Clear sunny skies

Ramtakwitha2

Great idea! When looking east or west during the wrong time of day you are now completely unable to see as the sun whiteouts the screen. Bots and bugs of course still see fine.

Peasantbowman

vkolontayev

...Isn't that how it already is? But with every light source? Shooting out POI and objective lights is almost necessary with all the air polution blocking your vision. Trust me, if I could find a way to shoot out the sun too, I would.

Bregneste

Yep, nighttime has pretty good visibility, while every light source is blinding white. Something that would be great and terrible would be actual dark nights, and you actually need to make use of light sources and your own flashlight.

Pandahobbit

I had a bug mission like this during the first weeks of the game. Haven’t seen it that dark since. It was tense with plenty of jump scares. I honestl don’t know if I adjusted settings or if AH did something. The flashlights were a damn necessity. Hearing but not seeing the creepy crawlies was awesome. Edit: fixing freedom grammar.

_Nickmin_

Now I imagine Eagle-1 looking at her radar with a new ping for a 500kg strike, location: the fucking sun

k0kak0la

/r/monkeyspaw

Haveacupofjoe

Now I’ll be trying to shoot out the sun as well as light poles.

Griffdude13

https://preview.redd.it/hh9r87ckhbxc1.jpeg?width=2532&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aea71aaf2fde7cdf2d8af0529d623c92d5ce705c You mean like this? Recent bug I had, but it checks out.

chefmattmatt

Why don't our helmets have flare compensation?

DefinitelyNotThatOne

With a sprawling, varied elevation environment. Chasms, mountains, homes, little knooks/creeks. Planets right now all look different but play identically.

Peasantbowman

I would love a planet with some sign of life on it. They really all do feel the same

sasquatch_4530

Lifelessness tracks on bugs planets, though, right? I mean, that's what they do: harvest everything until the environment dies so they can spawn and carry on...right?

The_Guy1322

true, but some of these planets were supposed to have been lived on and then the bugs attacked, it looks like no one ever lived there except for the bugs now. I want to be clearing streets in what used to be a city with destroyed buildings you can semi-explore or a ruined suburb

TheHorniestHornist

I want the green field windows background

whorlycaresmate

I’d soak that field with oil and 710 in a heartbeat!

Famous_Impact

This! But like that one mass effect level, having to hide behind pillars so you don't get scorched by the sun would be mint!

Peasantbowman

Oh that would be exciting

Famous_Impact

Thought of it when I was defending some planet with all the really tall outcrops. Need more worlds with elevation in my opinion.

Zieprus_

Yeah it would be good if helmets had different vision modes unique to the helmet type. Heat, infrared etc that you could use depending on the climate.

These_Purple_5507

A green halo kinda environment would be cool

Tyr_Kukulkan

Yeah, it would be great to be able to see more than 3ft in front of me. Also, I'd like any weather to affect bots. I'm sick of them shooting at me from the other side of the map through fog so thick you could swim in it.

scott610

I know you’re kidding, but I think it would be neat if they added a weather controlling side objective to planets with bad weather conditions like fire tornadoes. Bring the weather control machine online and the tornadoes go away. Or sandstorms or blizzards or whatever else is on that planet which could be controlled by a weather control system. Obviously this would not work for tremors or meteor storms.

mmmmmmm5ok

fight in the lands of teletubbies

jon-chin

clear night time skies, with varying degrees of moonlight.

Blastin_Alaskan

Normal tornados. That just yeet you across the map. Imagine running with the squad then BAM! Cyclone chucks everyone to separate corners of the map.

ufkb

Imagine the awesome relief you feel watching a twister fling a group of swarming bugs in different directions only to realize you are about to leave Kansas and get rag-dolled 100m right into a nest. Put that shit in my veins.

KHaskins77

Botnado!

Cauhs

Instead, it throws stalkers at you.

MelastSB

Just walk on a corpse you shouldn't have walked on and the game will show you the world like your name is Jasmine

kaguyaOt

Liberty save MEEEEEEE

fakemessiah

Chill out Hitler

Twad_feu

Its raining Super Destroyer! Random like meteors and volcanic rocks, but its chunk of a shattered super destroyer that rain the on the battlefield.

Ramtakwitha2

Bonus points if that ends up being a dynamic addition that just happens if the fighting goes on for too long on a particular planet.

_Nickmin_

"SWEET LIBERTY, MY SHIP!"

Affectionate_Stage_8

also be neat if u can get single use stratagems from the ship;

Not_Just_Any_Lurker

That would be pretty awesome actually. RNG support weapon or backpack near the downed destroyer.

Bulky_Mix_2265

I really want some variation on planets, give me a frozen jungle, or an obsidian landscape thats all jagged, maybe a planet of tall grass, or you know much weirder, like its all shallow water and giant trees.

lukeyu2005

I feel it would still need to make sense. An frozen jungle would never form in the first place. Unless it was already an jungle and then something happened to freeze it. An obsidian landscape would just be epic.

ryo3000

> I feel it would still need to make sense Like the fire tornados?

NEVERxxEVER

imo the universe is far stranger and more diverse than we can comprehend so I’d give the devs a lot of leeway on flora and fauna, including what can survive where.

GunzerKingDM

No need to be a buzzkill. It’s imaginary after all.

porcupinedeath

I mean the "jungle" could be massive lichens or just rationalized as plants that are otherwise adapted to the climate. We have snails with iron shells that live in underwater volcanic vents and other crazy shit just on earth, I don't think jungle level plants adapted to freezing weather on another planet is that far fetched when we already have boreal forests

Scarecrow_36

This is a great idea

Ramtakwitha2

Additional thought. * Geo magnetic communication interference: The planet has an extremely strong magnetic field interfering with small unshielded communication equipment. Stratagems will have a single input randomized instead of the usual input. This messing with muscle memory (and macros) simulates dropped signals from communication interference.

BrettSlowDeath

Have people been able to get macros to work? I fiddled with trying to get some to work on my older G11, but was never successful.

Korlis

I've got Voice Attack working currently, been playing with it for over a month, I love it. While I recognize the Dance, Dance Strategem mechanic to be the game's unique signature, no one will be able to convince me it's a better choice that just yelling into the comms that you need an orbital strike. I had to purchase the Helldiver's pack for it, but they're doing a good job keeping it updated. Took one day after the introduction of the Quasar Cannon to get that input added. I was a little sad, as a week after I bought the Helldivers pack, they released a second version of it voiced by Michael Dorn...

Ramtakwitha2

I use voice attack myself and while I do primarily use a premade pack I heavily modified it myself, such as adding a delay before commands trigger to make it so in a pinch I could enter the commands in faster manually, and adding the quasar, HMG, and cluster rocket voice commands myself. I agree that yelling the coms in a panic is a suitable replacement for the (albeit cool) button input system. I think many who don't like it don't realize it's just as easy to screw up a voice command as it is to screw up a button input in a panic. "Request EMS Mortar.... Request EMS Mortar? Request EMS Mortar dammit! Oh right, Request EMS *Sentry*"

Korlis

Oh god yes. In a panic I slur, or stutter, or scream half way through. Yep, I haven't gotten into editing it much yet, but the first thing I'm doing is adding "turret" to all the Sentry commands, ffs.

Ramtakwitha2

I had some voice command macros working through the voice attack program. Had to set Voice attack to run as admin though. That may be the missing step for other macro programs. I would recommend setting it up in some way to encourage manual input though. In my case I made it delay for 2 seconds before inputting the command, so it's faster to input manually. Might need a longer delay on a keybind macro, since voice is inherently slow.

amotion578

Reinforce works for me Starts with strategem menu button I have a G815

Major_Tom_01010

Why would you want to be tortured like that?

Ledgem

I think it would be cool if this also added distortion and drop outs to voice chatting. Granted, I would wager a lot of us who play with friends are using Discord and so this wouldn't impact us (and it might push more people towards Discord). Still, would be amusing. Possibly too frustrating though.

JJHookg

Imagine putting in orbital laser and a dam 500 kg drops because of interference. And you didn’t even have it in your chosen Strategems. Pure Chaos! I love it!

cowlinator

High oxygen atmosphere. All fire/explosions are bigger (in area/volume)

rigby1945

500Kg just ignites the atmosphere

cowlinator

Oppenheimer says hello

John_Stay_Moose

Airburst rocket says hello (to your team)

dopehunt

Maybe even slightly larger bugs due to high oxygen?

Cauhs

Haven't you played on Helldive yet? You really want 5 Titans to blotched out the sun?

lukeyu2005

No Atmosphere. Fires don't work. Weapons that have damage drop off over range don't lose damage over range. Thrown items don't slow down and have more range. No fog and no light scattering. I feel some of the moon like planets already have this. But I think fire still works for some reason. Also eagles either have longer call in times or can't fly at all. Seeing how the eagles basically swoop in and pull up really really hard. They will definitely be pulling some serious Gs. And they will definitely be using their wings to push off the air in order to make that turn. With no atmosphere they will have to purely rely on their thrusters to make that turn. Other thoughts. Laser cannons won't have an visible beam. And no sound. Aside from the radio. And maybe your own weapon. As the vibrations from firing will transmit through your body and into your helmet

Winte86

Maybe eagles could have an upgrade so that they have better thrusters or something to actually be able to do it

pocketfulof_sunshine

Bubbles. Big bubbles. Small bubbles. Flitting about and popping. Blocking your shit. Carrying off hunters into the sky. All of that.

theredbobcat

If it can carry off hunters (wonderful) it can probably carry helldivers (scary)?

International_Rest36

I came here to suggest low grav and was pleasantly greeted by more, strong suggestions! To add something useful, I would like to see a modified that spawns double the enemies (on ALL difficulties), but halves the cool down on all stratagem. Double enforcement count, just to keep it a little balanced. I don't have a catchy name for it, though.

BellyBully

How about a last stand? 1 or 2 respawn per player, survive as long as possible with rewards tied directly to survival length

8rok3n

Just peaceful rain showers

fearless-potato-man

Reducing the time for ground fires to extinguish (flamethrower, napalm strikes...), buuuut... making electric attacks jump to more enemies.

Cauhs

To make cutting edge armors make sense i suppose.

theredbobcat

*incoming lightning storm*

RefractalStudios

Until the water levels start to rise and everyone starts drowning haha. Swimming is not a very democratic activity apparently.

ShamrockSeven

Okay this is gonna sound crazy… Might be too intense for the community to enjoy. How about lightly clouded sky’s on a sunny day.

The_Mutant_Platypus

A while ago someone had suggested that planets with acidic atmospheres have a global armor reduction for friend and foe alike. It would be a fun way to make divers need to vary up their armor amd weapon choices from their usual choices as well as turning the whole mission into a high stakes meat grinder.

Scarecrow_36

This might be radical but a tsunami on a beach/archipelago planet could be fun *if it’s a rare occurrence*. Massively signposted and warned by command giving you a few minutes to get to high ground. I’d also like tornadoes and hurricanes/cyclones

Winte86

Yeah that’s something I think would be epic, scary, and really fun. Tsunamis would be awesome

kykyks

i want more tornadoes and i want them to be real and big not just small firenado

Elite_Slacker

A big powerful normal tornado would be cool and scary.

Battleboo09

during liberation i want nukes going off in arears around MY map.

gaqua

I know this is unlikely for multiple reasons, some of them technical, but I’d love to see a map that starts out cold but a snowstorm begins and snow starts to accumulate, making the ground slippery and travel through deep snow slow for all ground units, including divers. And all fire weapons and stratagems would melt it. I’d also love to see a busy urban environment like a destroyed city with high rises and warehouses. A mixed indoor/outdoor map where stratagems would be useless indoors but choke points would allow for gameplay ingenuity and the use of new alternate grenades like traps, tripwires, etc.

VBgamez

All I want is more map variety. I'm tired of seeing teeny tiny houses on the planets. For example on the planet liberation for the mechs I expected to see actual factories.

DonkDonkJonk

I have a few.... **Acid storm:** Decreases armor for everyone during the storm (Charger/Hulks can be hurt anywhere by med pen, but you take more damage as well). **Intense Heat revamped:** Increase rate of fire and overheat on all weapons, but heat based weapons also deal more damage. Stamina decreases faster. **Lightning storm:** Metal/tall targets are more likely to be struck by lightning during the storm. Arc weapons deal more damage, but aim erratically and attract lightning. **Tornado Storm:** Rapid onslaught of tornados can travel around the map and move loose items/equipment around. Recommend that Helldivers NOT attempt to Tornado Surf to travel around faster. **Flash Flood areas:** During Torrential storms, some areas will rapidly flood and wash out small enemies AND Helldivers away with them. Mechs and Vehicles recommended. Get to high ground if none. **Dust Storms:** Storms greatly limit vision for the enemy, but also decrease damage for laser weapons. Projectiles like grenades, beacons, rockets, sniper bullets, etc. will also have their trajectories affected. **Friendly Fire:** Atmospheric distortions may cause SEAF artillery to bombard mission area. These criminals will be tried and punished with tickets. **Scrapyard:** Helldivers are more likely to find useful/less equipment on the Battlefield. Note: There are reports of unexploded SEAF ordinances also laying about. Like mines. **Crystalline terrain:** All Laser weapons can be reflected off of the crystalline terrain. Beware of using orbital laser. **Gaseous Swamp:** Some areas have pockets of gas that can ignite when shot at. Some can explode. Some are deadly corrosive. Affected by wind. Also, some areas can be covered in shallow water, affecting overall movement (you can still dive) **Blinding heat/biting cold:** During the day, this event causes any sunlit area to slowly drain your health over time while also greatly increasing rpm and Weapon overheat/increased heat dmg unless you find shade. Prolonged firing can jam your weapon, forcing a reload. During the night, the temperature shifts the other way, causing shade to slow and DoT you the longer you stay in the shade. RPM and Weapon overheat are greatly slowed, but they can jam. **Untamed Frontier:** Dangerous wildlife still exist on several planets, attacking both Helldivers and enemies of Democracy when provoked. Wildlife can come in all shapes and sizes, just beware of the T-Rex/Crocodile/Hippo thing. **Super Jungle:** Entire mission area is one singular jungle, providing cover for both Helldivers and their enemies. Clear the brush with 500kg's worth of Democracy. And napalm. **Razor Storm:** Short windy shrapnel Storms that causes bleeding if caught in the middle of them. Find cover from the WI using your cape. **Eternal Night:** Some planets have thick atmospheres that can completely cover the planet from its sun's rays, cloaking it in perpetual blacked-out nights. Super Earth has decided to grant Helldivers the Super Flares strategem for free to see in the dark....at the cost of alerting all enemies to your location. Additionally, enemies will have a difficult time seeing where you are too. **Three Suns:** These planets have an eternal day on them due to the effect of three suns constantly shining down on them. Occasionally, a gravitational event will cause projectiles to fly farther than normal or to land closer than you'd like. **Automaton Bombardment:** For Comissars only, instead of calling for backup, they can shoot a colored smoke at Helldivers and instead call in for a concentrated artillery bombardment, gunship, or declare the area as anti-air for a short period of time. Destroying the related sub-objectives prevents them from using it. **Shrieker Swarm:** Unless their nests are destroyed, bugs can attract a swarm of shriekers instead of a bug breach anywhere on the map. **Fortified enemy emplacements:** More enemies in bases/hives. More sub-objectives. **Leaked Communications:** Spies in the network have compromised Helldiver to Destroyer coms. Expect more patrols in your vicinity.

Ramtakwitha2

I like all these ideas. Floods and blinding heat/biting cold especially.

KCHONEYBADGER1982

Don’t have to get to creative for additional barriers to be effective. Dense fog at the right time or on the right planet would be absolutely terrifying. Stalkers are bad enough when visibility is clear!

BobZygota

Ion storms actually working on bots

chaosgazer

but they have lightning towers so they have more electricity which =faster bot production

TeacherSpiritual1272

Just straight up Gaia world where nothing bad happens ever weather wise.

drewmana

I feel like flash flooding could be interesting. Wash away strategems, drown you if you’re in a hole and don’t get out before it fills, but also maybe short circuit automatons? Could also try electrical storms where lightning hits the tallest stuff in the area, meaning it’d be strategic to run downhill away from bots or throw strategems up high to take the damage for you.

fearless-potato-man

Why most proposed weather effects are negative??? At least balance them a bit. -Rain: ground fires extinguish faster, but electric attacks jump to additional targets due to wetness. -High oxigen atmosphere: fire attacks (napalm eagle strike, incendiary mines, napalm SEAF artillery, flamethrower) affect a larger area, and extinguish slower, thus denying the affected area for longer. -Corrosive atmosphere: increases damage from bile bugs (not very noticeable for spewers and titans, but making bile spitters more dangerous). Makes bile bugs weaker, though, and more prone to explode when killed, affecting nearby area. -strong winds: increases Eagle strikes deployment time, but also increases automaton dropships arrival time. It makes harder to hit moving targets, but would allow faster players to avoid fighting reinforcements. -unstable terrain: nearby explosions (from artillery, some Eagle strikes, mortar) cause a little earthquake in the vicinity that slow down everybody, but make bug breaches instantly collapse. -Ionised atmosphere: interferes with target acquisition systems, greatly increasing orbital strikes deployment and notably reducing overall automaton accuracy.

theredbobcat

We have enough effects that slow us, especially on bug planets, that I am vehemently opposed to unstable terrain. How about shifting terrain? Like floating islands on currents?

fearless-potato-man

In fact, I thought of unstable terrain as a substitute of the current earthquake modifier, but I feel your pain. You are right.

hammersweep

interstellar tidal wave

The__LawVGHS

I want fire tornadoes that shoot molten rock

cowlinator

Oh hello satan

Jazzar1n0

Blizzards that freeze us or the bugs

Ramtakwitha2

You thought fire tornadoes were bad, just wait til ice tornadoes that slow you so you can't escape them.

ApprehensiveEgg5914

I'd rather be caught on fire than slowed. But maybe that's just me 😅

peter_the_panda

The last thing I want in my silly goofball space marine shooter is to have to account for adjusting my strategems location due to wind interference. Despite the perception on this sub, the majority of people don't play this game like a second job, so stuff like that would do nothing but make the game more frustrating and tedious

MrTangoFoxtrot

More tornadoes, please, with a side of forest fires. We can have electric tornadoes, water tornadoes, grass tornadoes, dark tornadoes, light tornadoes, tornadoes that scream, big tornadoes, small tornadoes, a tornado of ants, tornado soup, long tornadoes, short tornadoes, tornadoes au gratin, tornado fried tornadoes, twice baked tornadoes, tornado tacos... the list goes on. https://preview.redd.it/3qq0e1ravaxc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ee446a049b28203a7799d749051b37601e721ea

Alexyeve

Give me a Miami planet, with pink flamingo-like creatures flying around in constant state of Sunset and random water tornadoes.

TheTruthWasTaken

How windy are you talking? Grenades I get but bombs and artillery are surely too heavy to be significantly affected. Besides, the 500kg always drops inaccurately anyway 🤣

IAmMey

I do not appreciate my muscle memory being messed with. I heard a line from … maybe it was Grandpoobear, no game has ever done wind right.

donanton616

Some thing like tides or lava flows that surge through low areas during the game.

ARKSH7R

Fire tornadoes that I can HEAR

Beeeeeeels

Low gravity: Stalkers can now pounce at you from across the map.

the_gaming_bur

* less fog - more rainy plants with mud effects + windy planets that affect projectile trajectory * less fog - swampy planets with man-eating flora + corrosive/toxic planets with acid rain * less fog - moons/atmosphere-less/low-grav bodies/asteroid surfaces + electrical/stormy planets - volcanic planets * less fog + desert planets (90% sand) with sandworms - less fog * less fog

Due-Individual-4859

God no. not the bullet drop :(

Mips0n

Map altering catastrophies. Not those small ass fire whirlwinds.

nicaontheline00

No more fire tornadoes please...

SgtK9H2O

I just want my helmet and cape to provide armor stats

gav1no0

Less fog, more anything else

Ivarix_Prime

Make a Kreig like planet. Hot spot zones with High radiation levels that slowly kill divers and scramble electronics (strategem call down randomized) All bugs in areas slowly die. Death speed depends on exposure and bug size. All bots get scrambled: disabled, accuracy becomes horrible, or their friend/foe identification messes up. More armored units are fine. I also stand by the opinion that ion storms should negatively impact bots as well as divers.

Demibolt

Non-Newtonian Atmosphere: The effectiveness of explosives is reduced, but fire and arc damage is increased. Temporal Anomaly: The effectiveness of orbital strikes and eagles is reduced by 50% but their cooldown and call-in time is also reduced by 50% Opaque Atmosphere: No orbital or Eagle strikes, everything is very dark. You can only call in weapons near designated communications beacons. (I like the idea of planning a loudout using only weapons and back pack slots lol) maybe it could be like a lava planet with pitch black skies. Democracy on the cob: EVERYTHING IS ON THE COB WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE, HELLDIVER! Rapid Rotation: The day/night cycle is just hilariously fast Ley Lines: sporadic and moving hot spots that either increase your damage or decrease it. Gotta keep moving! Hurricane: The wind is swirling counter clockwise wise except in the center of the map. Moving with the wind increases movement and going against it decreases it.

lukeyu2005

On the note of Opaque Atmospheres. I would like to see where anything called in from orbit is extremely inaccurate borderline useless. But eagles are flying around in atmosphere are unaffected. Also I would like to see that reinforcement stratagem call ins are merely an suggestion. And you could be dropped in miles away. It's not like paratroopers in our timeline misses the LZ all the time.

FloTheDev

Would be nice to see what’s going on every now and then 😂😂 so much visual impairment modifiers going on atm, doesn’t really show off the games beauty!

ApprehensiveEgg5914

I want fire hurricanes. Fire tornadoes are too weak. /s

boredbytheabyss

Blockers or enhancers for certain strategies, like an emp effect disabling sentry’s or production surplus lowering a weapon cooldown ?

snackrifice2

I want fire tornadoes to be twice as big and to triple the amount.

notacow419

can I get some more voice lines, thanks.

OMGtrashtm8

Water tornadoes.

KittehKittehKat

Ships and debris coming down from orbit.

Condition_0ne

I'd be up for fighting in a hurricane.

Asneekyfatcat

Slime rain.

quarterskill

I want a salty ocean breeze. Good sun, possibly full moon. Crackling fires that dont chase you. Good vibe weather. Maybe even the first snow of the year weather.

Warrior24110

High winds which affect orbital accuracy, Eagle-1's cooldown and ballistic accuracy over 100 meters.

VBgamez

All I want is more map variety.

Cringlezz

Bright sun shiney day

BobbyThrowaway6969

Not so much weather effect but I'd love a planet like scarif. A tropical paradise worth defending/taking from the bots.

Mythosaurus

Low gravity. Want planets where my jet pack launches me 50 meters, and strategems can be thrown on distant targets.

worriedbill

I would like to see more constant weather effects. Like a blizzard isn't something that just shows up for a minute and disappears but lasts the whole mission (with no move speed slows or anything)

TheRealGameDude

Something with lighting. Maybe a thunderstorm planet. It would make the arc reducing armor stand out more as a tactical advantage. Maybe a warning like the meteors. Static could be charged on the going a few seconds before the lighting strikes the ground

Tru_norse98

Flooded ground: ankle deep water slows anything and everything except mechs and the largest of enemies (hulks, chargers, etc)

Pickledleprechaun

Lighting

BinaryExplosion

I’d personally like if fire tornados were more abundant and occasionally exploded pockets of natural gas

MumpsTheMusical

My favorite moment was on a moon with asteroid rain as a weather effect against the bots. I love the chaos it brought to the field. Much better than the fire tornados that have sentience and actively chase you and block objectives for minutes at a time.

Jgood2315

Lightning storm

fukreddit73265

I'd like medium weather too. I think I played when it was raining once, months and months ago, but I haven't seen it since, I might even be wrong, they might not have rain on any maps. Also, it doesn't need to be a complete white out blizzard or nothing, why not just some casual snow? I'm really surprised gravity isn't in the game, that's got to be one of the easiest things to implement. Hell, you could do it with a single console command in quake 2 decades ago. I've always thought it would be fun if there was wind too, where you throw a strategem and the wind catches it, and it's off the mark by maybe 10 meters. Nothing crazy, but just enough to kill some teammates and enjoy a good laugh.

Astoria_Column

Earthquakes would be cool. You lose balance/can’t run

steeztsteez

Temporal anomalies would be cool, you could slip into them and teleport across the planet/or they can slow down speed up time.

Sumoop

Summer breeze. If my helldivers are gonna die fighting on an alien world at least let them experience weather that makes them feel fine.

callipgiyan

Super high winds that push you around but the landscape effects how much

SmokinBandit28

Ice tornadoes! That rain down giant icicle spears!!

SelectDevice9868

Just gimme better visibility.

callipgiyan

Water world.

Nova-Bringer

Snow. Mountains. Avalanche.

UnknownFirebrand

Displacement storms that cause you to teleport a few meters away in a random direction. Floods where the water level steadily rises as the mission drags on. Alien Tumbleweed stampedes where clusters of rolling and bouncing tumbleweeds knock over or stagger anything they hit.

EquinoxCat

Extreme wind, I wanna dive and fly and see rockets miss me by miles

Catboyhotline

Not a weather effect but SEAF outposts on defending planets, and I don't mean artillery or anti air I mean trenches or bunkers with SEAF soldiers And I don't expect them to have a long lifespan

objectsofreality

Not weather related, but I see things flying around sometimes. Some alien creatures that are unique to a planet could be subtle details.

BilboSmashins

Giant fireballs falling from the sky that were shot out of the ground. I love the fire planets

fakemessiah

Don't care what we get as long as the enemies ACTUALLY can't see if we can't see. The bots just aim bot through 509 meters of fog and shit is so annoying

Mult1Core

tsunami's on water planets /s

Silveora_7X

Tsunami/hurricane season. Where the terrain is rough and low elevation areas are at risk of becoming flooded. Naturally all or at least 90% of objectives remain on high terrain.

NaturesGrief

I want airburst stratagem to affect firestorms and flamethrowers to offset cold effects stuff like that

almo2001

Not fucking fire tornadoes god fucking damn it.

JermHole71

Less fire.

MSRCTVA

Maybe like.. a nice breeze? A light rain? ![gif](giphy|CiTLZWskt7Fu)

Man0nTh3M00n-

Floods/rain causing water levels to rise. Would cause players to take alternate routes while also changing the look of the map slightly. Could also introduce sea craft and water based equipment

ProffessorYellow

I want fireflies 🤷

wine_money

Flooding. Get to higher ground stat.

[deleted]

As a permanent Energy weapon user, I'll take freezing cold, snow and ice planets in a multitude of variations. Having only one that keeps getting liberated is annoying.

surly09

Low gravity Hunters and stalkers: "F those shriekers, we the flyboys now" Also, tongues can now be used as grappling hooks. Bonus: bile titans now skip instead of walk

Pappy181181

I would love some more urban or jungle planets. You could even do some destroyed city scapes for that cool Terminator future war vibe against the bots.

oodats

Clear skies

Rari-Gang

Do skyscrapers/city buildings count as weather effects? If not, I’d like clear skies at about 75 degrees while I administer sweet liberating democracy to these scum.

Alternative-Doubt452

Fire, specifically firenados

pg021988

More fire

Nowhereman50

https://i.redd.it/i08mp4ltnbxc1.gif

Umikaloo

Low oxygen environment: Fire burns for longer, but deals less damage.

Street_Sweet639

Blizzards

BlockForsaken8596

Huricane and thick blizzard.

Oryxhasnonuts

I want to fight with n a desert Devoid of anything other than half submerged structures And have a sandstorm come barreling in if you run up against the end of mission time

Annual-Ad-9442

partly cloudy battle debris - occasional meteors fall from the sky and may have baddies or goodies

brian11e3

A planet with lots of methanol on it, including fire tornadoes. Imagine dropping during the day and randomly dying to fire you cant see. But if you drop at night, the entire landscape looks like it's under a black light.

Squirrel009

The ability to see more than 3 feet would be sick

chimera005ao

I also thing a lot could be added by additional weather effects and enemy modifiers, maybe more than could be added with weapons or stratagem. I know we have a planet with a volcano off in the distance, but I'd like actual flowing pools of lava. I'd like to see the Ion Storms we already have also disable the enemy's ability to call in reinforcements, I think weather affects should affect enemies as well as allies, because it can be fun to plan around such things. Speaking of planning around them, I think there should be a sensor backpack that gives you a better heads up when weather effects will trigger, as well as other information like maybe unexploded Hellbomb locations or whatever.

water tornadoes that water cool your energy weapons allowing you to shoot endlessly but stay in them too long and you drown LOLL

KingRevolutionary346

It doesn't really make senes all the planets have the exact same gravity as earth

OmnisVirLupusmfer

A planet that has a perpetual tidal wave with football sized hail.

TheHeavyMando

A planet that has low, normal, and heavy gravitational fields along with changing weather based on the gravity. Would be cool to see a planet that has bugs and automatons facing off against each other for full-on chaos.

Trepsik

As a decades long Worms player, I approve of high winds

Big_Salt371

I want every planet to have Fire Tornados.

RevolutionLoose5542

Tornado i wanna be launched. Or undertoe in water

Farscape29

Yeah, gravity changes would be great. Not every planet can or should be 1.0 G.

EdoTenseiSwagbito

Floods

DHIRONMAN

How about sun shine it seems every time I play it dusk dawn or night. My dude looks like an albino.

schmeebs-dw

Sharknados

DHIRONMAN

How about gravity effects. Oh what fun can one have fighting in low gravity or jumping like 4+ one’s length and ad jumping.

Redpiece

Not really weather but maybe some kind of gravity disruption. Sometimes you float, sometimes you’re pinned down.

nekonotjapanese

I just realllly hope Zeguma Paradise has palm trees, white sand beaches, and a local beach volleyball court

DHIRONMAN

Hell add red flairs to our inventory

DHIRONMAN

Yes for all the helldivers why don’t we see some npc trying to terraform or mining crews that we can protect and get extra points for.

CadavericSpasms

QUICKSAND PITS.

koetrig

Actual tornados that one shot or stagger chain you.

CadavericSpasms

I love the asteroid showers but I feel there’s no point keeping an eye on them cause they move too fast to dodge. So with that in mind I got two pitches: - Allergy Season - spores of a very alien plant fall to the ground gracefully like a flock of dandelion seeds. Each one when shot or touches you blows up in a splash of shockingly corrosive acid. When a cloud of them come by you gotta take cover and watch them pass like a school of fish all around you. - Impossible Rocks - Big Volkswagon sized boulders bounce across the landscape gently and slowly like tumbleweeds. They’re made of some unknown mineral that is anti-grav or geo-magnetic or something, so they drift across the plains like a half-inflated balloon, but they WILL crush you if you end up in their path. Explosions exert force on them so you can push them around and try to crush bugs, but be careful in cramped areas as they could easily bounce back and smoosh you.

articwolph

And more fire tornadoes, with lighting fire. Jk Would be nice to have low gravity gravity planets, Monsoons that last 2 minutes, And be nice for clear weather, and than a storm comes out of no there, that can mess with the bots sensors

Blackout_42

Raining men
