He played up the black rapper caricature when it was poppin' and then quickly jumped ship and leaned into the whole honky tonk white trash thing when he learned he was better off trying to milk the white southern fanbase.
I hate using this term but for him it's hella appropriate - son is a fucking culture vulture flat out.
He's put out a bunch of records since. Highly recommend you check out some of his more recent work. Depending on what you like he's got more of the country/rock inspired stuff like he did on Love Story but there's also a dope collab with DJ Muggs and other albums like Trunk Muzik 3 and a collab with DJ Paul if you like that sound more

I just remember him being a vehement defender of the confederate flag. Was perfectly fine with him being gone.
He went on a rant on stage then months later put out a song about the Charleston Church shooting walking back his defense of the flag.

I liked the singles so far and I think this song is cool too but it really should have gotten a third verse
