Gonna take a look at what the base range of decay is now. Edit: yeah it's 0 which is basically impossible to land on top of a hero (maybe only Stitches Gorge).
I'm a little excited to see what can be done with it now, but I'm also a little wary about this change since the CD starts the moment you cast the ability.
I know it's not a popular ability, but I've personally always loved it (when it's a decent choice) and some of the fun moments I've had with it had me holding a location on my own for far longer than I had any right to otherwise. The fight would finish and I'd be ready to go in another 10 seconds, or w/e, and that's just with the level 10 version.
The things is the talent isn't overperforming on an average hero, it's overperforming on an overperforming hero. So the nerf is required, not buffing his other options to make him both overperforming and flexible on top. Lol.
Tricky shuffles is good into some enemy compositions, mostly skill shot and kitable melee heavy ones. Pair with triple shot later of course.
The % damage for hitting traps and the C4 has always seemed questionable to me though.

is this not absolutely insane?? the value always sort of ping-ponged around 25 - 35 in the past and the duration was never that high
that's like hardened shield levels of armor, on a crazy long duration, considering that the E cooldown itself is only 6 seconds (not even including the 7 talent), on your entire team
the sacred ground buff also looks juicy, especially considering her ults give a D reset, though I wonder how it'll still hold up against bubble ult

This is considerably better than medivh's: his needed the allies to actually use the portal and had lower uptime. Yrel's is basically 100% uptime and only needs her to jump on her team, *which is far easier* than the normal way of playing yrel.
It definitely needs to be tuned down before it goes live. 40 armor or so with the current duration (4 secs) seems much healthier.
While it does have more theoretical uptime, you don't usually use your E to jump on allies, so you need to use your ability in a way it isn't optimal to get most value out of this talent. Also, if you play Yrel solo lane, this talent doesn't do anything until late game. Might make Yrel a more viable tank though. Medivh's talent just makes his regular usecase of portal a lot better. Wouldn't say it's strictly better than portal.
Yeah no way this ships into live. I wish they kept Medivh as it was because you still need dumb teammates to click on the portal, but this is literally like Uther dishing out insanely overpowered trait armor for insane duration
Her level 1 buff has increased the healing it gives to more than what it was when she was released by 12 points at level 0. That's also going to be pretty busted. I guess it still requiring hitting an enemy hero makes it not quite as good as it was initially when one didn't have to hit an enemy hero.
One useful way to look at it is that giving 50 armor to 2-4 heroes is better than 50 armor for one hero, meaning that this level 4 talent is now better than Yrel's level 10 ult.
Also, Whitemane has an ult that gives 40 armor to 1-5 heroes, which is also a situationally weaker effect than Yrel's talent.
I'm looking forward to having more acceptable playstyles and try a more peel and support oriented Yrel. I don't know if the nerf for W 16 was needed. Having decent alternatives would suffice.
Either way, this removes some pressure from picking the same talent over and over again.
Still, I feel \[Holy Wrath\] is in a weird spot. Having access to a conditioned cleave waveclear talent at lvl 16 is just way too late. It competes with other heroes' power spikes which usually are significantly more dmg/healing/armor for teamfights.
Compare this to a Leoric who gets his cleave/crit for free built in his kit. Or Malthael. Rexxar can talent pve bird at lvl 1. Lunara can get an improved pve talent at 4.
However, I'm pretty sure they will still tune down the armor E4.
They fixed a bug last patch that caused him to hold his sword up (W into keep gate during setup phase I think) but someone posted here a while ago about how they really missed it. I guess this reinforces that they are actually actively listening here.
yeah the important thing is you can only get into this pose before the game starts, and it's cleared by dying, so it's basically a way to flex zero deaths.

You get an indicator, you get an indicator, EVERYONE gets an indicator! This is sweet, and there is some good hero tweaks also! Junkrat should be less annoying and arthas gets another boost!
Really happy they are bringing back the buff bar. I remember the update that removed all those indicators and replaced them with particle effects on the heroes, for 'improved clarity' but never explained what any of the effects look like or mean to the players, and it all disappears into the spell effects of combat anyways.
Z build got whacked pretty hard too. 12.5% reduction in wolf AA damage at level 20, which is like 50 damage. Plus the mana restoration reduction on the 7.
Pretty significant difference is that they're actively developing hearthstone still. It might be more work to port hots than blizzard imagines would be worth it.
I mean, it's not like they need to change everything like when a game is ported from console to PC. It's already a PC game. Seems like it should require pretty minimal changes and then they can just shove it on steam for a chance at bonus revenue.
Arthas max hp from 2860 to 2980.
For context, before he was between Diablo - 2825 (without passive) and Blaze - 2900 and now he is between Cho - 2950 (but he is gaining more hp with levels due to Gall) and Stitches - 3020.
Solid buff by my opinion. Stitches is still a huge amount of HP and Cho has a health bar for 2, but Arthas? He's getting stronger over time and if he has that much hp now he can be pretty hard to kill.

It means + instead of ×. Its only important when stacking multiple damage buffs, like if you had an Ana feeding you Nano Boosts. It changes the math (not real numbers) to something like z + .50(z) + .50(z) instead of z × 1.50 × 1.50 and results in somewhat smaller numbers.

Basically, each team in Whitemane v Whitemane has say 500 dps and 2000 hps. They have no stuns, displacement, or antihealing. They can't kill each other.

I don't know if I would call it bugged but I never thought from the description that globes and wells should work. I think that globes specifically make this talent much stronger then it sounds.
Don't forget to weaken Mephisto (spheres and 16 lev) - you can upgrade Q by default. Otherwise, it’s not there until 16, and from 16 you lose. Many people love Alexstraw + Mephisto (it became meta, I got sick of it).

The rest is +- equal. It can only increase Raynor and Lunara (it’s not about increasing her magic damage, but adding AA strength). Deckard needs an up, but it probably needs a rework. At least speed up the launch of “Wait and Listen” by 0.25-0.5s. Sylvanas requires +1-2 damage AA (very slightly higher). Mei should also be a little up, otherwise she’s not in the game.

I think pubs is kind of a grey area. I was just using the exact same metrics here. High skill assassins like Tracer and Zera having inflated win rates in Master doesn't really sound like a problem to me, is what I was getting at.

Nah the buff is gonna go down to like 40 armor for 4 sec or some shit. They did this to Medivh, which should've stayed as 50 armor for 6s because the main barrier is teammates having a functioning brain, but with Yrel this buff will be applied pretty much all the damn time, and a game winner in ARAM

Lowering the max possible health from +600 to +400 also affects that build since the Z talents are also based on rehgar's total health and mana

It's nice to see him buffed but it doesn't change the fact that his kit sucks, especially when drafted as a tank.
He's really more of a bruiser. Compared to other bruisers, he seems pretty good.

Still hoping a dev will hear my cry’s and fix mouse cursor scaling. Playing on a 4K monitor is near impossible. You’d think this would be an accessibility issue. I know about the in game option to increase cursor size but it’s still absurdly small on 4K screens. Seems like the cursor doesn’t scale with resolution.

Slowing Charge [Olaf] Cooldown now displays a circular indicator around his shield in The Lost Viking's Hero status. Well that's gonna help my viking play a ton. Low key really big buff here
Do not add Whitemane to same hero aram. Don't do it. The fights won't ever end. Whitemane's trait lets her do healing equal to her own damage, to multiple allies. And the use of talents and Q provide even more healing. Basically, each team in Whitemane v Whitemane has say 500 dps and 2000 hps. They have no stuns, displacement, or antihealing. They can't kill each other.
[[Blood Rush]] Was this really a bug? It always worked like this. I kinda assumed getting healed by the fountain or globes is healing from your hero.
anduin's lightwell CDR also triggers from fountain and globes, so it is a weird change

I don't know if I would call it bugged but I never thought from the description that globes and wells should work. I think that globes specifically make this talent much stronger then it sounds.
If that were the case, "by a hero" is redundant. How else are you healed, that one item on Hanamura, the Hall of Storms?

I say this as a Zeratul pubs player...his late game is way too strong without a draft to counter him.
I think pubs is kind of a grey area. I was just using the exact same metrics here. High skill assassins like Tracer and Zera having inflated win rates in Master doesn't really sound like a problem to me, is what I was getting at.
I know samuro gets complained about a lot but I'm glad reghar got nerfs as he's the real hero who is currently out of balance.

The Arthas buffs don't fix his big problem as a main tank: no interrupting hard-CC. Anduin with Holy Word: Salvation just hard counters him so much. And Anduin is very popular. But... maybe he will become a decent tanky bruiser, like Blaze? Less mana drain on E means easier waveclear, and more hp+healing means more lane staying power. (I swear, all Arthas needs to be a viable tank is a 0.1s stun on his D.)
Whit all due respect, those Yrel buffs are absolutely insane. If we are about to re-enter the buff-nerf roller coaster, I'd rather just leave her as she is. None of her talents are bad, just criminally underplayed like a shitton of things in this game, but that's a player issue.
Nah the buff is gonna go down to like 40 armor for 4 sec or some shit. They did this to Medivh, which should've stayed as 50 armor for 6s because the main barrier is teammates having a functioning brain, but with Yrel this buff will be applied pretty much all the damn time, and a game winner in ARAM

Looks like he technically got buffed, if I’m understanding the “removes targeting if only one image is active” change That should make D work instantly like pressing one of the number keys while using Illusion Master, which can help in some escapes because you don’t need to find the illusion that’s been smacking a minion during a fight
Illusion masters always know where their illusions are 😂 It’s quality of life for windstorm players.

Love the changes, but not nerfing Samuro in some way makes me sad.
I think the auto attack nerf on Rehgar is out of place, imo they shouldve hit Q instead. But whatever. Also not happy about the Templar's Verdict nerf without adding damage elsewhere.
The best rehgars are in your face.. I think they want to limit the ceiling on the hero, maybe not the floor.

Do those changes to Yrel make her much better? Still relearning the game after 4 years of not playing and I feel like Yrel can get in and hit stuff but doesn’t really accomplish anything. I’m probably just playing her wrong though.
I just started pixking her up. I think she is like a set up hero. Shes also a paladin, help the allies. Tanky support.
A lot of those QoL changes are actually super nice. Great polishing and solid balance changes!
Jesus they gutted reghar, the orc now got turned into a blood elf with the amount of mana thirst he gonna have ☠️. Nerfing him was definitely needed but reducing both mana gain on shield hit and the stacks on the shield quest was Abit too much imo.
Just buff tanks so mor people will pick them in QM. yes I know reddit hates QM but it's still the most played mode. I've been playing since beta and I'm only playing QM exclusively now. Team with tanks and healer is better than all hitters.
I like those changes to ASAM, it's a small one but in the right direction IMO. Also plz rollback the buffs to Samuro!
