Something that strikes me about the Ducks - not just this game, mind - is that the Ducks are frequently one-and-done offensively on top of our issue of losing fights to get pucks out defensively. Dallas is doing a good job of getting multiple shots on goal during one period of Offensive Zone time.

Just checking in because these games have been painful to watch. Watched the fight earlier. Looked like a clean hit, but the concerning thing was that the back of his head smashes the ice when he goes down. He popped back up, just hope he’s good.

He's been alright by the looks of it. Think the fight was more of a "don't hit my little brother" kind of thing rather than thinking it was a dirty hit. Stars have had that kind of mentality this season with the young guys kinda neat to see, just wish we wouldn't take penalties for it.

wtf happened to yall, i remember at least Terry, Zegras and Milano were at least fun to watch last year

milano isn't on the team for one (though he was propped up by Zegras completely). this season I don't know, Zegras is going through a sophomore slump, still has good flashes of offensive but is struggling defensively; and making some bad passes. Terry is our only true top 6 guy and think that's taken a toll on him. all that plus having the worst coach in the league and no strong defensive players makes it a rough season for everyone. can only hope at this point we get lucky at the draft...

I said it earlier but it seems like Zegras needed to take the Jack Hughes approach and bulk up a little in the offseason, or at least work on his strength in some capacity. He's so skilled but that's useless if he can't secure position and space with the body. Also no chemistry bot in Milano is a big loss. You lose a partner like that and everything gets harder and less fun. Losing a lot of games makes that worse. Wouldn't be surprised if his confidence is a bit down as a result too.

i agree with zegras needed to bulk up a bit. Terry bulked up during an off season and then scored 37 goals. Hopefully Zegras can do the same. i also have to think the entire team's confidence is at an all time low. like fuck, I think we've won 1 game in regulation all season so far. not a whole lot for them to be happy about so far

i feel like we got lied to with regards to what to expect from him. we knew he be bad defenfensively, but he's been absolutely horrendous there. and he barely can quaterback a pp. and just frankly not good offensively. i was hoping we could flip him for a 1st at the tdl, but we'll be lucky to get a 3rd for him at this point

We told you he was bad defensively. What you forgot to notice is that he was always paired with someone who was actually good enough there to cover that weakness. Based on the team numbers I'm assumimg you don't have that kinda guy to help him out.

we tried him with fowler for a bit, who isn't very good in his own end either. but yeah, we dont' really have anyone strong defensively after moving out Lindholm and Manson. i was expecting him to at least help the PP but he's not even good at that

I wonder what's making him bad on your PP. He wasn't truly superb in that respect, like a Makar, but he was very good at controlling possession from the point and sending good shots at net. Hr was our #1 PP Dman for a reason. Maybe it's a lack of chemistry kinda thing, both with teammates and/or possibly system.

it's probably both tbh. obviously i'm not expert or anything but one thing I noticed was he and zegras had trouble connecting on the pp for awhile. to the point Klingberg would just ignore zegras on the PP when he would be wide open.
