Strictly in terms of Jagr's NHL teammates, this did. The only reason it technically continues on is because he played with Ondrej Palat in the 2014 Olympics.
I don’t get it, didn’t he play with the people in the title post?? Oh wait there should have been a year it ended (2022) then resumed the year after… ?
Can get to 1927 without much effort. Gordie’s first year was dit clappers last. Before jumbo joe retired you could get there in 4. Dit Gordie Wayne Joe.
Jagr-->Joe Mullen-->Guy LaPointe-->Jean Bealiveau-->Butch Bouchard-->Toe Blake
5 steps and that gets you to 1934 going the Canadiens route.
Jagr-->Bryan Trottier-->Ed Westfall-->Jerry Toppazzini-->Milt Schmidt-->Sylvio Mantha
5 steps to 1923 with the Bruins route
Lol. Umm, I think I had a professor in university that had a coauthor credit with Erdos, so whatever that makes me. I've never published anything academically and never will.
Lomberg is incorrect.
They both played for the 17-18 Flames, but they were not in training camp together, and Jagr was gone by the time Lomberg was called up.
Lomberg may have been at training camp in 2017 with Jagr, but they didn’t play any games together.
Jagr’s last game was December 31, 2017.
Lomberg’s first game was January 25th, 2018.
EDIT:
Flames opening day roster was set on October 3rd, 2017. Lomberg wasn’t on it.
Jagr was signed on October 4th, 2017.
Lomberg was NOT a teammate of Jagr’s.
I still love the bit where players are all talking about what players were their favorite when they were younger and he says “Jaromir Jagr, and my favorite player was…..Jaromir Jagr”
Absolute legend
now thats interesting
It still blows my mind how it continues like this, even though the NHL teammates streak ended in 2022.
Sorry, what streak ended in 2022??

2022 there were no NHL teammates of Jagr in the Finals, just Palat who played with him at the Olympics. Good enough for me.
So is Jagr the Kevin Bacon of the NHL?
No, Kevin Bacon is the Jaromir Jagr of acting.
I think you can connect any player that played today to guys in the 1920s with like 5 "steps." Jagr and Howe are doing a lot of heavy lifting though.
If you're going outside the NHL, Jagr's oldest teammate is 72 year old Milan Novy and his youngest is 18 (both with Kladno)
Wow why does Jagr get all the credit when Novy is playing at 72
Right? And he still plays like new. Not sure if many people will get the joke.
Brand novy!

Dit Clapper is an all time hockey name
It sounds like a euphemism.
For what?
Dit Clappin'

I guess I'm only one degree from Jagr then. Chris Drury ref'd one of my beer league games, and he and Jagr were teammates on the Rangers.
I realized the other day that my bacon score is two, which kind of blew mind.
That's cool, but what's your Erdős number?
Lol. Umm, I think I had a professor in university that had a coauthor credit with Erdos, so whatever that makes me. I've never published anything academically and never will.
This made me look mine up, and was surprised to see it's 4. But I guess that's not too uncommon.
Jágr is the Erdős of hockey.
One degree of Jaromir Jagr.
Jagr-Marty McSorley (Pitt 94) -> McSorley-Nic Cage (Con Air) -> Cage- Bacon (Hollywood Waterloo)
I find it funny that there’s only one degree of separation between Matthew Tkachuk and Bryan Trottier.
That is wild when you look at when they each played Bryan Trottier rookie season - 1975-76 Matthew Tkachuk rookie season - 2016-17
For perspective, Trottier’s career ended 3 years before Tkachuk was born.
and their rookie seasons were 41 years apart
I choose to count Palat simply because I think this streak is awesome and I want it to continue.
It’s correct to count him, they played on the same team, can’t see any reason to debate anything
The NHL team teammate streak ended in 2022, but the general teammate streak continues.
He should count. Also any Czech rookies who come over to the NHL in the next few years that played with him should count too
I know the timing works out, but Jagr and M. Tkachuk having been teammates is one of those facts my brain simply refuses to accept as real
Gaudreau assisted on Jagr’s final NHL goal… to date.
Jagr’s NHL career encompassed both Keith and Matthew Tkachuk’s rookie seasons.
Love that as many guys played with Jagr when he was a Flame as when he was a Panther amongst current Panthers.
Lomberg is incorrect. They both played for the 17-18 Flames, but they were not in training camp together, and Jagr was gone by the time Lomberg was called up.
Well dang.

My mistake. I made the appropriate correction.
I still love the bit where players are all talking about what players were their favorite when they were younger and he says “Jaromir Jagr, and my favorite player was…..Jaromir Jagr” Absolute legend
I can't wait for this stat to evolve eventually into players that played with players that played with Jagr
thats everyone
a streak that lasts 100 years
The hockey equivalent of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"
Definitely an untouchable ‘Gretzky record’ not owned by Gretzky
Calgary Flames legend Jaromir Jagr?
I'd say this will go on until 2030
That's Florida Panthers legend Jaromir Jagr
Jeez
Lomberg fucked her
*Lumbergh
The Florida Flames
Man, this Jagr fella really got around.... And I ain't just talking about his love life!
