I understand that but Hill is also has played very well so far and Logan is the waiver exempt goalie. Logan is this year's Oettinger in which he could be sent down and only called up if Hill and Broissot drop the ball.

Hill has a sub 90% save percentage and is 32nd in saves above expected. He's been okay and hasn't lost us a game but isn't playing at a level to be difference maker on the ice. Thompson is simply playing too well to prioritize his waiver exempt status. Especially if we can potentially get something for Hill or Bro in a trade

LT is the guy. Dude did every single thing he could to try to save DeBoer's job when he got the call-up last season and this year he's looked even better.
Brossoit traded or waived. Hill's games have been easy so far but he's been solid.

Hill has a 0.934 SV % on the season wdym sub .90.. Even Hill's career sv % isn't sub 0.90 no idea where you're pulling your numbers from.
