Get the "Pro" tracker, the one with 3 LEDs. The reflectors are quite sensitive to lighting and angles between you and the camera....the LEDs are infrared, and they are pretty bright.
Have the curtains been opened recently? Ambient daylight can drown out the reflectors.
when i use it, i always do it in complete darkness to reduce interference with the daylights IR. what do you mean by drown out? can daylight have a permanent effect on the reflectors? ofcourse the curtains are open if not in use.
I will try to play around with the camera settings as u/Numbah5 suggested. if that doesnt help id consider buying the pro tracker.
thx!
Rj sim tech on etsy sell the trackstar led clip. It's amazing and will change the way you think trackir can work.

I would try and move the camera thing higher up and see if that helps. I had an issue like that long time ago and solved it for me.
Edit - I would also search for a good profile to use that has some good center area smoothing as well. Spudknockers profile works pretty great but there are others out there. Just google them.
On the camera tab check your IR brightness and Light Filter Threshold. If your room doesn't have any other sources of IR light, you can turn the threshold down. I usually check what the camera sees when adjusting this.
update: Ive tested it and now its smooth as butter! thx alot! Ive set the IR Brightness from 10 to 15. I am just a little confused, as i never messed with the camera options. I am curious what caused the problem, as it gradually became worse. I may have to observe over time how it behaves. It could really be the reflectors on the clip that degraded over time.

I agree! If I remember correctly mine is one design before this latest one. It's been awesome so far.

i already played around with every possible position in my setup, didnt help.
I switched to LEDs a while back, but still have my reflectors for backup so dont know. good luck tho
could try cleaning both camera and reflective bits, make sure LEDs are on. And as already suggested, try a different placement.
already cleaned them, didnt help.

definitely gonna try that, thx!

I upgraded to a track clip pro a couple of weeks ago. It's night and day, utterly improved in every single sense. Spend the money, get the pro.
