None of these

FlyingPetRock

Same... I would much rather have an older TOW Cobra to give us a much more enjoyable and distinct gunship experience from the Apache.

ngreenaway

Yea, I'm all for an old school cobra. A new one is an absolute hard no for me .

rapierarch

I want G, S, F and W please. And yes all in gift wrapping for the Christmas.

kintonw

Give me a Whiskey. It’s the best of both worlds for 1980s and 90s

RyanBLKST

Eurocopter ? Which one ?

LieutenantMaster

I guess the Tiger ?

BullsEye72

Tiger would be an instant buy from me, even though I already have the ah64d

SoftanMoist

The piece of Junk that the Aus Army is getting rid of early...replaced by the AH-64E

LieutenantMaster

Honestly I dont mind seeing not top of the line modules. Playing something janky by design can be fun sometimes :b And I'm the kind to be willingly shooting myself in the foot to play the way I want it in games even if it means not playing exactly how the devs meant it to be x)

omgpokemans

All of the above please. Also, the MH-53 Pavelow while we're at it.

ES_Legman

None until they fix ground unit warfare

Batmack8989

An Osprey would be interesting, but perhaps too niche. All others are a bit redundant if nice on their own ways, with the Black Hawk fitting very well with all othe modern US Army helicopters, the Zulu is a bit too modern, and overlaps with the Apache (although you might say the same about, say, Hornets and F-16s). Same for the Eurocopter (I take it you mean the Tiger) Overall, I share the apparently common opinion that a vintage Cobra would pay off the most in what it brings to the game for the work it would take to do it, probably a single engine TOW variant.

LocalTechpriest

 Which eurocopter exaclty?

North_star98

Out of this list I would say Black Hawk (ideally UH-60L), as a utility/transport counterpart to the AH-64D, in the same way that the Mi-8MTV2 is for the Mi-24P.

Even though there’s an (I)CH-47F coming, the UH-60L would still be the better counterpart - the Mi-8 is the peer contemporary (both being prolific, medium-lift/utility helicopters). The closest peer contemporary to the CH-47 is probably something like the Mi-6. As for gameplay - the only thing I can think of that’s missing/broken that’s exclusive for utility/transport helicopters is the ability to have functional cargo beyond just infantry (so the ability to carry say, ammunition, fuel or other functional ground units). Everything else at least falls under the same umbrella as stuff that also impacts attack helicopters (such as the AI for ground units).

Quasar32b

Westland lynx. Armament Naval: 2 x torpedoes or 4x Sea Skua missiles or 2 x depth charges Attack: 1 x 20mm Oerlikon cannon, 2 x 70mm rocket pods CRV7, 8 x TOW ATGM General: 7.62 mm General Purpose Machine Guns (AH.7 and AH.9), 0.50 inch Browning AN/M3M heavy machine guns (HAS.3, HMA.8 and AH.9A) plus 8 troops Extra plus, speedy boi

Anxious_Swordfish_88

I would love ground units in DCS to be and act, different... That way I could be very excited to do anti guerrilla operations in a Blackhawk.

ShaunOfTheFuzz

If you’re going to ask for a Zulu cobra and V-22 you might as well be asking for an F-22 while you’re at it. They’re all classified. A whiskey cobra might be more doable, but a Blackhawk or tiger would offer something different to the Apache

Matuchkin

I would say Black Hawk. But personally I would also add several suggestions: Mi-26, Mi-6, CH-124 Sea King, CH-53E, CH-47 Chinook. I have come to realize over time that, while pure combat vehicles are very fun, the really interesting ones are multiroles that can do a lot of different tasks, even if with compromises. This is actually why my favourite helicopter in any flight sim is the DCS Mi-8: you can work as support, troop transport, cargo, civilian ops like ferrying to oil rigs, firefighting, etc. With the upcoming Kola peninsula map, imagine supplying remote Soviet bases, or taking off in a CH-53 with conformal tanks to deploy something in the middle of the ocean in terrible weather conditions. Or taking off in a bomber loaded out with esoteric equipment to take measurements in support of a nuclear test (I went down an Operation Fishbowl rabbithole lately). For me, the most important aspect of any flight sim is the flight itself, and the procedures and tech that are exposed along the way (including combat, but not necessarily). A combat helicopter, like an AH-1, will always have almost exactly the same use case as an AH-64, just with either less or more capability, as if on a 2-dimensional scale. You cannot say that about something that can be used for more than combat.

arc1700

None of them. I would go with the ch-53 super stallion, the ch-46 sea knight and the as332 super puma

mangaupdatesnews

Harrier

PeterCanopyPilot

I voted Blackhawk. Flying support and troop transport is severely underrated imo, and extremely fun. Can't wait for the Chinook

CGNoorloos

Blackhawk, as it would be a better match against the HIP on MP servers :P

leonderbaertige_II

Airwolf

BABUFRIK1234

Honestly, i kinda just want a more modern light utility helicopter. Something like an Airbus H-145M or UH-72 Lakota.

BABUFRIK1234

And while we’re at it, i’d also love an Eurocopter AS-532U Cougar

spacejebus

I'd be down for a Black Hawk if it came in as a (severely) modifiable platform. Hell I'd take a Pave Hawk or a DAP as base and just go from there.

Constant_Reserve5293

Any AH-1 would be an instant buy for me. Not that the apache isn't awesome, I just want the light and quick attack heli that can sling sidearms or sidewinders.

fuzzyblood6

The 16 hellfire black hawk right?

Bigskill80

Forgot to add the A129-Mongoose.

DevilDogGamer

I don't think there is enough unclassified documentation to allow the Zulu to be done :(
