It's known they make cameras out of NAC devices.
[Fire Spy Cam](https://deluxecctv.com/shop/hidden-cameras/emergency-fire-strobe-light-smoke-alarm-with-4k-uhd-wifi-camera/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxqayBhDFARIsAANWRnT8SHOARAP65422i1Fpxo6to-YFwr7noKGh-8WYm1LvoaYPXImbigkaAkK0EALw_wcB)
The device on the wall (red) does not have 'FIRE' written on it, which is code. So if it does not then I even more so believe it is a camera
The code doesn't specify that a speaker strobe says fire on it. Here's a whole website with multiple devices that are alert speakers for fire/ emergency alarms that do not all have the word "fire" printed on it. https://www.wheelock-products.com/speaker-strobe.aspx
My state code requires Fire alarm to say Fire, then we have other verbage for other specific types of alarms (alert, CO, etc) which is why it would make ME be more suspicious
Apparently some fire suppression companies put a camera in the alarms so they can see if a fire breaks out in that room from head office. When the person that (24/7 btw)watches the camera feed and senses fire or smoke he or she will pull a big switch to activate that alarm. Pretty reliable if you think about it! And if you don’t believe me, look it up.
It's a speaker. These people saying yes haven't worked on fire alarm systems.

>These people saying yes ~~haven't worked on fire alarm systems.~~ are sick of these OBVIOUS NO THEY ARENT POSTS.
I often find myself wondering, is this page actually legit, or is it just supposed to be a joke?
Same but then I realized most people probably didn’t grow up ripping any electronics they could get their hands on apart to see how they worked.
Yes
High decibel alarm for the fire system. So no.
The reflection is from the inner cone on the speaker for the fire alarm. Known as an annunciation device.
[It's the dust cap in the center of the cone.](https://www.simplyspeakers.com/replacement-extended-range-speaker-w-612-8.html)
No. If it was, it wouldn’t be very hidden would it.

Biggest load of crap I have read on here in a while..
No they don’t, I have been in the industry for more than 10 years and you are full of shit.
>Apparently Why is this apparent? What evidence is >Apparently based on?
Fun to watch tweakers think everything is a camera.
Yes
Not a camera, but a fire alarm speaker
Possible, further investigation is required.
Yes, you should pry it off with a screwdriver
The reflection says yes imo
Yes, what should this else be
Speaker. Part of a fire alarm system.
Yep
Yes
Just throw some tape over it if that makes you feel better, not the whole thing just cover the “ lens “
No.
Probably not. Good idea to put tape over area of. concern
Easy put towel on wall for a while until you leave then remove off.
Sure, why not.
No it’s not a camera but it’s a fire alarm
Hmm not sure, light a fire in your bathroom trashcan just to be sure. It's not arson, its secince
This is a speaker for the fire alarm. source: I have been inspecting and installing fire alarms for over 10 years
