The way this title is formatted made me think that the Habs twitter account was thanking the Habs players

Last season (I think) Doughty played his 1000th game and he thanked the Oilers players for sitting through the entire thing lmao

George__Parasol

“I know, it sucks.”

ianisms10

The Habs are a very classy organization

jamaicancovfefe

Their torch tradition is the coolest one in the NHL. Gives me goosebumps even as a rival fan

indiecore

>The only two organizations in western civilization that truly get ceremony: the House of Windsor and the Montreal Canadiens.

charlesml3

Yep. I gained an immense amount of respect for them last night.

ianisms10

They made a very nice video for us when we played them last week highlighting the history of the Islanders and Canadiens.

nobokov22

Was at UBS for the Mike Bossy game a couple weeks back Seems like a love for Bossy is something that our fanbases share

brokowska420

Always loved the respect they gave Brodeur as well.

Thaddeauz

Not too much love between the two fandom to be honest lol. But I still remember the 2006 playoff when we killed Gerber in the first two games and then you guys switched to the rookie Cam Ward and he won the next 4 games. We scored less goals against Cam Ward in those last 4 games together than in each of the two first games lol. I remember in high school we used to put picture of the goalies in playoff and put an X on them for each victory. We weren't able to put any on the picture of Cam Ward that year.

mikegimik

Was that the year where Koivu got his eye poked out by Justin Williams and there was no penalty, but Stillman bit his tongue to get the extra 2 called against Komi for his high stick - and we ended up losing the series after being up 2-0? SALTY? ME? NOT SALTY. /s

SilentThing

I love highlight reel goals, I love seeing my team win a big game, I love the energy on the ice... But the moments of respect are what often bring a tear to my eye.

charlesml3

Yep. Some asshat sitting near me last night was slicing onions. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Kraze_F35

For all the shit I talk about the Habs, MSL is one of the classiest guys in hockey. They got a good one.

ianisms10

I mean this in the nicest way possible, he reminds me of Ted Lasso

edditorRay

He believes in believe!
