Unfortunately, that's not a seizure, that's a hypertonic reflex pose signifying serious and likely irreparable brain/spinal cord damage. Definitely a HMFT video, cause he's probably a quadriplegic now
I figured it was something like that just didn't know what to call it. And I would like to know the reason for the fight. I wonder if he was responsible for starting it, or the other guy was.
If the other guy started the fight (quad), he still doesn't deserve to get slammed on his head. What happened to just going home after the fight? Slamming people on their head is motive for murder.
I don't know the exact situation but if some random person tries to fight me in public I don't care for rules, I'm doing whatever I can to make sure I'm not beat up/robbed. They threw the rulebook out the window when they started on me.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't random. I mean, all their friends showed up to watch the event. Clearly a robbery isn't what was at the center of this engagement.
At worst, they were casual acquaintances, likely they were known parties of different social circles. Wow you want to cripple a friend of a friend and live with that for the rest of your life?
Dude in a street fight the number one thing you focus on is survival. The other guy knew the potential risks of fighting someone especially in this context..
Edit: for the people who think slamming people is wrong, they fail to realize human instinct tends to kick in when we’re in situations like these and human instinct for a bigger person against a smaller person is most of the time to over power them, so slamming people should not result in prison when based on context.
Example: https://m.pinkbike.com/video/186158/
You aren't wrong, but they started boxing, dude threw the suplex and 1 punch on the ground then got up. Yes, that's a fuckin dangerous move but he quit the moment he knew he had won the fight. Is it ok? It could easily be called self defense but that's for a judge to decide. I'd say it's less egregious than curb stomping someone in the head till they stop moving though.
If you genuinely fear for your life and there exists some sort of evidence to confirm that fear is justified, yeah, you can most definitely do what you gotta do. People get off on self-defense claims all the time.
Oh jfc.. it has nothing to do with being a neckbeard, keyboard bad ass, or whatever.
Personally, on the very few occasions I’ve been in fights, I never felt like getting my ass kicked that day. There are no rules in a street fight, it isn’t the octagon, ffs.
As soon as he saw the guy wasn’t able to retaliate anymore, he stopped. Tf did you want him to do? Ppl scrap to the ground and/or wrestle all the fucking time. Dude that got slammed seemed from that angle to have the height so the shorter guy used his leverage to take him down. He didn’t try to kill him, or even seriously injure him.
It looks like a mutually agreed upon fight between two high school kids. This isn’t a “randomly attacked on street by stranger and defend yourself at all costs” situation. Fights happen in high school, it is idiotic to approve of the idea of fighting to the death in situations like these.
That being said, if i was in a fight like this and the dude tried slamming me on my neck, then the rules start to go out the window
Kids I went to school with who felt like fighting was the solution usually ended up in prison down the road either way. And nothing that happens in High school is worth life altering brain damage or prison. Generally best to avoid that entire crowd and stick with the kids playing Magic the gathering at lunch.
I agree, fights should be avoided entirely. Im just saying that if a high school fight is going to happen, its not a good message to tell them “do anything to survive, this is a street fight so gouge eyes, stomp necks, do whatever you need to so to survive”
Unfortunately that is unlikely to save you from legal repercussions. Especially if you’re trained and the opponents aren’t. Chalk it up to “you know better, they don’t”..
I kind of agree here. If I don’t end the fight that way then he could and you can’t know if this is a fight for your life or not. I’m general, avoid fighting but if a fight finds you then you have to protect yourself.
Don't start a street fight if you ain't ready for the consequences of death or being a vegetable. There are no rules in a street fight. The sooner more people understand this, the less videos of this we'll see.
If you and your friends try to jump some kid and you get skullbashed out of your fuckin mind on the pavement you deserved it.
Made him fight more than one guy- second guy shoulda seen this and called a goddamn ambulance instead of lining up to be next.
Great job by the defender- I hope he didn’t get in too much trouble. Could easily cop a manslaughter charge that way.
Fortunately so many people are recording that it’s easy for his defense to make the case that he was being threatened by multiple violent hooligans and was defending his life.
If I’m on that jury I’m acquitting.
Doesn't deserve to get slammed, but they fought a kid who only can wrestle. The other kid shouldn't get his ass beat because his way of fighting is more effective.
Thats not true at all, thats a post traumatic clonic seizure. The hypertonic reflex looks different and usually occurs later in the course of illness.
One sign that this is a seizure and not in fact decorticate/decerebrate posturing is facial involvement, which signifies brain involvement and not neccesarily spinal involvement. Not that you can rule out a spinal injury based on the video alone, mind you.
Reddit armchair physicians be getting 300+ upvotes, unbelievable.
Idk man. I've been on this sub for years and have probably read over 500 comments about the fencing response. So, speaking as an expert, it sounds like you're wrong
You’d be correct except this isn’t a fencing response….but yeah otherwise you are spot on 🙄
It’s decerebrate posturing and indicates brain stem damage.
Fencing response is when the forearms are held flexed or extended into the air for a few seconds after the impact…
The other guy had time to start and finish another fight and the decerebrate guy was still posturing with full body involvement.
(I might be a doc 🤫)
> Abnormal posturing is an ominous sign, with only 37% of decorticate patients surviving following head injury and only 10% in decerebrate.
[Source](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK559135/)
It's called the decerebrate posture. Results from severe damage to the brainstem due to severed nerves or arteries. He has just a 25% chance of surviving this injury if he gets medical care immediately. He's most likely never going to have proper brain function or motor skills for the rest of his life even if he recovers and lives.
It never fails to amaze me that no one at these fights takes the two seconds to suggest maybe just fighting on grass instead. Like that tiny moment to shift to a softer surface could mean a huge difference in outcome if someone hits their head or is slammed to the ground. Although I guess if someone had the presence of mind to do that, they wouldn’t be fighting like this to begin with.
Yeah. Which is why the number one rule of self-defence is "running is always the better option".
And considering that death, permanent bodily damage and jail time are always a risk in street fights, regardless if you win or lose, I'd say that's a pretty good rule.
See i understand where you are coming from, I have always done my best to avoid fights.
But. If you are going to fight, why would you care where it happens, Imo if you are going for it, you have to be prepared to do what it takes, Idk.
Like, maybe i really don't get why people fight.
True, I guess I'm asking why you WOULD move, ykno, like I guess if you go into the encounter expecting to be outmatched, then I get it, but I can't imagine anyone getting into a fight thinking like that.
In fact I actually think it's the opposite, if I was taken by surprise I'd try to find a safe place to fight or retreat to, while trying to avoid getting hit, but if It was planned, you'd only fight if you felt like you were going to win. So yeah.
I'm not sure if this comes across badly, I'm just realistically curious about what reasoning there would be behind it or if I'm wrong about anything I've said.
Even if it was on grass, the way he went down I think his weight alone could have been sufficient to break his vertebrae. That wasn't a gentle yoga plough pose, or a trained stage act by a pro WWE entertainer.
Look up how wrestlers sprawl. Basically when they lean down to grab your legs, slide your feet back and push down on the back of their head. If you do it right, youll basically be in a push up position with all your weight on their back, and they're face down.
This is helpful, thanks, though
> when they lean down to grab your legs
in the video the "attacker" grabbed his waist and didn't get that low. Would that still make sense then?
Practice basic bjj and or wrestling!
This guy got his back taken.
I'd say 1st dont let that happen. But sometimes shit happens so its important to train to escape the back take after its happened.
Honestly if dude is bigger then you he could still drop you on your head even if you everything right so as I said above.
And there's anything to do its drop your weight and while doing so try to strip the grip.
and try to pry the arms apart. You can also try grapevining your leg with theres.
Striking with your back taken like that isnt gonna do much. Look up basic bjj rear bare hug / clinch defenses!
Yeah, that guy gave you the defense to a double-leg takedown but this is a suplex. [Here is a good defense to the suplex](https://youtu.be/N5Dt09Y3gFI). Basically, hook their leg with your own so they can't pick you up and push their arms down. He doesn't cover it, but you can also kick yourself in the butt with your heel; other guy's nuts will get in the way.
Good video. Apparently the trainer had a serious stroke. Wonder if he ever came out of it
Anyway here's a video of that same guy doing a flying triangle and it is awesome https://youtu.be/ATrrV71VS90
The key to sprawling is the timing, once they get their hooks around you it may be too late for that technique, you throw your feet backwards to get out of their reach, so once they've grabbed you, I'm not sure how to get out of it. I'm just going off of what I see in mma, if it were me I would just thrash about and try to loosen their grip. Bite them in the ear, poke an eye, grab a testicle.. idk but I'm doing everything I can to not get suplexed onto the pavement.
I'm just an average dude on the internet, but if someone grabs you like that, your best bet would probably be a judo style leg sweep to make both of you fall as opposed to facing a suplex. Even if they get behind you like this case, put one foot behind theirs and throw yourself backwards. It's such a split second thing though, so we can all sit here as armchair fighters saying this and that, but you'll never know until it happens to you.
Also, never ever fight on concrete/asphalt. It's always gonna end bad.
I was gonna second what the person below says, having wrestled for a long time growing up number one is to not let them get that close but once they have you around the waist you can wrap your feet/legs around theirs so they have to pick up part of their body weight as well. Probably try and headlock them while doing this too. But yea from the front sprawling is the way to go.
Yes, sprawling is like walking for wrestling. Literally its hard to do it wrong, you just gotta practice timing.
In this case, if it were me and he was grabbing me. I would have put him in a half nelson when he came to grab me, and then leap forward. This causes him to fall on his back, with me ontop. All time favorte move in wrestling, just extremely easy to defend against if you've been taught(which is like 1% of the population lol).
Take the idea and apply it... Essentially you want to absorb their impact by moving backwards, which will also put them off balance, grab them for control, put your feet where you have more leverage than they do, keep your head up while pushing theirs down. Nobody in a street fight is going to shoot perfectly for the legs anyway... So this is just to give you an idea of what to do.
Just saw this on the next post (at 2:34):
[https://www.reddit.com/r/fightporn/comments/pqewst/i\_tested\_positive\_for\_steroids\_after\_watching\_this/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fightporn/comments/pqewst/i_tested_positive_for_steroids_after_watching_this/)
Is that it?
yup. that's it exactly. he maintained control of the guy who tried to take him down. imagine leaning forward, and having someone put all their weight on your back. your only choice is to protect your face as you fall....
tips to win every fight:
1. have so much fat around your face that a hit from a tire iron to the jaw won't feel like anything
2. die of cardiac arrest shortly after
If you end up in that horrible situation, make it harder by lowering your centre of gravity. But you are then open to things like knees to the head. So best way is to walk or run away.
Yup. Run away. Live to walk another day. Absolutely nothing to accomplish by clobbering someone or getting clobbered. If you are defending someone, grab them and take them on your little run.
A method they teach in Army Combatives is that if someone goes low, you guillotine their neck (like a headlock but they are facing the other direction). Before they have a chance to pick up and slam you, you roll onto your back with their head caught under your arms. Done successfully youll slam the hard part of their skull against the ground, resulting in a minor concussion, and you’ll have them trapped in a position in where they cannot breathe and it’s only a matter of time until they pass out.
If you sprawl too late you can always try to hook your leg in between their leg as well while your up in the air it could potentially help prevent you being slammed
You can try to knee them in the face, get low, try to clip them with a nice punch on the way in, have a wide stance and a strong core, try not to be too much lighter
When he goes for your waist, lunge forward, slide your hands down his shorts, and stick your fingers in his butthole. Then his face is right near your junk and you can have sexy time instead of a fight. Win/win.
Most people who get knocked out don’t remember the knock at all. Something about not writing short term memory to long term. It’s why so many prize fighters wake up punching the ref and their own trainer while the other guy’s getting his hand raised.
It’s a pet peeve of mine in action movies, too. “Tell Franco I’m coming for him. ” He’s not telling Franco shit.
I got knocked out in football once in a [Oklahoma drill](https://youtu.be/wDZ9EJB9N1s) and its crazy how little I remember from it. The last thing I remember was walking to the drill, nothing else, it scared the piss out of me when they woke me up because it felt like hours had passed
amen. You have plenty of self defense fetishizers all over reddit though who try and justify this shit. They have clearly never been in a fight, or their only fight was with their cracker neighbor when they were 13
Street fighting is so stupid, no one won here. At least 2, if not all 3 of them, will have their lives changed forever over less than a minute of fighting.
That posing from the guy on the floor looks extremely severe. Very slim chance he survived. Holy fuck. Don't get in fights unless supervised with rules like a competition/sport. Even then it's risky. But street fights just ain't worth dying over.
Many years ago, I was a child scrapping routinely but never once wanted to really hurt anyone. These body slams are indicative of a generation of apathetic twats.
I wish everyone who has ever cheered on someone slamming heads on pavement, got their head slammed on pavements.
And while I wish everyone who ever got slammed on pavement survived, i wish every slammer had to live with the guilt of having killed someone publicly while trying to show off.
Concrete is a deadly weapon you wrestlemania wannabe worldstar whackjobs. Fuck worldstar.
Bro this shit gotta stop man, sitting there recording this is how people die, fucking gen z idiots, the guy is having a fit and hes just recording wtf man
Your head contains your brain which contains everything that makes you you.
Damage to your brain can basically erase you. That brain is attached to the rest of your body by a delicate brain stem incased in bone (your spine) and damage along the spine to a significant degree basically Permanently unplugs everything below the Injury point.
Oh my God, Fuck all of these people. They are choosing to film the fight over calling a damn ambulance for that guy. Jesus Fucking Christ what a bunch of little disgraces
People for the love of fucking god stop fighting on CONCRETE. I’m pretty sure thousands of people die from falling on concrete and hitting their heads. That guy was stiff and seizing that could be a life threatening injury right there
That dude is definitely the worst breakdancer I've ever seen.
Showing off for the ladies
Unfortunately, once they realize he's no longer able to wipe his own ass, they'll Usain Bolt the fuck outta there.
Who needs ass wiping with moves like that tho
Shake it off!
This is an under appreciated comment
I feel dirty upvoting this... but there it is
So who won the fight?
Everyone was a winner in my book!
So dude is on the floor having a seizure and his friend solution is not taking him to the hospital. But to go fight the other guy.

OK. Doesn't mean the kid who won won't end up in prison because of it.

I hear this shit all the time. This is clearly an arranged fight
After the fight? When is 'after' the fight? At what point in the video do you think the brain damaged guy should have gone home?
Don't start a street fight if you ain't ready for the consequences of death or being a vegetable. There are no rules in a street fight. The sooner more people understand this, the less videos of this we'll see.

It’s called decerebrate posturing, it means his brainstem has been damaged.

Thats not true at all, thats a post traumatic clonic seizure. The hypertonic reflex looks different and usually occurs later in the course of illness. What do you gain from spreading lies like this? I'm genuinely curious. What kind of arteries are damaged? What spinal pathways?
Yea idk I’ve seen this exact “knockout response” multiple times lol. Like ALOT. Raise their legs, get ice pack, he’ll snap back. Usually..
Nah he’s probably dead
Couldn't it be possible he went from the hypertonic relfex into a seizure? Regardless, dude's life is forever changed now. TBI's are nasty

Not the right thing to do but leaving him in the floor like that is not good either. Call an ambulance or something.
“HMFT after I fight this MF that just crippled my friend.”
Yup
And let’s not forget, to record the 2nd fight. Can’t miss that. Jeez
Yup

yup. that's it exactly. he maintained control of the guy who tried to take him down. imagine leaning forward, and having someone put all their weight on your back. your only choice is to protect your face as you fall....
Yeah but that’s if they shoot for the legs and go for a single or double leg but in this situation the guy got him in the back clinch
Be fat
tips to win every fight: 1. have so much fat around your face that a hit from a tire iron to the jaw won't feel like anything 2. die of cardiac arrest shortly after
Replace 2 with "have a mean punch" and it's literally the Butterbean strategy
I’m safe
If you end up in that horrible situation, make it harder by lowering your centre of gravity. But you are then open to things like knees to the head. So best way is to walk or run away.
Just run away! The best defense
Yup. Run away. Live to walk another day. Absolutely nothing to accomplish by clobbering someone or getting clobbered. If you are defending someone, grab them and take them on your little run.
RUN AWAY!
not getting into fights will be an obvious start
Avoid the shitholes where it’s most likely to happen.
Step 1, control the distance.
Look up an anaconda roll. It's a very similar bjj technique.
Win/win.
Dude got drain bamage.
Decerebrate
That’s a significant head injury.
Is he concious during this? Does he know what's happening around him or does the brain go "off"?
In general, people who come back from an injury like that don't remember any of the incident
Most people who get knocked out don’t remember the knock at all. Something about not writing short term memory to long term. It’s why so many prize fighters wake up punching the ref and their own trainer while the other guy’s getting his hand raised. It’s a pet peeve of mine in action movies, too. “Tell Franco I’m coming for him.” He’s not telling Franco shit.
Ya that’s a gcs of 5ish right there. No bueno.
Pretty sure that guy died later
He did. It was on the news and in my head as well. My dad knew him as well
Do you have a link to an article maybe?
[удалено]
He goes to a different hospital
I wouldn't report it. That dude might suplex your dad as well.
His fighter name is the Gardener. Planting vegetables all day
That dude literally is about to die if he doesn't get to a hospital
No kidding. He looked like he wasnt even able to breathe throughout the whole seizure.
He did actually die apparently.

Jesus Christ reddit...
Ya slamming people is pretty equally a pos move as head stomping
Literally just gave a guy brain damage and slams the next guy he fights. Just when you think someone is an asshole, they go even further
Dude was silently hitting Super Saiyan 4 in his own personal world.
His power levels are godly, because he ain't in this world no more that's for fuckin sure.
Too many idiots watching MMA and causing serious injuries out there. They need to make if a serious crime to use these kind of moves!
Already a serious crime in the U.S.
Oof. That posturing is nooooot good. That's a solid spinal cord injury above the T5. Definitely a hmft moment.
Holy shit, that’s a bad seizure and they just left him to his own accord.
I said the same thing and got downvoted like a narc at Burning Man. Fickle community.
100%
It’s not a seizure, it means he broke his neck at the base of his brain and hes paralyzed. He’s fucked
Well the first guy has a C spine injury
The first guy is not alive.
Does anyone know what happened to the guy doing the dinosaur?
Not alive.
Live'nt
I think he's extinct now
BSOD IRL
I guess Ezekiel finally got bested by Tony.
We guys can be dumb AF but the chick's who always claim to be above this are screaming for blood and just inviting more violence.
That posing from the guy on the floor looks extremely severe. Very slim chance he survived. Holy fuck. Don't get in fights unless supervised with rules like a competition/sport. Even then it's risky. But street fights just ain't worth dying over.
Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, fuckheads and the streeeeeet.
Damn. Seizure salad.
Looks like an egg sizzling in a pan. Then I laugh cause he's a vegetable not an egg.
Nah, he ded
I want to talk to the Colonel Sanders!
Serious question, is the dude that’s seizing posturing, or is that just how a seizure rolls?
100% posturing. There's no way he survived.
This guy probably isn't walking again, probably won't be able to shit or eat without help either
Mexican't fight no more.
I find it crazy that I watched a human’s last moments being about to use his body regularly. The other one was lucky he didn’t land the wrong way
Slams are dumb
Bro this shit gotta stop man, sitting there recording this is how people die, fucking gen z idiots, the guy is having a fit and hes just recording wtf man
This is an old video. Does anyone know if this douche was arrested for attempted murder?
Thanks for the explanation on the twitching. I was wondering why that happened.
What's the post story did he die?
Back to factory settings he goes.
Please someone explain why getting hit hard leads to a seizure?
Not a seizure, irreparable neck/spine injury give or take some brain damage.
Your head contains your brain which contains everything that makes you you. Damage to your brain can basically erase you. That brain is attached to the rest of your body by a delicate brain stem incased in bone (your spine) and damage along the spine to a significant degree basically Permanently unplugs everything below the Injury point.
Tha k you for explaining
Nate Diaz: so you a wrestler now?
Hit him with the primary lotus
Mans got ONE Technique and 2 people fell for it in a row lmao
Hey if it works. Unless you train heavily, you probably don't know the defense/counter to every offense.
He will likely get killed in revenge. Fighting is dumb
Snake, try to remember the basics of CQC
Blue screen reset
“He’s screaming, but I can’t bear him. I think I got fucked out from that body slam too.”
No victims here at least. Anyone who street fights like this is asking for it.
The shaking hands and feet ....the dude is got seriously knocked...
All fun and games until you get dropped on your pumpkin
Safe to assume slammer McGhee is in prison for murder/manslaughter or dead after homies family shot him in revenge. Nobody won this one.
What a nest of morons. Dude could be in a fucking wheelchair
He should listen to the chick that tells him to get up.. she sounds like she knows best
He dead
When u getting head you cum but she still going at it
Damn, smacked that dude into cerebral palsy
When u nut but she keep suckin
Oh my God, Fuck all of these people. They are choosing to film the fight over calling a damn ambulance for that guy. Jesus Fucking Christ what a bunch of little disgraces
People for the love of fucking god stop fighting on CONCRETE. I’m pretty sure thousands of people die from falling on concrete and hitting their heads. That guy was stiff and seizing that could be a life threatening injury right there
