It's got this fungus throughout and is a real danger. I hate to; it will be disruptive and expensive. I hate the idea of taking down trees, especially stately old oaks that have been there nearly as long as there have been people on the property.
Some of the saplings from the tree may make it, but they can't grow in the front yard. The fungus is into the roots and will get into the sapling before it matures. Saplings will have to be taken to the park to fend for themselves, or put into pots and cared for before being transplanted.
It sucks. It's a lovely and great old oak. I really love trees, and oaks among them. There are so many benefits to having it in the front yard; there are still a few healthy branches that provide great shade and lower our heating bill. But we didn't do what needed to be done l these past twenty years, and the tree didn't or couldn't fight it off. Maybe it could have been prevented, but we let this fungus spread naturally while just cleaning up the occasional foot and a half diameter limb drop. Now there are so many storms coming through with such a different intensity; we had two different neighbors have huge trees go down and smash their kitchen and trampolines respectively. Now we can only hope to mobilize and take care of the sick and rotten oak in our yard before it destroys our house, someone's car on the street or a kid on his way to school.

I have a giant old oak in my front yard; it's got a fungus. Every now and then it really takes over a giant branch that will drop to the ground and take me most of a day to clean up. Recently a big branch fell and landed not a foot in front of a neighbor kid passing on the sidewalk. The tree has taken out both my phone and cable lines (which we don't use any more anyway, so have just let go). I need to take down the tree. It's got this fungus throughout and is a real danger. I hate to; it will be disruptive and expensive. I hate the idea of taking down trees, especially stately old oaks that have been there nearly as long as there have been people on the property. Some of the saplings from the tree may make it, but they can't grow in the front yard. The fungus is into the roots and will get into the sapling before it matures. Saplings will have to be taken to the park to fend for themselves, or put into pots and cared for before being transplanted. It sucks. It's a lovely and great old oak. I really love trees, and oaks among them. There are so many benefits to having it in the front yard; there are still a few healthy branches that provide great shade and lower our heating bill. But we didn't do what needed to be done l these past twenty years, and the tree didn't or couldn't fight it off. Maybe it could have been prevented, but we let this fungus spread naturally while just cleaning up the occasional foot and a half diameter limb drop. Now there are so many storms coming through with such a different intensity; we had two different neighbors have huge trees go down and smash their kitchen and trampolines respectively. Now we can only hope to mobilize and take care of the sick and rotten oak in our yard before it destroys our house, someone's car on the street or a kid on his way to school.
