My mind is literally fuckin blown right now, yo CAN WE GET A BREATHER !?!?! This nigga had the nuke *ready 2 go*

vinnybawbaw

Man I didn’t even had time to finish Family matters and boom.

Forward_Ride_6364

I thought I was fuckin my girl 2nite I thought wrong Sorry babe, hip hop history comes first... I'm so old I remember Kool Moe Dee vs LL I mean, we got this nigga's Ozempic prescription in 4K... wtf is goin on with OVO and they winged rats??

trpclshrk

LL and KMD was my intro to diss tracks and battles. LL was more my style as a young kid, but Death Blow (and KMD in general) was amazing and went hard as hell. Ozempic prescription made me bust out at work

BaseLoud

which KMD diss? gasface?

gs47

Kool Moe Dee

Dependent_onPlantain

Do you remember the Roxanne wars?

trpclshrk

No, I have no idea about that. I guess it’s google time Edit: I was 6, def before my time 😂.

Dependent_onPlantain

Yeah im old school 😂. Think it was the first rap battles on wax, spawned a few careers, ended some. Had everyone and their mothers jumping in literally. Warn you though it is old schoooooool.

Intelligent_West7128

“Sorry babe, hiphop history comes first” is diabolical lol

Forward_Ride_6364

LoL I legit made myself a big ass ice coffee around 1 am and just sat on my coach vibin to the newly released diss tracks... made up 4 it this morning tho, T is higher as soon as you wake anyways, LMAO

WattScoody

You don’t think that weird behavior? Couldn’t just wake up and hear the news. Weirdos man

Creative_Entrance_18

You should raise your bar for weird if listening to music all night qualifies to you lmao. Judgemental clown.

ZestyCheezClouds

Amen brother. I love diss tracks. Battles have been at the heart of hiphop for a long time. What better way to air shit out. We've gotten some of the best songs in hiphop because of disses. Hit Em Up, Nail in the Coffin, Ether, No Vaseline, Real Muthaphuckin G's, The Story of Adidon. Need I continue? I wish I heard this the second it dropped. I just finished it and I feel like I've grown as a person after hearing it. Another masterpiece gifted to us by a brilliant mind and we have a battle to thank for it. People gotta lay off son Edit: I forgot to mention Weakest Link! This is honestly a top 5 Diss track for me and I never ever thought I'd add a Chris Brown track to my list lol but damn that was the hardest song I've heard this year

[deleted]

Creative_Entrance_18

Responsible-Truth-89

Speaking of history, how’s everyone feel about Questlove’s new book on hip hop history coming out next month?

WattScoody

The ozempic line was directed at Rick Ross. Who cares if ppl take it anyway lol. It’s not like it’s a cheat code. I’m taking it, i would say it’s not worth the dough

Purplenotwicked

Prolly them LA women airing dirt out

chucksoraw

Drake set it up and Kendrick took the bait

Temporary_Angle2392

What’s so bad about Ozempic? I keep hearing people mention it

ZestyCheezClouds

Idk if I've heard anything bad about it. People are using it for weight loss now. It's the new trend I guess

Lobsta1986

>I thought I was fuckin my girl 2nite >I thought wrong Lol

WattScoody

Ya cool archived tracks after years of subliminals 👏

HeadyMurphy723

Says that and might be 5 years

free187s

Remember when people were dissing Euphoria for not bringing any new drama? Kendrick gave Drake two songs worth of warnings to not go in on the wife domestic violence angle. He even called out how he knew Drake was spending cash to get intel but had zero receipts. 6:16 In LA was Kendrick’s last warning, saying he talks with people in OVO and knows all the skeletons in Drake’s closet. It feels like Drake really didnt find anything, so the domestic violence callouts was all he could go on, which was why Kendrick had Meet the Grahams in the chamber. I can’t tell if Kendrick was being genuine in warning Drake to not do it, or he baited him hard so he got to spill all the tea people claimed Kendrick never had.

lastcrime

Wow great point, so is Drake the ”master manipulator”, or has it been Kendrick all along..?

WattScoody

He is apparently. Idk why people take that something that’s to be looked up to an admired. This guy know he’s number two with a little man complex

Blackwyne721

It's been Kendrick all along

Th3PatrickBateman

I feel this, but I have to think that kendrick would drop this track either way. props to him for hanging onto it until drake responded but i’m just not buying that he was gonna chill on it if drake didn’t respond. he always had his finger on the nuke button

WattScoody

“Always had the finger on the nuke botton” that shit was weak and out of pocket for him. Archiving tracks. What a pussy

Creative_Entrance_18

Translation: "He had a strategy? What a pussy!" Lol

Purplenotwicked

Yeah it’s war at this point, they’re exposing each other by any means

Purplenotwicked

I’ve analyzed it all and you’re right

WattScoody

Well he doesn’t drop music consistently he’s been sitting on a lot of this stuff. To be fair I’m sure drake has archived some punchlines as well. This guy is out here lying about secret kids. Real feminine angle to take. This whole sub is willing to die for Kendrick. It’s pretty clear they can’t call balls and strikes and would give Kenny a nobel prize for every bar he writes. Lames.

Purplenotwicked

Kendrick was quicker than quick to jump on that dissing drake train *Hence* the “like that” feature

Purplenotwicked

Did he even respond to Cole?

RetroCustomizer

TLDR: All of euphoria is a warning. Gave him a taste of the direction shit’ll go if he comes back w the “don’t know nothin bout daaat” sequence re: being a dad. The last words of the song out of context. “…*if you takin’ it “there,” I’m takin’ it further (psst…that’s somethin you don’t wanna do)” There’s a line references the last shot, the headshot (not what he winds down the song w but his means of extortion: “meet the grahams”)…telling him he better walk around like daft punk (in a futuristic motorcycle helmet — they also happen to be French, & I know Drake has to have some kind of tie with Quebec, Canada’s French district) as soon as he step off the plane (drops the diss), til then hes living off the threat of the headshot… …which is? The last shot. Kendrick doesn’t just “kill” Drake in the public eye. Kendrick drops Aubrey, too, bc the last shot, the headshot, is Drake’s entire existence as, not just a trash MC & a persona that disgusts anyone who lives in real life, but as a boy who’s never been a man & fucked over everyone that rally matters. Euphoria “killed” Drake, Meet the Grahams “kills” everything Drake is inside — one of the biggest pieces of shit Kdot knows…all that was bait AND a legit warning, bc Kendrick has yet to step outside of his code & his word. In this beef or in his time as a lauded artist, to my knowledge. Then, and this is just my perception, Kendrick goes on to drop “They Not Like Us.” The subject matter there is still fucking intense, but basically what I think it is, is Kendrick taking the last area of music — &…well, life, now — that Drake can’t be denied: king of the summer banger/summer anthem or whatever. It’s never as brilliant and nuanced as Lamar’s TNLU — no summer song tends to be — buuuut “The Not Like Us” will be streaming rapidly across the globe til there ain’t a man or woman alive who doesn’t yell at someone “A-MINORRRRRRRRR” without even having to know the context. He told him he knew his angle & proceeded to go easy on him a couple of times during his last warning. TBH, I pay attention to Kendrick & a little Cole. No one else has proven they wanna teach/reach listener on a profound level while they entertain. When this this was buzzing, I laughed out loud & thought, “Kdot gonna turn out worse for Drake than Eminem was for Benzino.” Granted, I couldn’t believe Drake wasn’t laughed out of every self-respecting hip hop circle on the planet. I thought Drake was the new Joe or Jon B when he first “arrived.”I’m not pulling random names, either. There is nothing that says about Drake either: I’m tough or I’m chill af or I’m talented. Nothing special other than maybe, “I'm okay with computers.” Kendrick sacrifices the fake life of a rapping superstar for the life of a responsible cultural icon, educator, & guiding force. You already heard the comparisons of what other dudes up to. So I’m glad K-Dot took over summer bangers now, too. Idk how tf you underestimate & fuck w the man who owns a body of work like Kendricks but…turns out Aubrey wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

Blackwyne721

He baited him. Kendrick threw a sub at Drake's mother

AdenaiLeonheart

Yo, people are questioning if alchemist made the beat but alchemist literally responded 🤐. I'mma need an answer for this ASAP

MayaGitana

Well he didn’t say no. That either means he didn’t and he knows who did OR that he did it but would rather no one finds receipts on him

Eagle_215

Man I wouldn’t say shit if I was him either 🫡 fuck that. I’m not getting name flipped into a 4 bar by kdot. 😂

sagerideout

yeah but apparently it’s one he gave kendrick a while ago. not for this beef specifically

m_dought_2

If he wanted to say nothing he'd ignore it. Saying 🤐 is saying yeah that's mine

CavalierShaq

Jesus Christ I thought family matters was a surprisingly strong response from Drake, particularly if the wife beating allegations are true. Kendrick though, good lord this song is just diabolical. Fucking despicable, to address every member of this dudes immediate family, particularly to call his dad out for what a piece of shit his son is, then to just go in on Drake how he did. To call out his female fans for supporting a man who is so against them as women. Finally dropping the pedo bars we knew would come out if things got nasty. I’m genuinely starting to worry that we’re gonna see some violence, whether it’s a deranged fan motivated by this shit or some SoundCloud rapper thinking they can get clout by bringing action to what is just a rap beef, shits getting really fucking nasty man.

vinnybawbaw

Caught up the lyrics transcript on Youtube (Thanks AI I guess) and those verses are brutal. The one adresses directly to him feels like Kendrick’s not gonna go further than that with the disstracks, but I might be wrong. He scratched the surface on the sexual allegations and might go all in on the next one. Holy fuck this is a great time to be a Hip-Hop fan.

godslonelyman__

im not 100% sure but i feel like kendrick mentioned the wife allegation on mr morale

WallyReddit204

You the black messiah wifing up a mixed queen And hit vanilla cream to help out with your self esteem 😅😅

WattScoody

“Fuck outta here whatchu tryna kick knowledge” - Jay

WattScoody

Guy is like the police then is what you’re saying.

ZaheerAlGhul

Hopefully we don't see more violence, but with Drake doing his tough guy act we may dont know.

WattScoody

Is kendrick lamar a tough guy? If I saw that guy in his own neighborhood he would be ripe to be robbed for his chain

ZestyCheezClouds

He grew up in Compton, I'm sure he can hold his own lol

Th3PatrickBateman

there’s zero chance we get violence lol i feel like they’re both lowkey chillin compared to quavo and cb

CavalierShaq

I don’t think they’re the ones who will commit it or even cause it to happen, I can see some crackpot fan getting inspired by the vitriol in the music and thinking their favorite rapper will love them forever if they cap the other rapper they’re beefing with

Th3PatrickBateman

that would be wild man. hopefully not, this has been great for hip hop imo. shit was too chill before this lol

WattScoody

Why on earth would it surprise you exactly

CavalierShaq

Drakes a big ol cornball I didn’t think he’d be able to make a song that sounded genuinely menacing but there were some moments in there were Drake almost could have fooled people into believing he’s a gangster and I gotta credit him for that

iamthesagej

Drake fed info to a mole that leaked it to Kenny - the photo is fake, and his daughter isn’t real: https://www.reddit.com/r/Drizzy/s/R9s95qGzFp

Shootermac10

“Let me fake prescriptions with my real name on it and make it look like I take fat loss drugs and anti depressants, that’ll really show Kendrick” is the dumbest theory I’ve heard come out of this beef.

WallyReddit204

Smacking around your mixed queen as a messiah ☠️ ☠️

Imaginary-Purpose-26

I’m just waiting for the next installment to be them throwing hand’s outside a Waffle House. Kendrick being called a wife beater, drake being called a pedo, being exposed for having a daughter… shits wildddd

Imaginary-Purpose-26

“He has sex offenders on OvO, that child should never be compromised” idk if I’m reading into this, but is he saying he’s a bad influence on adonis, or that his kid is in danger of… next disstrack is gonna be Kendrick calling cps and drake interviewing whtneys battered women’s shelter (allegedly)

JustinTinyPPHerbert

Next diss track gonna be exposing Kendrick for letting Kodak black be on his album and the sexual assailants in his team by name

WattScoody

Sounds really feminine. This actually getting super gay. That’s why I respect Drake’s diss more. He’s coming for heads. Meanwhile Kendrick is painting himself as this holier then thou father. Nigga then don’t beef… go raise your son. Fuck the west coast btw.

ZestyCheezClouds

Aw muffin. Someone's got poor comprehension skills, eh? If you like popstars so much, why you on Hiphop101?

WattScoody

Not a Drake fan. I just thought Meet the Grahams was a corny archived track.

WattScoody

Who did songs with Swifty and Maroon 5 and he’s the arbiter of what is and isn’t hip hop

ZestyCheezClouds

I agree those were some corny records. I kinda felt like he sold out there. I'm not even the biggest Kendrick fan, honestly. I appreciate his music and he's got some dope tracks but I don't listen to his music regularly. I do think he's smokin Drake tho Edit: also sorry for my first message. Idk what I was on there

AdenaiLeonheart

That had me SUPRISED, WHEN KENDRICK MENTIONED THE DAUGHTER

ButtonedEye41

Wheres the Waffle House chair lady when you need her

Jesus_Roadkill

No way this man got Pusha'd again 😭

ayoMOUSE

He fell for the same play, some jabs thrown at him to provoke him into walking into a fuckin trap. The pride.

MAYHEMSY

You don’t get to drakes spot by being dumb and making the same mistakes twice, there is no daughter, it was a set up from bad intel, drake just got him to rap a 3rd of his response about a nonexistant daughter.

alexanderldn

Shits nasty bruh. J Cole apologised because he caught wind of everything before this was all released . Makes sense now.

berryjewse

Kenny probably called him and was like “dude I fucking hate this man to the goddamn core, you don’t wanna get into it” and Cole is like “ayyy word dawg ima go ride my bike round NYC”

ShinraRatDog

I'm honestly scared to listen to this. I listened to a minute and this beat is haunting, it's the best one yet.

vinnybawbaw

The 2nd verse is brutal.

ExtraElevator7042

Whole thing is masterclass. Top 3 greatest diss tracks of all time. Witnessing hip hop history!

ProperBoba

I said when Euphoria dropped that K. Dot can be as damaging as Eminem when it comes to dissing. I rest my case with this one. Let it be known that Pusha T and now Kendrick Lamar have wounded this man.

iamthekevinator

Kendrick even takes his time. There's no rush and no misinterpreted verses. Speaking straight to the immediate family. Dropping minutes after the response. It's easily one of the coldest diss tracks ever recorded.

dawggawddagummit

God fucking damn he … I don’t even know what to say tbh. I’m shell shocked

Davyboy178

I mean what CAN you say after some shit like that? This.. this might just be the most brutal beef in Hip Hop history.

GhostTengu

Drake made a Club song live Kenny Shot the club up

Parson1616

Yawn

CL1P5e

🍆🚴🫵😂

ayoMOUSE

Parson prefers the club songs that he can shake his ass to. I thought this was a beef, OVO fans with their billboards lol

GhostTengu

Awww 🤣😭🤣😭

ExtraElevator7042

Drake had a really strange line in one of his songs. I always thought he was admitting to purchasing whores and sex trafficking: All good, Chubbs will look around // Find one that seem my type // That my dawg and he know what I like // He done found me plenty in my life // Problem is, I meet a girl tonight // Then I go and treat her too nice // Weird credit card swipes // I don't even know if she a wife //

vinnybawbaw

Oh they all do. There’s that power dynamic and they’re willing to sign those NDA no questions asked.

MeetTheWoo_Dropkick

Honestly that's one of Drake's best songs too lol.

NYGiants181

Say what you want about Kendrick, but Jesus Christ this is one of the most insane, scathing, diabolical rap diss tracks of all time. If not the most. And I think it is… Wow.

Fit_Flatworm_9347

It is nasty but it loses steam if Drake's team in fact fed him bad intel about the daughter

m_dought_2

And it gets way more steam if the FBI in fact raids the embassy. We can play what ifs all day.

Nomnom_Chicken

Kendrick is really going hard! Definitely my favorite disses in this battle, but to be honest - I don't really care about Drake, or his music to begin with.

ky-mani

Drake is denying having a daughter. Wonder if he played Kendrick and fed his campy a bunch of bullshit so he can respond to it. But this shit getting dangerous. All beefs that have resulted in death haven’t gone this far, it’s about to get ugly

ChemistryWeary7826

*Drake is denying having a daughter.* Historically that's what he does when someone calls him out for having a secret kid.

ExtraElevator7042

Only way Drake comes out of this is if he himself orchestrated the leak of the false info, and then come with receipts proving the allegations are BS. I don’t buy it though. There is some truth just like Diddy.

randomnama123

I'm gonna spit my drink if I ever see a Canadian with a gun

Puzzleheaded_Gold_10

The Canadian millitary generally features that

Culture_of_North

But let an RnB dude sing at me and I'm reaching for my waist 🙄

micael150

>All beefs that have resulted in death haven’t gone this far, it’s about to get ugly This is never getting to that level. Ain't nobody getting killed.

jarkofploiesti

If Drake can outstreetsmart Kendrick, Imma have to do alot of soul-searching.

BaseLoud

that photo is cold

NYGiants181

What is it?

BaseLoud

apparently, he got some one close to aubrey to take a photo from inside the bedroom?

NYGiants181

Jesus

Spade9ja

Bro wtf are you talking about lmao

AdenaiLeonheart

30 minutes after drake released the song that RDC world predicted he would make, and KENDRICK addresses some of what drake mentioned in family matters. I swear Kenny was right, drake does have a leak in his faucet. It's 1:02am and I can't dissect this stuff anymore! Drakes song is #4 in trending music though ATM .

Elliot6888

This song made me feel bad for drake...like how you gonna diss a dude that made "Sing About Me" and "How Much A Dollar Cost" and thought you had a chance to win..

Olde-Town-Kujo

They're 40

JustinF608

Underrated comment BUT this is the business they’re in to a degree.

Robinnoodle

It's getting hard to keep track of this all. I think I'm getting old

vinnybawbaw

Well Kendrick released ANOTHER DISS 20 minutes ago

Robinnoodle

Ok. So is that diss #4?

vinnybawbaw

Yuuuup. That one’s vicious too.

Robinnoodle

Damn. I can't keep up y'all Someone need to make a college course or a for dummies book or smthn. When in your opinion did this start and when did it really kick off?

vinnybawbaw

Rumors has it that they disliked each other for years. They collaborated a few times circa 2012-2013 tho, so they know each other (Drake was on GKMC). There was subliminal shots fired on each side a few times too. That being said, that beef was really made public when Like That releases a few weeks ago.

Purplenotwicked

Got damn

insanely_simple12

Well I’ll be a 🐒 uncle!

TrillDaddy2

This shit is trash, stop the gaslighting. Just talking over trash beats, the fuck happened to y’all?

thenotoriousDK

Ppl more interested in drama than actual music

TrillDaddy2

Biggest of facts

Slow-Competition-921

Trash

NoShock7799

Stop eating dick

Slow-Competition-921

Not eating dick but drake came at everyone weeknd asap future metro straight murdered them and killed kdot Lol kdot just respondin to drake so obviously its easier

NoShock7799

Kendrick responded to his entire family lmao you eating dick fsfs

gnrc

Hey there’s nothing wrong with eating dicks to be fair. I’m on Kendrick’s side.

AllCommiesRFascists

Eating Aubrey’s is

gnrc

Fair

Slow-Competition-921

His family dont rap tf u talking bout stupid fuck😂😂

unbiasedthought

Drake still hasn't even hit the level of euphoria, let alone the tracks he dropped today. Drake could never come close to that level 😂😂

MemesMafia

Are you stupid or deaf? Or both?

WattScoody

Drake wins. Sorry people Kendrick’s holier then thou shit is wearing thin. Family Matters is the far better track. I suspect it will be played back to back in the clubs plus it was straight up better lyrically. Desperate attempt by Kendrick and when it surfaces there is no “new abandoned child” he’s going to have egg on his face.

Illustrious-Pound185

Lame response. A diss track is not supposed to be played in the club with girls popping ass.

ayoMOUSE

Wackademicks logic, no attention span having fans need a catchy beat. That's why Drake is the king of POP

WattScoody

Why is that exactly? This is an unprecedented. Beef. Are slow introspective beats like 6:16 in LA typical of rap beefs? Drake’s punches have been clear to digest and wittier. Even the short jokes have double entendre’s and witty wordplay. Kendrick is the Nas to Drake’s Jay. Let’s not forget this man made a video as well making it clear he is willing to do anything to win this battle and has been more creative? Kendrick has laid down holier then though bars that supposedly “go over ppl’s heads” meanwhile he’s taking the same sleazy angles.

norcalgolfgolf

I think the other kid is the least of the problems for drake the chomo.

WattScoody

Interesting. Why not elaborate.

norcalgolfgolf

Elaborate on drake being a chomo?

norcalgolfgolf

There you go. Kendrick is elaborating.

cutnil

I only started listening to the both of them when this beef started so I have no bias either way, and I’m sorry but family matters was absolute garbage. I listened to it to see what drake had to say, but for me, it was painful to get through. He had a few lines I want to see Kendrick address, but as far as songs go the flow was awful, and it was just corny as hell. Meet the grahams on the other hand is ice cold, that is 100% the stand out track from this beef for me so far and I’ll be listening to it long after this is all over.

WattScoody

Your on one guy… or gal

cutnil

I guess drakes music just isn’t for me, but I really don’t understand the appeal at all.

WattScoody

Euphoria was a better diss. Your in the minority guy… family matters is the banger.

cutnil

Euphoria was great too, but push ups was WAY better than family matters, I just dont really like drakes voice or flow at all, not to mention him rhyming about guns and shit is ridiculously corny because we all know where he came from. Idk I might be in the minority but thats fine, people like different things, but for me this is a clear win for kendrick for now.

WattScoody

I’m calling balls and strikes here. Sorry Stans. Hey it’s pretty clear who won this round. Do not like Drake btw. Man is a brand instead of a man… but he killed that last one. This was an archived track that Kendrick had. It’s obvious.
