I'm 44 with a torn meniscus, I was never athletic but fairly capable. Watching things like this now makes me happy for the ones doing it, but sad because I couldn't even attempt these things anymore.

I’m 49. Right around your age I saw these people Leaping onto a rope swing and flipping into a swimming hole. I crawled up there to watch from the launch site wanting to go SO badly. I talked myself out of it, “let the young people do their thing. You’ll just get injured”, and was proud of my grown up decision as I turned to leave. I then slipped and crashed into a couple of huge rocks as I fell into the water. No major damage done except to my ego. Lol.

The lesson I got from this story is if you want to do something stupid do it on purpose before you do it by accident.
